folompleonleaves sinful colours, Morgan Taylor, (and in my experience) the sally hansen miracle gel, also getting a good topcoat helps dry the polish!
folompleonleaves that’s going to depend on your body chemistry. What never dries on one, may dry fine on another. I’ve never had a polish never dry on me.
Not that I ever wear pastels (literally never), but holo pastels could be nice.

It would be really cool to have nude holos. Like a similar formula as the linear rainbow collection but then a range from a deep dark warm brown to a pale beige pink. It would look different from just a holo topcoat over a nude since the holo would be in a coloured gelly base and it would look way more dimensional. It would also be cool if the holo itself was coloured nude instead of just silver.
It would be the most holo sexual collection since they're nudes ;)

I’ve done nude and grey polish with a holo top coat. It’s a great look. Is subdued enough for a moderate work environment while still making me feel like the prettiest princess.

I would buy 'regular' or 'boring' colors from your brand as you have taken the time to build the relationship between you and quality products. I 'feel' as if each of your polishes have been thoroughly tested by you to ensure that they are high performing. You have shown us video evidence of that! The 'drugstore' or 'boring' brands - while yes, they are much more widely spread - cannot hold a candle to your One Coat Black. I have 7 other black polishes that I don't even use - because I got some One Coat Black. I am patiently waiting for Royal-tea blue to come back in stock because I NEED it.
This was a long comment but my point is - you have built the brand loyalty that equates into people continuing to buy your product - even though it is at a higher price point - because you built that relationship, and they KNOW they will get quality.
KNOCK THEM OTHER COMPANIES OFF THEIR STUPID DRUGSTORE PEDESTALS~!

@Alicia P I found their polish never wanted to dry. Even with a top coat my nails were denting the next day. Just not a good brand

@@Orchidlettux nope they should harden within an hour of application. Some times it can be a crap top coat but in Ice case it’s crappy polish. Sally is probably the best wide spread drug store nail polish. They still have a few misses pigment wise but they are usually pretty good. The Xtreame and Hard As Nails formulas rarely disappoint.
Edit: On and the Sally Hansen Insta Dry top coat in the red bottle is a pretty good drugstore top coat.
I had a pink polish from them as a kid. I kept it for years. It never worked nicely.
I think a lot of people have always thought of Holo Taco as Christine's brand, but Ben always refers to it as theirs and seems to be really invested. How involved is Ben? What is his role in the business?

Seriously I need you all to make a pink. I mean HOT PINK, your cremes are dreamy and would just love your quality in those type of polishes. Yes we have them but they are not the quality that we get from Holo taco. I mean I would love for all my layers to be the same brand because sometimes I find mixing brands just doesn’t go well together.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love holo in all its kinds and forms but I love pastels as well! Not nude, I find it boring, but a pale pink, baby blue, light violet, mint green, etc. are some of my favourite colours in general, including nail polish colours. However I agree with Cristine, you could find those polishes anywhere and Holo Taco always comes out with something unique and I think it should stay that way
I highly recommend trying Linear Holo over some form of pearl nailpolish, I got a few from the OPI pearl line and they work wonderfully with Linear Holo Taco.

Idk their indigo and blue colours aren't that unique, I've had similar coloured polishes since I was a kid. I don't see why they can't release lighter coloured bases

Essie is the worst. Horrible quality, needs multiple coats, and it's expensive for what it is.
What I like about Essie is the tiny brushes. For doing my toenails, I’m screwed with most brushes, because the brush is bigger than my toenail! My pinkies are tiny too, so it’s tricky. But I wish they built up better and dried better.
@@JClover2 Essie is ridiculously expensive for its quality. The drugstore polishes I get in my country would cost around $2 and are 100 times better

@@septemberabend1 maybe it depends on the specific polish. The 2 I have are not good but maybe some other formulas work better.
I understand where Cristine is coming from feeling like her consumers would already have these baseline products as they're wide spread, but the issue is they aren't wide spread in high quality in my opinion. Or at the very least not as well formulated as the Holo Taco formulas. In my experience, most high quality formulas are going to have to be ordered online since they aren't really readily available. If I'm shopping online, I'd much rather be supporting my Holo Queen! 💿👸

Any polish would make you stop biting your nails if nail polish is the solution for *your* type of anxiety. Unless it's because of the glitter finish, but then again, holotaco is definitely not the only brand with glitter polish
@@victormunhozzz I think it's more because she has a connection to holotaco deeper than you're typical drug store nail polish. It's not that holotaco itself is a cure. It's the mindset behind specifically holotaco.

If Holo Taco made cream polish it would not be boring because their formula is off the charts AMAZING!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think that with the brand's starting products being toppers like the unicorn skins and the holo tacos it makes a lot of sense for the brand's image to add basic cremes to the line over time! Even if you only release a few neutrals in a year, that's all you need to build up a universal base. Kick off with a beigey pink and a chocolate brown and that's enough to include just about every skin tone in two cremes.
Also, some nude linear holos would be killer. Like, a lawyer or doctor could wear some holo beige to work and their professional image wouldn't suffer.
I like how thoughtful Ben is about the business. He pays attention to feedback.

Tastes are very different. I love nudes and browns and creme colours for nailpolish, but I also appreciate all the unique polishes from your brand. I'd wear them as accent nails but I could never wear them on all my fingers. I just love classy, clean minimalistic nails and that's ok. I'd still buy a holo taco immediately if you'd shipped to my country 😅

Poparazzi (CVS Pharmacy's house brand) makes nice multi chromes. I bought Mermaid Charade and Born Unicorn today. The only drawback is that you have to use a black nail polish for a base to make these colors really pop. I used LA Colors Color Last polish in Onyx (CNP 31), because it doesn't take more than two coats to build the color, and it dries pretty quick.

I think that Holo Taco pastels could be nice, but like, in the future maybe. Because you've pointed out before, polishes from the same brand *tend* to work better together. I'm not saying a full set of neutrals, but like, what I see people usually call the Easter Egg spread of colors. Even a set of four of like, light pink/yellow/green/blue.
I am the exact opposite - I exclusively creme nudes and pinks (occasionally red if I feel adventurous) I tbh I extremely dislike any sort of glitter, holo, multi-anything

I love the holo taco creme formula and would love to have more colour options. The Holo taco top coats sit so well on them.

I personally like neutral polishes because they go well with most of my outfits and I feel like they're flattering for my finger shape

I don’t do other pastels because a lot of the formulas are streaky. I trust your quality control and would definitely buy your pastels!
I LOVE the wet and wild no black light gel polishes that they had a few years ago. I think they discontinued the line but when I saw them on clearance at Walgreens I bought one in each shade and 3 in black because they’re my favorite. They go so long without chipping and were less than $5 a bottle.

I rarly wear nail polish bit since covid i been doing a lot of practice. I love doing glitter but i had to take a bake because my nail were getting week and cracking and peeling. Your tutorials have helped a lot.
Everyone seems to love Essie, but for some reason Essie hates my nails. My base and top coat are fine, because they work with every other polish that I have had, but Essie cracks within a day, or peels off (yes I wrap the tip etc), doesn't apply smoothly etc.
And the polish isn't faulty either, because it works for everyone else who've tried my Essie polishes. I guess my nails are as cheap as me, because Essence, Flormal and Catrice work the best for my nails. Lasts for over a week before it even chips.
Expensive things alot of times are scam...you will find alot of people share the same opinion with you Essie doesn't worth the hype ..and I'm one from them
This is such a fair statement! My gateway nail polish brand was Essie and I still love their wide flat brush. I do love their more recent collections with easy to use cremes but since I got into Indie brands and holo...it’s hard to look back! 😆 Having less time for dry time with 2 little ones, I’m getting into gels and wondering, can I add holo taco over a dry, cured gel nail polish? Most gels can be boring creme formulas. 😔

I’m here after holo taco just created a pastel pink and a cyan color! I’m glad to know she is branching out and making all kinds of polishes!
I love the ps gel effect polishes from Primark (live in the UK) dries super fast, long lasting and most are smooth one coaters.
for me, as someone whose interest in nail polish i actually want to own and use kind of starts and ends with holo taco and your channel, I don’t have those basic nude and pink creme polishes already, and i also don’t feel i have the knowledge to be able to find another brand that’s as well formulated as holo taco on my own. Currently your brand is the only high-end nail polish brand that i have faith that is high quality and i will enjoy, that i know of. And so, of course i would want Holo Taco to release a creme line, because its something i want to buy and own to use with your other products, and i don’t know where else to get it currently, even if it’s clearly not holo taco’s focus as a brand.
Just in case you maybe wanted to try some other brands, Kathleenlights brand Lights Lacquer has really nice cremes (her supernova collection is beautiful if you like purples) as well as the brand Cirque Colors (awesome neons and duochromes).

There's nothing *wrong* with drugstore brands. I have 2 dollar ones that perform fantastic up to 15 dollar indies. The important factors are base and top coat. I don't understand why'd you limit yourself over something like brand, there's sooo much color out there, just watch swatch videos on youtube. Apparently I'm a salon perfect girl, which is a 4 dollar polish from walmart. Their neon collection is superb. Essie has me covered with soft tone cremes. China Glaze has my one coat black. (Cristine's suggestion btw) Sinful Colors has my one coat white. OPI has my favorite white. Just watch swatch videos.
I love that this highlight was in my recommended and prompted me to rewatch it now that Cristine's come out with creme pastels and is likely about to release holo pastels as well lmao
1:16 -- oh, how the tables have turned. Personally, I love that Holo Taco is slowly expanding into cremes. I enjoy sparkle once in a while, especially the unicorn toppers, and the new shimmer is gorgeous, but generally speaking I want my nails to be a dark creme with a light accent color (or vice versa). The new "pastel violet," laven-duh color is especially beautiful. I just wish it came out 5 months ago. This collection matched my wedding colors exactly, and it would've been nice to have a high quality creme to wear that day xD
I love the holo taco formula, so more creme base polishes would be nice. The quick dry factor is so useful.

I would absolutely love if they came out with a nude line! I love sparkle, but only once in awhile. But I also love her formula and it’s the only brand that has lasted more then 3 days on me. So even though every brand has “nude shades” id still buy theirs in a heartbeat.

I just recently bought the glossy taco and one of the holo tacos and I cant express how much I love them! I'm usually not super bold tho, and I'd love to see some good quality "boring" polishes or multichromes especially since I really appreciate how your brand is vegan and cruelty free.
I think a collegiate line would be so cool. Like, I’m attending Mizzou, and you could pair black and gold together in a bundle 🤩
I love Essie's colors but my nails dont always agree with them in terms of drying smoothly, same with sinful colors (if it dries to begin with!)

At least for me I would be interested in more plain colors in holo taco mostly because of Christine's input in the quality. I mean I have a few nudes that I love but they don't wear long enough however I have nail issues and even gel doesn't stay for longer than a week. The main interest is in knowing she could make the best product because of her knowledge and experience.
do I own 5 different classic dark red nail polishes? Yes. Am I 100% happy with any of them? Nope. I would love a really good quality dark red nail polish! Like the one coat black but just in red!
I would love a nude nail polish collection from holo taco (even one with a twist), since a lot of professionals can’t really wear non-neutrals to their office!
I get that the pastel and neutral colors are highly available but Id love a holo taco brand of like a pastel purple or pastel pink....sometimes its hard to find a good quality pastel/neutral nail polish so if holo taco came out with one Id buy them right away

Funny she used liquid lipstick as an example because the ONLY one I have ever found that lasted more than an hour is Cover Girl Outlast but it still dries my lips out even with the gloss. Finally gave up on it when they changed my go to color to a different formula.
Try Maybelline superstay liquid inks
I like painting my nails but I gotta be careful to use colors that don’t catch my eye (so like neutral colors or soft colors). I’ve got a bad habit of biting them so I’ve learned out of sight out of mind kind of thing works best for me. So a neutral color that blends in helps me forget I have nails but when I do accidentally glance at them I don’t get fixated on all the tiny little details of my nails, and I only have a passing thought of “yay pretty nails”
I do have to say, using products across brands, is actually where you run into issues due to differences in formula. Like a Holo Taco base and top coat with a boring creme from a different brand in the middle may not last as long as if all 3 polishes were specifically Holo Taco's formula.
Maybe a pastel spring/Easter collection as basecoat?

I think it would be cool if Christine came out with a line that the colors are really rare. So it would kinda be like Gucci but for color if that makes sense. ( Like Vantablack, Fulvous, Glaucous, Xanadu, and coquelicot) also not saying doing another black but just colors that you don’t usually see people make or wear.

For me there are specific brands I won’t buy such as Barry m and Claire’s and moon or Poundland/makeup alley for my normal nails because they just don’t last a significant amount of time I use them for false nails inbetween two layers of gel becuause that does work but yanno I base my opinions of brands based on the duration of their products really because I want my nail polish to last for days not to chip off the second the wind blows on them
From the beginning I was all hyped about those crazy and glittery colours when it came to nail polish also. I remember 15 years ago all I wear was a blue to green to gold multicrome polish from maybelline. there is one particular polish which is very special to me. It is the show must go on from opi. Opi cost almost a fortune here in Germany (16€ so about 18$) and this one particular colour I couldn't find any brand that had something similar. It is a red to gold shifting polish which is made out of tiny glassflecs. I own all polishes that where shown as similar colours in the internet for example the one from mac but they all have a pink or brown hint and not that strawberry red base and for years now nobody came out again with a colour like this. When I found out about indie brands I was thinking one day I will find a brand which makes a polish like this but I didn't. So maybe holo taco can make something similar? It is a really unique polish tho.

I don't actually own any beige or light pink cremes. I always mean to buy one and just... always buy something more exciting instead.

As someone in a job who needs to look out what type of nailpolish colors they wear, I'd definitely appreciate some more nuded colors that are still exciting and not too boring.
