What was the sound level in the cab?
I bought a brand new XT4 latte metallic last December while at the dealership I sat in the XT5 and it seem to have the same front driver and passenger seat room as the XT4. Love my XT4.

Very good review of the 2022 XT5. I have the 2017 XT5 and was hoping that Cadillac would focus on the 2nd row space. I carry passengers in my volunteer work and it is ok comfort for 2 people, but Extremely cramped for the middle person due to the middle console the protrudes out. Also, if I hang an organizer over the front passenger seat it lays in the lap of the backseat passenger. I would Gladly sacrifice some storage space for passenger comfort. Long trips are Not comfortable for backseat passengers. I Love the drive smoothness and the comfortable Front seat experience, but the purpose of an SUV is for passenger comfort. For that, I could have kept my Toyota Avalon sedan which had Very comfortable back row seating and a Huge trunk. My cadillac did not fit all the things I had in my Toyota Avalon which also had smooth ride and comfortable seating. We are currently looking at vehicles because I cant stand the need for wires dangling around my luxury veh and the carplay has to be plugged in to work???

Have had problems with rear main seal on our xt5. Unfortunately it hasn’t been very reliable

Why you got on a jacket
I need only 2 reasons why an XT5 is a better choice then a comparable RDX (for $5,000 less) or even a Hyundai Sante Fe/Kia Sorrento for $12,000 less.
I would take a Madza CX-9.
Overpriced in the states. Maybe GM is planning to discontinue XT5 in Spring Hill, TN assembly plant. XT5 with LSY 2.0 T engine made by SAIC-GM sells less than $40k in China.

Man, I pity the fool that pays $62k for this ‘luxury’ vehicle when you can get a Lexus NX 350 for $10-$14k less for better quality and tried and true durability. That aside, good review as always my guys!

Gm will NEVER be int he lux department like lexus, audi, and need i say even genesis , the parts bin from other gm vehicles is really evident here and the click click of the control no soft controls? when u go lux u dont cut corners at all gm is known for that

Agreed. I like Lincoln design language and interiors. Hopefully these Cadillac crossovers will get a more impressive interior like the Escalade.

But most folks prefer the XT5 over the Nautilus, and it’s obvious why. I prefer the Cadillac interior and their exterior design language. XT5 is certainly their less masculine styling but it still looks better than the Lincoln and drives better.
