Ive realized Im aging when I actually like car models from 2015 versus now. Tech is starting to clutter new models up and designs are getting weird.
I still remember those times when the CCR came out and the CCX and CCXR were just Concept Cars. I definitely feel old now...

A decade, and yet it doesn’t seem as dated as some cars built three years ago.
It doesn't look dated because Morrissey is still making cars that lol pretty much the same. The Jesko could very easily be confused for a CC. They're going for a Porsche 911 "timeless" thing, but it's not working. The Jesko looks ancient next to the new hypercars like the Valkyrie and Aston 003.

Yeah except that horrendous interior..It looks like shit compared to cars like Veyron,Carerra GT Ford GT and so on..The one in Agera will not age good as well.
Well the CCX is based on the CC and that one started on 1999.
When I think of the CC/R/X, I also think of the Ferrari F50 and the Lamborghini Diablo. And thats no surprise since their production time is close or even overlaps. Those where the supercars featured in early 2000s video games. For me this car is dated, ancient almost.

The little storage space between the seats that's shaped like the crest... It's also exactly the same size as the key. Want to guess why? That's where the key goes. 😞
Michael Richter I was just going to point that out too. That’s why the key for has no keychain loop or ring or whatever, so it fits perfectly in that indent for temporary storage while driving.

The Stig was crashing with one of the first CCX which didn't have any rear wing. After the feedback of him and Top Gear Koenigsegg did add the rear wing for more downforce to all following models including the CCX above.

It is an aftermarket head unit produced by Joying running Android - which was barely a thought in 2008. A bit surprised that Doug was not keen enough to know that you didn't have responsive touch screen android units in 2008.
Is it actually shocking that Doug doesn't know what the generic Android based head unit was? This just isn't any kind of "common knowledge" - nor is the factory Koenigsegg CCX factory head unit any kind of common knowledge.
But, hey, I guess if it makes you feel better that you can identify a generic aftermarket head unit that Doug couldn't, then, uhhh... I'm, uhh, happy for you...?
@@RyTrapp0 Not that he didn't know what it was, but that he didn't know what it wasn't. There was no touch screen technology in 2008 anywhere near that advanced. It wasn't original, and even the cheap ass sticker should have tipped him off to that.

Some of it was good yes but nothing on par with a modern Android system. A system like that simply did not exist in 2008. There were infotainments, but they were much cruder.

The simple controls and basic technology in the cabin is absolutely beautiful and gives the car a desirable retro feel. Take out the entertainment system and it's perfect.

It's not a drivable calculator. It's a car with a tablet mounted to the dash that is stuck in somewhat permanent "landscape" position.

Hey! I was catching up on your videos and I just saw THIS car at the RM auction on Saturday. Surprised to find it was the actual same car, not just another CCX. It went right past the block at $850K, I don't think it met the reserve though. While I did see it, I wasn't able to get as close a look, in person, as I was through this video!

Maybe he was paid by KE to say that, to clear up rumors of the past from Top Gear, where it totally failed on the track. Just a idea. Still, I didn't drive those cars so I wouldn't know. In the end I'm pretty sure they have both very good steering and that's enough.
The crest shape spot on the center console between the seats is actually the spot to hold the key while ur in and driving the vehicle so u dont have to have the key in ur pocket or laying around in the vehicle somewhere

In most supercars, the best way to get in is by sitting down first then sliding both feet in. Putting one foot first, as he did in this video, is unusual for entering an exotic car.

Hey Doug, the different arrows correspond to removing and installing the wheels. If you look closely, you'll notice a different torque spec to loosen and tighten the lugs.

(17:52) I'm very sure that wasn't the original infotainment system, but an aftermarket upgrade. The calculator being present is because it's one of those Joying (or other brand) of head unit from China which runs custom software based on the tablet version of Android (as opposed to Android Automotive OS), that calculator app appears to be the AOSP Android 4.x calculator but with a different icon.

Doug the reason the wheel nut caps have different direction arrows is because on the right side of the car the nuts are right hand thread and the other its left but all 4 nut caps can be mounted on ether side and must have been put on the wrong side there only covers
The heating temperature dial should have a red & blue sticker or something there, you can see it in other Cxx's
