Conveniently caught 1mph over the course threshold for 30mph, on a road that has a change in limit. Wasnt rushing, and wouldve been dropping from the 50 to 30, especially where i was driving doubt i'd have been travelling (NOT speeding!) that fast. When responding with the capitalised and in black (dead at sea colour), can we request actual evidence of where it is before any correspondence is necessary?
Road safety yeah right of course it is. Purely for profit end of! Whilst cops speed or sit in their marked cars with engines running playing with their phones! When your of the same establishment you got a get out of jail free card. They do not prosecute their own one rule for thee but don't apply to us. Lead by example!
Hi @markthomas8018, you can challenge a speeding fine but there will be a full legal proceeding, which could cost you more in time and money. More information can be found here: moneynerd.co.uk/speeding-fine-doing-40-in-30/
Hi i have a question today i was coming down a road that is 30 and the road has 3 hills and i was coming down the hill at 36 and i noticed a policeman standing on the other side of the road with a speed gun and it was definitely to late but i still applied breaks quickly untill i was at 30 but he did not flag for me to stop and as i drove further down the road there was a police car and they did not pull me over and later on i drove back on the same road this time on the side they was standing on and i see they pulled 2 cars over so do you have to get pulled over to get a ticket or will i get a NIP through the post ?
Hi Muhammed! No visible plates in the photo could mean you can appeal your case, but keep in mind that going to court can be a significant investment in time and money. You can find more details here: moneynerd.co.uk/mobile-speed-camera-photo-evidence/
Hi Thomas! Yes, you would get a Band B or C fine if you're going beyond 40mph in a 30mph zone, which equals a heavier fine and more points on your licence. This article can provide more in-depth information: moneynerd.co.uk/sp30-speeding-fine/
After doing a speed awareness course if you are going at 30mph you stop just in front of a wall, if you do 31mph you hit the wall at 8 mph, if the wall is a kid, it hurts the kid. If you do 70MPH you stop in time to not kill any wandering around people in the road, at 80mph you hit them at 39 mph and basically kill them, just some interesting figures for you
@@nickytanton107 Rubbish these laws RTA 1988 and statistics were around when the Flintstones were alive. Technology has advanced since then and its just about money!
Do the police tell you if you have a fine? Because the police stopped me took y licence and then said you was speeding but no ticket or dine was told so I dont know if I got it or not?
Got a speeding ticket recently and haven't had any for I think fifteen years when I got two within six months. I will do the same as I did with them which is ignore them and bin them. Had some threatening letters and on one of them I had a recorded delivery (court summons ?) through the door but as I was out so the postman left a ticket which I never collected from the post office and I never heard any more from them so will do the same again. Even if I do get nicked for this one ? I have got away with the other two so I am still on a winner.
They'll try and hit you with a S.172 notice fail to identify the driver. 6 points per offence yet its an administrative error how in the world can you be given 6 points!
strange as it seems , if you dont fill in any of their paper work or sign anything, or reply..it mucks up their system which isnt designed for that, being totally ignored , i suppose they could give you a court date but if you dont go...then what , how can they fine you , im thinking of doing the same as ive just got 2 tickets on same bit of road while rushing a mates cat to the vets ! i could go to court and argue it , but that means sending their paperwork back...
Update, The speeding ticket is now well over seven months old so it and the s172 are timed out and I haven't heard any more so that is three I have got away with now. I do think it depends on what constabulary you are dealing with as some are lazy and incompetent and some seem to pursue it. I won't say where I got mine from but would advise you to look on SJPN public court lists and work it out.

Any system that results in ongoing penalties is corrupt. The intent of policing seems to be to constantly issuing fines, not to educate and assist drivers to be informed on how to drive safely. This is all part of the police state introduced by Tony Bliar after the 1997 election. He implemented several pieces of legislation granting huge powers to the police. A big change to roads policing was the change from policing by consent to summary justice. This allows for increased fines if someone takes the matter to court, clearly an abuse of power. Often there are issues that should be heard in court instead of being down to the whim / opinion of an officer. Instead we need to return to the system of training drivers to properly read the road, to evaluate the risks. Even yesterday evening I was driving on an A road in the dark. Although the limit was 50 often I reduced my speed to account for the conditions. Yet the same limit of 50 applies in broad daylight, but edging over the limit would leave me at risk of prosecution / fines. Many of these roads used to be 60, yet the lack of proper training now means that people drive to the limit not to the conditions. So can we get the police state reversed, have decent policing restored, fair processes, proper training for drivers? Speed limits have been reduced on many roads, over the last few decades, often with multiple changes of speed limit. Then there is the urbanisation of busy roads, where routes have roundabouts installed to provide access to housing estates, where the developers and landbankers make many millions in profits. Housing, industrial estates, should be accessed off local roads, not off major routes, A roads, and even B roads. What used to be free flowing routes, have become congested. Additionally why should people, families, children have to use a busy road near their homes (even if well designed), the safety and pollution are one thing, but living next to a busy road is a health issue due to the noise. This applies even to bypasses around towns and villages, where the design was rightly to remove the traffic. Instead of these being respected and even developed as protected routes, they are degraded. Indeed instead of being properly maintained they are neglected until such time as a 'scheme is implemented, which usually restricts the use of the route. The priority seems to be to control, inconvenience, bureaucracy, inefficiency. lack of diect accountability. All paid for by fines, taxes. With the advent of new super councils, more police control, it is likely to get far worse.
What about using common law, Replying to the s172 that you state "I don't understand" their claim. You have met their requirements of replying you stated you don't recognise their claim and you said in legalise you "do not understand" their authority. Under common law you can request (noyt ask, or may I have) request a "trail by jury". As the law is structured under the berthing certificate (know as birth certificate) you accept the strawman identity (fictional id) your birth certificate claims that your a lost ship vessel at sea and the law can claim salvage over you putting you under maritime law, or Admiralty law which the Crown goes under in which the public believe that it is the law of the land when it is the law of the sea. Common law is the law of the Land. Most forces allow a small tolerance but that’s only their discretion. Speedometer accuracy maybe an issue in most vehicles
