@Steve the roblox gammer because they didn’t? And lawyers don’t sue. Companies do. Lawyers just do the paperwork for the suing. And it’s not a lawyers fault for delivering the suing papers. They’re just doing their job.

Anyone can sue or do bad things to.. well anyone.. so I don't think it's fair to single out this lawyer or any lawyers at all. Especially with the comment above me, it's their job to hand out the papers, not to actually sue.
@Steve the roblox gammer that was sent to avoid potential confusion and possible lawsuits in the future. That is how it should be done. They wanted to have a conversation so everyone could have a clear picture of what each brand was intending to do with the trademark. That was excellent business practice.
Also, the lawyer only does what is asked of them by the client. Them having fun with that letter was great.

As a lawyer wouldn’t it be hard to claim taco even if it is talking about nail polish? Considering other brands with taco related names like even the taco scented nail polish?
@@kristindionne8143 I mean a company once actually obtained the legal rights and copyright to the happy birthday song, trust me if a company has enough money and power you would be surprised what they can and cannot trademark. Also trademark laws are really weird and oddly flexible there has been stuff that you would think should be trademarked that cannot be trademarked, and some that shouldn't be able to be trademarked that are.
Usually to trademark something it can have loads of different factors included and in some situations it can be allowed or not allowed.
Basically to answer your questions yes and no.
Yeh I guess when it’s a letter otherwise you’d have to always be serious and make sure your wording is correct etc etc.

I'm sorry, that letter is flirting with you to create a relationship to do a "Taco Bell" product line. All those nail polish references in the letter from the lawyer is a clear flirt. That letter is funny.
This actually made me want Taco Bell. Knowing how thet conduct business and how they treated smaller business owners like you with respect is very important to me. So they just got a new customer lol

It's interesting to consider that nail polish, "taco tuesday", by Sinful Colors? Because it's a nail polish using "taco", but it's in reference to the food "taco", instead of using the word as a placement for "top-coat". Interesting intersection!
“Taco Tuesday” is a thing by itself too, which probably helps. And it’s from a food themed collection as well I believe.

thank you for being transparent about all the legal work that goes into creating a brand and trademarking sayings and internet slang, it's so interesting and i don't know of any other "influencers" or internet celebrity who do that. it really goes to show the amount of money and time spent in the building of a brand! a lot can go wrong if not taken seriously
