The best advice I can give is not to follow any of this advice, as it is simply the ultimate guide in complying to get prosecuted by a speeding ticket. I've personally been down all the routes this woman describes, & all that happens is you get stitched up the minute you enter a court room. What really works from personal application is this: write a Notice of Conditional Acceptance requesting for clarification, that the road traffic offenders act 1988 applies to a living Man/Woman? i.e. not a person. Give them 72 hours to comply. Do not fill out any of their forms or paperwork, by providing your details including driving license number on a separate sheet of your own. It's all to do with contract law, & by completing their paperwork you have contracted with them & are then bound under the terms of their contract. Hope this will assist those who are looking for a real way out, by failing to comply with any of their legalese nonsense.
@@adogmcdizzle The first thing to bear in mind here is to stay away from any motoring 'lawyer' or 'solicitor'. I was caught speeding in the north of Scotland and I live in the south of England and have been summoned to appear in the county of the incident. It's way over two hundred miles to get there and also the same going home and was hoping to avoid a further five hundred mile journey (there and back) just to say, 'Hello!' to the court. Is that normal to have to report to the county where it happened? That would be ludicrous if I lived in Italy or wherever.
I'm not sure how it works if you were caught in say Scotland but live in say Brighton, but usually there's something called an SJPO, which means you can essentially "plead guilty by post". Saves you having to go to court, and saves the magistrate having to speak to you in person etc. A colleague of mine was dealt with this way when he was caught doing 105 on the M25 during early 2021 COVID lockdown. He pleaded guilty via post, received 5 points and a £550 fine.
Thank you for sharing this video, it's very informative, I've got a question for you, if the police pulls you over, and wrongly accuses you of speeding, if you've got a dashcam with GPS with a speed stamp, which displays the correct speed you're doing, what do you do? show them the footage, or when you get a ticket, can you contest it by sending the dashcam footage? Thanks.
Take it to court. Show the footage and include the GPS mapping if you can. When you then win the case (assuming you do), they are liable for your costs.
Portable GPS speed logging is an average unless it's a permanently fitted hard wired unit. It's not accurate enough to be considered as a way out of a speeding fine.
Car GPS units aren't average..... they literally measure your speed at the time. Absolutely not. Your interpretation of a sign doesn't alter the fact that you were going faster than you were allowed. I also probably wouldn't try to use that as a defence because they will probably have a go at for not knowing the highway code well enough.
Probably won't "get you off it" because they'll argue you should have known that was not a NSL road (some roads quite clearly aren't NSL roads). But it probably would be a mitigating factor and reduce the severity of any penalty you get.

It isn't a defence or excuse to just get the ticket, and go "I don't remember who was driving, and I can't be bothered to try to find out either" and use that as an excuse. I don't know how you guys get speeding tickets. I worked for a rail agency in York for a year, I commuted from Sheffield to York 5 days a week and on a weekend worked all over the country, Edinburgh to London. I did 40, 000 miles in a year. I still regularly drive to Scarborough (camera vans always on the A64) and all over the country. Continuous roadworks with camera enforced speed limits on the M1, a 30mph, yes 30 mph speed limit with average speed cameras on the M180 to Hull.......cameras everywhere I go and just can't seem to join your club!
Perhaps some people chance it, which is quite risky and costly when caught 😔The only certain way to avoid this possibility is to never drive faster than the speed limit and always be aware.

Hi can I ask basically I was stopped by a police officer a few days ago the time was around 2-3am in the night the speed limit on the road was 30mph I was speeding and a undercover came up behind me I did slow down quite a lot whilst he was coming and was driving normally after long story short I got pulled over up ahead in a side road and they said apparently there looking for a vehicle involved in a hit and run so not my car I complied with them checking my licence and everything they realised it wasn’t me the person. One of the officers just said the speed you were going you would get banned I want you to think about it. He said the police chopper got me that means not him. At the end he said we’re giving u a warning make sure don’t do it again. My question is as I got no ticket on the spot would I still get a ticket or not through the mail.
I was given a fine through the Post for 36 in a 30 and the camera was black , but it's not on my name, but on the car, that now I'm buying which will be registered on the same address
@@Nothing2cHere01 I got camera'd by a camera van doing 37 in a 30 - but it was an inner city road ( that seemed like a 40 ) plus, there was no signs entering that mile or so of road. There were only streetlights toward the end of that road. Apparently, the law says you do not need signage to indicate these speed zones. Very surprised about that. There was no signs. However, as a person like myself, who has spent 20 years outside the UK, the road systems seem rather different, having not driven in the country for that time. Also, in a town I have have been into. The thing is, these fines, for those in high powered sports cars, they do not care. if the idea is to reduce traffic accidents, then surely making signs abundantly clear and very large would be the best idea ? I'm amazed it is not the law to have signs to indicate speed limit zones.
As a UK officer myself - no, that's a verbal warning. If he wanted to prosecute you or "report" you for the offence he'd verbally tell you at the roadside "I am reporting you for the consideration to be prosecuted for the offence of speeding, dangerous driving, no insurance" etc. Or you could receive a NIP through the post but this is usually from speed or red light cameras. If you get stopped and they report you it's usually a verbal notification from the officer which fully complies with the legislation. In your case, you were given a verbal warning to slow down. Nothing more.
31mph in a 30mph speed limit is speeding end of, I know someone who was prosecuted in Scotland for doing just that. If you want to avoid a speeding penalty then don’t exceed the speed limit simple, it’s not rocket science.

Because it's a stitch up system to remove money from your pocket as swiftly as possible, that and the hugely corrupt legal system, basically your screwed 🤷🏻♂️
@@thrifty-family well DARN ME -I had to read all the comments to this point to find that out - at least I didn't waste 14mins on the vid though!
Perhaps some people chance it, which is quite risky and costly when caught 😔The only certain way to avoid this possibility is to never drive faster than the speed limit and always be aware.
tempting fate!
Mobile cameras must be identifiable as what they represent
Better walking now a days
Lol
The S sound in your voice is spectacular
I agree
What's with the nodding head and hand waving it's so annoying making it difficult to watch.
That's a you problem. People talk like that in real life..😂😂She's fine
10% over is non applicable it depends on the officer issuing the fine.
Hi. The wiggle room would depend on how a driver was caught speeding. This article can provide more information - thriftyfamily.co.uk/speeding-ticket-criminal-offence/
Learn to challenge the system - because its NOT Lawful.
I just got 89 in 60!
Im a dead man 😢
no victim no crime if u are from UK !!!!! learn your rights they can not do shite
What was the outcome? I've just had the same!
@@lauriefreeman 6 points and 200 pound fine 🎊
I was happy with that considering i was looking at a ban.
@@lauriefreeman Just tell them you need your licence for (make up anything cos they don't check)
And look sorry as hell and you should be ok. Good luck.
And don't bother with a solicitor.
@@lovelybitofbugle219 Thank you so much for flying back - fingers crossed I get the same outcome!
I got caught going 54 in a 55 so he gave me a gift certificate for a free dinner for two for being a good driver. Thank you officer!
Utter nonsense!
What a fear-based video
What makes you say that?
No it's a verbal warning only
I was given a fine through the Post for 36 in a 30 and the camera was black , but it's not on my name, but on the car, that now I'm buying which will be registered on the same address
did you recieved 3 points in your license?
Speed your way over here fellow TH-camrs?
I hope you'll find my videos helpful in knowing how to deal with a speeding ticket or avoiding getting one.
'The only exception to this rule, is if you are a MPs'
Given the strict speeding regulations in the UK, anyone who violates the law when it comes to driving can get a ticket.
@@thrifty-family but that doesn't mean the camera info will get acted on! I know that you're trying to help ppl but that's a naïve comment IMHO
It's a serious business when it's you're turn for the Going To Fast Tax isn't it.
31mph in a 30mph speed limit is speeding end of, I know someone who was prosecuted in Scotland for doing just that. If you want to avoid a speeding penalty then don’t exceed the speed limit simple, it’s not rocket science.
