The Cadillac XT5 combines bold Cadillac styling with the versatility of a compact crossover. Think of it as a baby Cadillac Escalade with smaller dimensions but the same distinctive look. In a crowded segment, that bold styling helps the XT5 stand out. Buyers who want an athletic look can choose the Sport trim, while the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims are more traditionally styled. The XT5 is shorter than the Lexus RX, but it's about the same size as the more luxurious Lincoln Nautilus or Genesis GV70, and it offers a surprising amount of features for its price. The Volvo XC60, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz are also rivals. The Cadillac XT5 has a high level of luxury, a comfortable cabin, and good features, making it a well-rounded option.

Virtually unchanged from the 2020 year but I think Cadillac has a lot of value when you consider what you get with a 6 cylinder engine and what German cars charge you for the same thing and you don't have German reliability issues

But not modern horsepower -- should have a V6 TT?

I have the 2020 and I will lease the 2023. Great car

The vehicle looks very good both on the inside and outside. The only car in this segment that looks as good as this one is the Genisis GV70. I also like the 4000-pound towing capacity when most vehicles in this segment only have 3500lb. The biggest issue I am seeing is the small 8" screen. This car still an option for me if the Bose sound system can compete with the rivals including Mazda's Bose, Genisis Lexicon and Lexus's audio systems.

Very nice review. It's a shame it only comes with a 8" screen. We are looking for a soft riding suv

My neighbor has one that I’ve been in frequently and driven extensively. Nothing about it feels substantially better than a Buick or Chevrolet. It’s not quieter, nor is the ride more refined and comfortable than an Equinox, as a comparison. The biggest gripe from him is the seats. They are excruciatingly firm. The virtually no give in the foam. Anyone that is sensitive to comfort will be advised to shop other models. Modern Cadillacs are a mere shadow of their previous glory. Sound insulation, plushness, ride comfort, have all been forgotten. As a middle-aged Black man, I grew up seeing Cadillacs being the definition of success for Black families. Now that I’m at the age where it would’ve been my turn for one, I’ve went elsewhere for the comfort and ride quality I desire.

GAS: Premium or Regular? My last two Cadillacs required Premium on both of those engines?

87 Octane for the V-6 and I think premium recommended for the 2.0T. That means fuel costs are more or less equal.
I just bought a certified 2020 Premium Luxury and I am impressed.

Paddle shifters seem like a cheap add on. Much of the competition calls for premium fuel. That can really add up.

I owned a 2019 XT5 for 6 months and got rid of this piece of crap for a 2020 Lincoln Naturalis. The Lincoln is built solid and is so luxurious compared to the XT5. Just one person's opinion!!

I agree the Nautilus has a MUCH nicer in interior -- but both cars lack horsepower -- the engines are sad in both.

An 8 inch instrument panel gives me migraine headaches.

Pretty nice car but the instrumentation and LED screens are behind everyone else in the class and the power of the two engines is so sad. A 2L T with only 235 hp -- seriously Dodge was making that in the 1990s? And why no Turbos and 400 bhp with the V6? Miss opportunity? I'm going with a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3L TT and 420 bhp.

My 2023 Acura RDX Advance is superior to the Cadillac XT5 in every way including the cost which is 15 thousand dollars less. Both made in the USA. Cheers

I initially looked at this car and decided to not get it and I decided to go over to Mercedes Benz and I bought their 53 coupe 2022 at a cost of $104,333. As you can imagine the horsepower is much greater in my car than in this one but I still like this car a little bit I think I've at least this for my mom it looks like a mom vehicle
