Right? I have nothing against what other people like, but I personally find beauty gurus deeply problematic for a plethora of reasons. Sometimes I think people would be better off if they were ignored a little more.

Thank you for posting clips. It's a lot easier for me to digest this way. Podcasts are always so long for my short attention span. Have you ever tried meditating? I know how ridiculous it sounds, and don't think I'm some anitvaxx mom, but meditating for like 10 minutes a day really changed my life in terms of being able to focus on longer/less crazy visually things.
For Cristine’s podcasts, you can look in her description and it will tell you all of the time stamps for different parts of the video. So if you just want to see what was in the thumbnail, you can just use that 👍🏻

Christine, seeing a dermatologist is a good idea, not sure if you already seen one already... of course everyone’s situation is different, my skin was awful and after seeing a proper doctor and getting prescription, things really started improving. Sending love from Quebec💙

this happens to me too out of nowhere i’ll get these rashes around my eyes and they swell etc etc. i went to a dermatologist and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me they automatically assumed it was because of makeup products but they came even when i stopped wearing makeup :( i also got blood tests done bc they thought it was something autoimmune and til this day we still don’t know what it is i just kinda let it happen. it comes and goes
I mean. She did a video together with Tati after dramageddon lol and Cristine also supported her on Twitter after the whole thing. Pretty clear that they’re kinda friends lol

They did a video together after Tati did her rant on Instagram about being betrayed ( th-cam.com/video/fghXp4CpfNA/w-d-xo.html ) but before the Bye Sister video that she uploaded on the 10th of May (if Wikipedia is correct lol). I remembered if was right after but my memory betrayed me. But I’m 100% sure that Cristine publicly supported her after Tati uploaded the infamous video, she posted a Tweet saying something like “Love you Tatea” 🤣

I know I'm late to the party, but if you did still want to collab with Nikki (assuming we're ever able to travel again) you could do a video where you try and recreate one of her makeup look on her and she tries to recreate one of your nail looks on you.. Just a thought in case you ever did want to do a (final?) beauty collab

With a trained eye, you know it's a filter. Just like how we KNOW when someones wearing foundation. When she does check ins or close ups you can see everything. ALL makeup gurus or skincare gurus...when they do close ups i see the hyperpigmentation.
Dude I met Tati once in Seattle when I worked at the Drybar and got really upclose and personal and HER FUCKING UNMAKEUPED SKIN IS UNFAIR and I was looking ROUGH and HUNGOVER like wow thanks

Having sensitivity to makeup holds me back a lot, too. Usually they can make my eyelashes fall out in mild cases. It makes my eyes swell up in the worst cases.
I thought it was because of drama but I remembered the allergic reaction lol
it's so good for my mental health to see someone I look up to talk about skin issues similar to mine 💕 I can't even wear concealer up to cover up the red patches on my face and my eyes are a total mess

I’m sure you’ll never see this Cristine, but on the off chance you do I’d like to recommend seeing an optometrist for your eyes. I used to have a huge problem with the skin around my eyes getting rashes/puffing up horribly and it turned out that it was actually my eyes/inside my eyelids that was the problem, and that was just affecting the skin outside of my eyes as well. Hopefully you can find out what the problem is and find a solution, because I understand how horrible and embarrassing the eye rashes can be!
Now that I hear that her skin reaction happened in the summer and in the warm temperature of LA, it made me think that it might be the heat irritating her skin. That happens to me as well. Hope she is doing better!

There are quite many beauty TH-camrs who uses filters on their videos (whether that be for evening out/changing the lighting hues in the room or for smoothing out their skin). It’s the reason why some you tubers eyeshadow colors comes of way different in their videos than the actual products, so it’s an understandable question to wonder if she looks the same irl.
Add on: though my guess with Tati is that the beauty filters that I’ve seen some beauty you tubers use wouldn’t really work for her since she doesn’t use a blank wall or a green screen, since the filter would probably affect the background as well?
Could you do the make up series but give the beauty guru your own makeup to use so that doesn't irritate your skin? When vivid is over and stuff

I understand. I have eczema as well as Dyshidrotic eczema on my hands. When this Covid whole thing stated and I started getting stressed out over everything I got rashes on the back of my neck and on my eyelid (never had them there before)!
1) I have always, ALWAYS respected and admired Cristine for not getting into drama and being a normal, humble person ❤
2) I saw this video, got mildly stressed.
3) Relieved that this is NOT drama related haha. You never cease to amaze me ❤ ily so much you special person.
Hey! I had very similar eye issues and after a while they went mad and it spread to my entire face and neck. Not great! Turns out I have developed a bunch of contact allergies and the doctor gave me a patch test to find them. I have to avoid a shit load of products now (can buy basically no soap or shampoo from a normal drug store) but I no longer have the rashes/eczema! I'd really recommend getting tested before it gets as bad as I let it get. If you do and find a way to continue teach me how to beauty, I hope to run into you in The Netherlands! I live in the same province as Nikkie!

My skin does the same thing once a year! In my case, I'm allergic to SOMETHING environmental because when I lived in a different area I didn't get it. LA has a lot of dust, flowers, and trees but I don't know about where you currently live.

Hey if it's seasonal with a slight variation traveling south, it might be something natural like pollen from a specific plant family active that time of year. Your dermatologist will know the times for local plants, but not LA plants, so the 2020 and 2021 dates will be a major clue.

I only had a rash like that on my eye once, in college. It was like shingles except it’s didn’t burn or itch. I just had a patch of it over one eye, but I couldn’t wear ANYTHING for months, even mascara. I tried once when I thought it was clearing and it cam raging back.
Fortunately it finally cleared up around Thanksgiving(US) after being there for about 6 months or so. I didn’t wear any makeup for Thanksgiving, but I was finally able to wear makeup for my December graduation. And I didn’t wear cheap or bad stuff, I wore Clinique, so who knows what caused the issue. I was just grateful that it cleared up.
Yes please come to the Netherlands one time and don’t only go to Amsterdam. Cities like Utrecht and Maastricht are also amazing for visiting!

lol like 6 months later but do go see a dermatologist when it next flares up, it sounds like a seasonal eczema and it's honestly the easiest thing in the world to deal with, you don't have to put up with the discomfort of it at all. So I guess people expected her to have SOME sort of comment about it, especially after it was discovered that maybe Tati was the real drama starter or something? I wasn't totally updated on it, I don't really care about James or Tati, but since it was referred to in a SimplyNailogical video, I was kinda expecting SOME sort of comment from Cristine, not gonna lie. I have an issue where out of no where I get a crazy rash on my face my eyes swell so much when the swelling goes down it leaves black eyes. Turns out I am allergic to rag weed and it grows in my back yard and my dog loves rubbing against the weed. Maybe it is something equally as stupid for you as well
