This is the most insightful, and strangely uplifting rejection video I’ve ever seen. I just got rejected from *all* my dream schools, but this video is so much more assuring than any other videos out there telling me “you’ll be fine” and “the system is bad anyway.”
Hey, same here. I got rejected from all my dream schools, since I’m an international student I’ll be having to study in a college of my country. A lot of people immediately told me it was okay and that I did good. But it’s not true. I know exactly what I could have done better. Like the video said, we must move forward but realize this rejection is just an opportunity to change and improve. Take care and good luck
I didn’t get rejected anywhere. I am an athlete, and I had an invite to visit 2 ivies. I worked incredibly hard, but at the end I just missed a spot. I had a 1500+ sat, ISEF finalist, national merit semifinalist, and nationally competitive athlete. What I was doing was working, but I never got to apply to those 2 ivies. I got an offer to both brown, a D1 school, and another Us news T10 that was D3, but my dad made me chose the D3 school. I am so thankful for attending this school, but all of my friends are athletes and none of them are proud knowing I had D1 ivies as options and then lost them and now am going to an academically prestigious D3 school despite being a D1 tier athlete. Seeing what could have been ALWAYS hurts, but if you stay determined, you can always find success no matter where you go. You did your best; now it will be easier to continue offering your all.
i have no idea what any of those rankings mean, but i am not american so that might be why, still if you are happy thats good!! does being an athlete matter for you guys' unis? i see the mention of it very often and just now i am starting to think there might be a connection between sports and american unis
Some questions: How'd you make ISEF? Would you reccomend I use ChatGPT to generate ideas and then probe them? Is getting NMS just based on if you got a high SAT score?
Schools are school, you are you. Don't be sad, I know it's hard but believe in yourself. Only you decide what's in your future not someone from the admissions office. Best of luck!
Amen man. I am a dual enrollment junior student and I've been working my ass off lately, but the pain of discipline is better than the pain of rejection.
I just get rejected by my art school in my city and it was the best option for me , now I have to move in another country but it's gonna be hard without my parents ... I really don't want to leave everythings behind and my friends ;-;
feel like this can be easily taken as: "if you don't get in youre worthless as a human" (which isn't true) but the main msg of this video is: change. what he says may hurt but that's because change is uncomfortable, but it leads you to a better position. anyhow life brings misfortune, and it can be half out of our control and half in our control. all we can do is identify our part which we should change and play that well. but just bc, you don't go to an ivy, doesn't mean you're less intelligent. in fact believing that isn't logically sound itself... falling on a false social standard infused by emotion rather than sound logic, which ironically perpetrates many of us high achieving students, is in itself something a little stupid.
Always try try and try, that way you don’t live with regrets. Good luck, I recommend you to consider your extracurriculars very well, develop good studying habits, be planning the life that you want to have, your goals. I wish you the best, truly

It’s all over for me, man. I don’t want to go to any other uni. I only wanted that school.
I ended up getting a math mark that is not enough to get into the unis I want. Math isn’t my strong suit, so it’s ruined my life.
