When he said 'I don't feel black anymore' it was so great to hear. You don't have to feel black in Kenya. You feel human. You are no longer that black man, but one of us. Karibu sana.
Brother thanks for speaking up for African-American, the 30% who can get on a plane, go to Africa, and feel right at home. Instead of complaining about everything that they don't have, and what Africans should do to improve themselves. This is a brother who loves is family, himself, and Africa. What else could you ask for,,, Kudos to you and your family sir.
Welcome home brotha. No more being profiled by the police, or by the Walmart security. Thank heavens that on these shores, you don't have to talk to your kids, especially your son about "the talk". You can walk safely anytime within your neighborhood without having to worry if a neighbor will call the cops on you just because you exist. This is your home just as much as it is ours. @@raandit471 My point is, why are you bringing that negativity and argumentative tone to a positive video? Are you that miserable in your own life that you can only focus in the negative of a situation? What does that, have to do with this? Most Americans don't own guns so wtf are you even talking about??? Kenya was just a war zone not too long ago and there are countries in Africa that have child soldiers toting guns as we speak so who tf are you to talk??
I can't imagine what's it's like to feel like you don't belong in the country in which you were born. I'm Kenyan and no matter where I go I know Kenya is home, even within Kenya it is a culture to go upcountry every holiday because that is what's considered home not the homes in cities. I'm increasingly realizing that I'm privileged to have that and if ever I have kids I would ensure they have the same, even if I move to the diaspora I would have my home upcountry and my kids must know all their cousins and speak the local language, From what I've seen it is a tragedy in waiting to uproot a person from his home and his people.
The US is not what you people think and this is coming from a Kenyan that's been here for more than 15 years, returning bacck home soon. If Kenyan wasn't home would definitely move to Ghana, Botswana or Ethiopia next door.
I can't imagine it either. Most Black Americans feel very at home in our own country that we played a significant role in building. We've been here for centuries - longer than most ethnicities and most of us would never consider making a permanent move to Kenya, which isn't even in West Africa - the place from which we were sold by West Africans. Our culture is rich and has had a huge influence on the rest of the world. We set the modern template for attaining civil rights. The battles we fought paved the road to make it easier for Blacks from other countries who have desperately want to become US citizens. Because we could not afford to engage in tribalism, we stuck together against a common enemy which is why at only 13% of the population, we have more voting power than minorities who outnumber us and are vastly more successful than any other Blacks on the planet. We're not all walking around feeling that we are lacking something. We are not all obsessed with viewing ourselves and measuring ourselves through a caucasian lens. This is as much our country as it is theirs. You see the ex-pat anxiety a lot in people who are attracted to the hateful anti-gay legislation of most African countries - that's the western "agenda" that bothers so many insecure and "suspect" ex-pats. You also see it in men who are seeking a patriarchal paradise. Of course, not all ex-pats are that way and I think it's great that they are living where they want to be.
I agree with you. It was a tragedy for us African Americans to be uprooted from our beloved home, Africa. If you are talking about repatriating, I am a teacher and children are very resilient. This move to Kenya and other developed countries in Africa could possibly be the best for our children! As parents we are afraid of our children going to school or playing outside. My children are grown and I still fear for their safety. It's everywhere in the US, even in the best schools and neighborhoods. The fear is taught to us early in life just so we can make it home from school, from work, from anywhere. My parents taught me and my grandparents taught them the fear of what it means to be black in America because our lives mean nothing to the white people. Here we are the hunted.
Living in a “diverse, colonial, racist “ country like USA does not benefit Black people at all. It ruins them…but benefits everyone else who isn’t Black. ❤

I was touched by this vid, especially the part where he mentioned after coming off the plain and the locals saying, "welcome home brother." l am Jamaican, but I live in Canada, and frankly there is a lot of racism in Canada, so I don't like it here, especially with the cold. I 've been to Kenya twice and I love it there, and the peoples as well. I am thinking of straggling between Kenya and Jamaica when I retire.
At 9:18 You're goddam right! I'm Kenyan guy and I looove the good old country music especially Kenny rogers, dolly parton and others 👍 I also listen to lots of old school Rhythm and Blues! I didn't know Kenya is like heaven to many foreigners wow! Shout out to Jasmine and Musa Mfalme 👋
As a Kenyan I'm so into these videos of AA coming back to Africa.. I think just like Ghana, Kenya needs to step it up get organized on how to receive and reintegrate those who wish to come back to invest and settle here. I don't mind being one of those people because it's always a good thing to give reliable, unbiased and structured information to ease the whole process.
That's the worst idea,Kenya doesn't need to advertise it self to expats or tourists like what ghana did,we just want them to tour spend those dollars here and return back to there country. infact if they leave here the cost of living will automatically rise up which will be a big disadvantage to the locals
@goetsomhlomhlo3690, The question that we would all like you to answer is: Why are "you" so triggered? He stated that, as a Kenyan, he is intrigued by the fact that African Americans are returning to the continent. Clearly, You are feeling very "small" to have even written such a juvenile and telling comment. Are you feeling insignificant? Do you need a hug?
Kenya is a lot better than Ghana. Everything in Ghana is so expensive for nothing. Why Do we Ghanaians Have to pay 3-5 years in advance before we can get a roof over our heads? Guess we're the only country in the world doing this shit. Education is paid in dollars and are crap. Infrastructure more bad than Kenya. Laws in every sector in Ghana is a joke. And Ghana started Year of return but our government still haven't made it easy for them to settle or establish businesses. And one thing I hate the most is our stupid Empty headed government charging Blacks In Diaspora more fee than Ghanaian citizens for visiting their own ancestors historical sites. THAT'S A BIG SHAME AND SHAM
Hey Jasmine, I am subscribing to your channel right away, right now! Your other videos that showcased a very beautiful ultra-modern part of Nairobi made me just fall in love with my country (even more), regain lost hope, and develop a stronger sense of patriotism, and then there is this growing LOVE and ADMIRATION for my fellow Africans (Wherever they are on earth). I wish I could let them all know they are welcome back to their "home" as President Ruto recently pointed out the fact that Kenya is indeed the cradle of mankind and thus people, especially Africans, should feel free to come back home!

Just subscribed. Great interview. Your guest made the right choice. I encourage him to get into the real estate business in Kenya. Everything you learn in the US in terms of task orientation can be enormously helpful in a people oriented society. In America we are taught more about tasks, (be on time, complete assignments on time etc) and less about people, whereas in Africa your relationships with people are by far more important than the task. Bridging those two paradigms is a good recipe for success. I wish you all all the best.
You're all welcome, we love you all. I smiled a lot throughout this video, it was definitely delightful to see Musa teaching Jasmine Swahili 🙂, you doing great brother, wishing you, your wife and children a wonderful stay with many great memories. Kenya is your home now too.

Hey, I love this guy already! This guy is the literal definition of "acculturation! In my study of expatriation in international business, most people failed to adapt to new countries/cultures because they were not mentally prepared to do so, they held onto their own cultures, wrongly believing/feeling that their cultures are better. This guy came with the right mindset, ready to adopt the new culture and everything it has to offer. His statement that they want to live like Kenyans has touched me a lot. Most foreigners we have here keep to themselves and walk around with the attitude of "us vs them". Not this guy. I have subscribed to your channel and his immediately. Welcome home! Karibu nyumbani! Hope to hook up with you sometime soonest!
Amazing to hear good stories from diaspora and how they're liking settling in the one problem we have in some countries in Africa is instabilities, some of us we migrated to Europe, America and Australia because our countries has and is experiencing wars, but I am happy that african-american are giving Africa a chance Africa has a lot to offer the only challenge we've to combat is instability!

Our government should do more to showcase Kenya out there as a place to relocate to, not just tourism. The amount of money that can come perpetually is a lot. A billion shillings toward this initiative will reap Kenya big in the long term

This is a very positive mindset. Believe me, he will have a great life in Kenya. I wish he could even move to a more village-like context, get land, plant crops and have a big compound for his family. I also love to see how most African Americans are now visiting Africa. Black Americans are gifted in sports, music, the food industry, etc. They should join and bring investment home.
We will! We didn't know that we were welcomed. We are so used to being treated badly that we can't even imagine that we are welcomed. And it is by design that we didn't know because we built the US and it's economy depends greatly on us spending every penny we earn to it.
We love you brother, makes me so angry to see how my people have to get through racial prejudice and live like second class citizens in the west.Welcome home whenever you are ready to move.

@@maida5939stop.spreading hate my brother this is why people don't like you guys just be nice
Great conversation and Kenya is really beautiful, Africa is home 😊
Make sure your children have kenyan citizenship let them bond with locals as much as possible and learn swahili to ground them to their roots
Mfalme is Swahili for king!
Karibu king and family.
Musa is a swahili name mean moses
At 9:18 You're goddam right! I'm Kenyan guy and I looove the good old country music especially Kenny rogers, dolly parton and others 👍 I also listen to lots of old school Rhythm and Blues! I didn't know Kenya is like heaven to many foreigners wow! Shout out to Jasmine and Musa Mfalme 👋
Ama looks like our beautiful Kenyan ladies! Welcome to Kenya, Sister. It seems Ghanians are Polite like Kenyans.
16:08 " am in heaven ". protect this man at all costs.
Black Power! THIS. I love it. The Freedom and Harmony
Agree 👍
What is so special about African American ?
That's the worst idea,Kenya doesn't need to advertise it self to expats or tourists like what ghana did,we just want them to tour spend those dollars here and return back to there country. infact if they leave here the cost of living will automatically rise up which will be a big disadvantage to the locals
@goetsomhlomhlo3690,
The question that we would all like you to answer is: Why are "you" so triggered?
I am Kenyan, and let me just say... what you are doing to our motherland, and Africa for that matter is really... just... quite.... inspiring.
I also subscribed to it instantly.
Respect for someone who gets out of his comfort zone and takes action. He didn't just think about it, but also did it.
Shout out to @Mfalme Musa for sharing your inspiring story and choosing Kenya as your home. Glad to here that's the best decision you made for you and youe family. Thanks @Jasmine Ama for giving Mfalme the platform and looking forward to the rest of your Kenyan series.
That's what's up. We need guys to move back and come settle open up shop create more job opportunities too. Handle your biz y'all are welcome. This jamaa is done well. More blessings to him and family.
Good interview...l didn't know it's a Ghanian lady doing the interview to an black American guy. I like what he said, this is the best city in the world.
I just went to Kenya and stayed for 6 wholesome days, and fell in love with the people. I love it! ♥️🇰🇪🥰
Pin this!
You're all welcome, we love you all. I smiled a lot throughout this video, it was definitely delightful to see Musa teaching Jasmine Swahili 🙂, you doing great brother, wishing you, your wife and children a wonderful stay with many great memories. Kenya is your home now too.
Their kids will forever be greatful for giving them a home they belong even if they go to any corner of the world. Its also good to see that BAs are visiting Africa more.
Welcome back home brother, Karibu Nyumbani
When I visited Africa, I knew it was heaven on Earth! Jasmine you are doing an amazing job! I hope you can travel to other countries! You give us awesome content!
Welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
It was awesome, hearing people from other countries talking so positively about my country 🇰🇪 Kenya. This is a beautiful country with nice people so welcoming no matter the stranger. Kenyans are so helpful and always willing to take a mile for a stranger. Jasmine this video had me subscribe to your channel.
Nas' ex wife relocated there too Kelis the singer! She's a Kenyan resident.
I've. Been waiting for your vedio😂..I love your content girl..Kenya is a big deal believe you me
So glad u enjoy them 🙏🏾❤️
Welcome to Kenya bro. Now you are one of us
You aren't crazy brother, what you did was brave and you family will be much happier there!
Our government should do more to showcase Kenya out there as a place to relocate to, not just tourism. The amount of money that can come perpetually is a lot. A billion shillings toward this initiative will reap Kenya big in the long term
Great video my sis! Love that brother’s mentality good energy and intelligence. Good work
12:23 so much knowledge from our brother 🙏
Great interview! Mfalme musa much love 🇰🇪❤️🫶🏿
Mfalme Musa has good vibes.
Thanks for your content. The continent is ours. We are brothers and sisters reconnecting. We thank the ancestors for such a wonderful reawakening of love for them ourselves and each other. Alkebulan ❤ We also are visiting from Ghana and are extremely impressed with Kenya. ASANTE!!! Meduase Paa!!
Mfalme Musa , Kenya is a great place. Hope you consider starting industries in Kenya and Africa at large.
What i love about my City Nairobi (Kanairo) is that we set a day each week to riot then the remain days we hustle hard at work. Love it here Kenya ni Home (Kenya is Home)
Magical Kenya 🇰🇪

Mmmh Welcome to kenya, surely Kenya is the best!
Welcome, karibu sana.We love visitors.
His attitude is beautiful.....karibu Kenya brother
Yeeees thank you guys Great video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Never been proud of brother the way I am proud of Musa
As a Kenyan iam happy to hear you talk so positively about our country it makes me proud of my country. ❤❤❤
Time for me to move back home...❤
Indeed 🙏🏾❤️
This is a very positive mindset. Believe me, he will have a great life in Kenya. I wish he could even move to a more village-like context, get land, plant crops and have a big compound for his family. I also love to see how most African Americans are now visiting Africa. Black Americans are gifted in sports, music, the food industry, etc. They should join and bring investment home.
We will! We didn't know that we were welcomed. We are so used to being treated badly that we can't even imagine that we are welcomed. And it is by design that we didn't know because we built the US and it's economy depends greatly on us spending every penny we earn to it.
@@frana.4086 You're very much welcome.
@@frana.4086, you can still have the best of both worlds 🙏🏿🙏🏿. No doubt, America and Africa are home.
We love you brother, makes me so angry to see how my people have to get through racial prejudice and live like second class citizens in the west.Welcome home whenever you are ready to move.
I love what this gentleman said. He is no better than the people of Africa and do not try live like an American. He also said his real job is to serve people. He certainly sounds lime he has the right attitude.
Amazing ❤. The moment we change our mindset we will be unstoppable. My people we are not victims and we shouldn’t wait for anybody to give us handouts or favors. It’s a mindset trap that has worked so well against us. Let’s go out there explore and work together. Peace ✌️
This man's name is deserved💥 Mfalme is King and so boldness is a virtue...great
