What the hell was that scene where Mister is dancing with everyone in the end? How did he earn forgiveness?

Perhaps there may be still hope for cinema with bonafide , knowledgeable film critics such as Armond White, who doesn't play to the abstract, disembodied, de humanised, nihilistic, cynical, superficial representations of the human condition in woke films currently, especially those that seek to tell the African American or African historical story. A lot of virtual signalling, political statements..it's so banal and painfully inauthentic. Oprah's vanity was what was on display here.

You guys sound too bitter at life. You all look so rugtag and dont seem to have done much with your lives. I can agree with some of the points you make. Spillberg is a perfectionist, of course everyone knows it couldn't be the same level. But who cares, this purity test bs is so toxic. Fun thing, art is subjective not objective. If most people like it, then you are the ones stuck in the past

You wouldn't jump in with personal attacks if there wasn't something truthful bothering you about their perspectives. If you felt genuinely confident enjoying what you enjoy then you wouldn't even need to be commenting here. But something tells you that our contemporary mainstream culture is crap and you do feel uneasy about enjoying it. So instead of lashing out at insightful cultural critics with meaningless personal attacks, just be honest with yourself.

@@COzmun1 I am just fuckin tired of people trying to pull others down in such a unproductive critical way. I wouldn't mind if they attacked the body of work itself, but they leveled personal attacks at Oprah and others involved. That's why I attacked them personally too, but it takes a lot too do these large scale productions, there are so many things to take care of, and ofcourse these black producers and writers haven't had the opportunities from big studios for them to learn with experience and horn their skills so that they can also produce perfect art to the level of Spielberg who has had these opportunities. They accused Oprah of hating men and smuggling her political opinions in her productions, guess what, thats literally what every movie producer has been doing since film. One would call ‘Schindler’s List’ a political zionist movie too by your Godly perfect Spielberg
