I have lived in some South Eastern Asian countries and their major cities are so dirty and full of trash. I wish the government had this idea of cancelling all public holidays in a year and not celebrating them in the same way we do and rather use them as TREE PLANTING DAYS, and also like every first Saturday of every month, we can do afforestation in deforested areas and also go an extent of planting trees in places they've never been. It would really be a good campaign, imagine at the end of the year, how many trees will we have planted even if 75% is what would survive? We can have community conservationists, especially the youth who would ensure that the trees are being watered, shedded ana maintained till they attain a certain level of growth that it won't dry up. The government can also put measures in a manner that every upcoming residential areas which consists more than 15 houses should not have less than 5 trees, I think this would just be very awesome. The GREENERY will be unmatched, and the Forestry Service can give the required tree species to be planted.

I live in Australia now but was born in Nairobi. Left when I was 13 years old, that is in 1975. I have been viewing your videos and thank you so much. But, sadly I don’t recognise any place. I lived in convent drive Lavington, apparently our house is now a commission house for I think the Ugandan commissioner. I went to Mosongari school. My grandfather lived in hurlingham behind the shops. Nairobi has changed so much and so have many of the suburban names. Thank you for your videos. I view them often to see if I recognise anything.

Nairobi is so beautiful, descent planning, could do better, but compared to the total lack of planning of may African cities it’s just day and night. I’ve been comparing Kenyan cities to Nigérian cities, the contrast is pretty impressive, the chaos of most Nigeria cities is mind boggling and frustrating ; Abuja is the only notable exception.
In Kenya even small cities have some sort of planning, Mombassa, Kisumu, kitengela, Kiambu, Nakuru Eldoret etc...
The greenery is just awesome, very unique 👌👌👌 hope the city authorities never change it. Never allow real estate developers to build on the forest and parks around the city.

Am from kenya 🇰🇪 came to Nairobi in 2018 with my then 14 years old son and immediately we landed in Jomo Kenyatta international airport he was like ‘where are we’ I said this is home ... at that age he could understand better but he asked me why do I always see slums on U.K. tv and I said don’t worry u will experience kenya life and I will let u be the judge ... we came back to U.K. and he changed everything from his game console to kenya based name... The other day he said to me he will settle in kenya not U.K. ... just like that before I know it . I was crying 😭.... am so proud that he has a good foundation. He’s going to college then university... am working towards coming home soon for good and am happy because I know now he will join me . #proudafricanmum
