Jennifer Hudson did amazing! I learned so many things about the cast members. And the interview felt so authentic and had so much depth compared to other interviews. I was hooked the entire interview.

One thing I love is how these sister praise each other. Regardless if Tasia is in the spotlight or not, they are happy and present for each other. No jealousy, no envious, just loving one other. Sisters, we must hold each other up like this!!!

The 1985 version of The Color Purple is one of my all time favorite movies. I was not even 10 years old the first time I saw it. I can literally find it on tv and no matter what part the movie was on, I would sit and watch. There are so many beautiful moments of strength, love, and perseverance in this movie. I look forward to seeing the new movie and know I will love it just as much! God is all over this group of amazing performers/artists. I teared up several times watching this video.
After committing to going to see the movie, the day after Christmas, I wasn't sure if I should. This is because I realized that when I had saw this movie years ago, it was a melancholic movie. I am an instructional paraprofessional, at Cincinnati Public schools. I was truly enjoying my winter break and I didn't want to engage in anything that would change the joy that I was experiencing. I decided to go ahead and go to the theater, anyway. This movie is AMAZING!

I think the table adlib is also an important scene because it gave the viewer more intel on how other people besides mister viewed mrs ceily. Ceily didnt think much of herself and thought the only one that loved her was netty but in that scene we see ceily was powerful and touched others by being herself. We see then that she is somebody even without mister.
