Lost mine too. Suffered for years with a sick gallbladder and they kept saying no its fine or it was my thyroid and then they said it was fine, only to have had a wonderful doctor who figured it out and found my gallbladder was literally dieing inside of me. Now trying to eat healthy without a gallbladder has been a challenge.

Well as your thyroid was not producing enough hormones, it affected your gallbladder, the entire body need a good functioning thyroid. What is interesting is why some people have their thyroid removed and doesn't seem to have other health issues, and some people have their gallbladder removed without have had ANY issues with their thyroid?? Then this connection Dr Berg is talking about doesn't make any sense. My dad had gallbladder removed few decades ago and never had any problems with the thyroid. @Soulerous ปีที่แล้ว

The number one way to combat autoimmune conditions is to do a full carnivore diet. Just beef steak, salt, eggs if you can eat them, butter, maybe some fish like sardines. This is an extreme elimination diet that also provides a ton of nutrients.
Do this until your issues resolve, then reintroduce foods slowly and pay attention to what might be adversely affecting your body.
Lectins, milk proteins, and egg proteins are common autoimmune triggers. To learn more about the carnivore diet, visit the youtube channels of Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Shawn Baker, and Dr. Anthony Chaffee.

What about people who have had their thyroid removed. I had my surgery in 2015 and haven't felt the same since--digestive issues and fatigue are my biggest problems. Well this is very interesting - when I was 30 I had gallbladder removed full of stones much pain! when I was 45 my thryroid went crazy - Hypo - affected my heart (AFIB) - after years of not getting AFIB under control - my thryroid was radiated and I take meds to provide thyroid hormones - I have been overweight since a teen and have struggled to get my weight under control - still trying at 63 - just switched to a low carb/keto style diet - focussed on veg and protein with no or few grains/sugar. It is interesting to see how the gall bladder and thyroid are so connected. Thanks for the info.

I was diagnosed with subclinincal hypothyroidism after having my gall badder removed. The surgery is something I regret , knowing what I know now. Not once during my gallbladder problem was my thyroid considered, despite a long family history of Hashimotos and symptoms I had been having for years related to thyroid dysfunction. Even now, there are few professionals that I have dealt with who seem to recognize the connections between all parts of the body and how dysfunction in one area can cause a cascade of problems in other parts of the body.

Deciding that this diet wasn’t working, I started eating grass fed beef and wild venison. My digestive issue disappeared and my body isn’t so cold any more. Plus my energy levels perked up. I came to the conclusion that low fat diets seriously interfered with my bile production and function. And then I encountered this video.

    what is not mentioned that:
    1. for normal tyroid function you need enough iodine - best use lugols solution about 25mg per day - this is 200x of RDA
    2. Iodine is basic building material for all hormones, not just t4 and t3
    3. T4=>T3 Conversion is only possible if the body has enough vitamin B, Magnesium and Selenium!
    4. Iodine is renewing all mucus and intestines walls
It is a closed circuit, but it starts with suplementation and food.
Search for iodine loading protocol! -it helps hypo and hyper tyroidism, in case person has hasimotos glutene is to be avoided and additional supplementation of Selenium is needed.
Also bad liver function could be the reason why Hydrogen peroxide is not neutralised and additional Homocisteine is present in the blood.
Excessive Hydrogen peroxide is causing damage in the tyroid tissue in case of hasimoto and causes the body to fight damaged tissue with the antibodies.

I do a total body workout including abs. It is very important structurally to have a strong core. I also use resistance bands and stretches.
My weight gain is still hard to come by. Last night at a party, I was embarrassed yet again. In front of everyone yet another person commented, "you look thin." I said "yes I am." He said...Ok, I just hope it is intentional (as if to say, you look SICK.) Does not make me feel good. Truth be told, I believe I am quite healthy. In Asia, I would fit right in. The issue is, we are not in Asia. Everyone at that table had a BMI of about 40-60 so their lens was a little altered. Still, I would like to gain that extra 10lbs. of muscle! BMI is now 21, up from 20. On the chart, 21 it is technically ideal (in the middle of the green band), but my clothes feel better around a BMI of 22-23 and I feel better- get less comments too.

I always had high cholesterol and for this reason I was avoiding fats. Later on they saw sludge in my gallbladder which surprised me. Then my hair and eyebrows! started falling out like crazy. Nothing was helping. And half a year later I developed bile reflux, feeling of a lump in my throat, like something was stuck there, couldn’t eat, food phobia, couldn’t digest meat and fats at all. Bloating, burping. I was diagnosed with GERD and sluggish gallbladder, LES and sphincter of Oddie malfunction. My thyroid antibodies and thyroid hormones were high. I was told I’m having a beginner stage of hypothyroidism and was put on Levothyroxine. I also added Betaine hcl and digestive enzymes. Still can’t eat things like Mayo, nuts, creamy stuff, fat meats. But overall feeling 99% better. My hair and nails finally growing back

High stress may have contributed to some of that. Possibly, some of Dr Berg’s on stress relief may help avoid such situations in the future ❤

Thank you Dr berg. I’ve been following you for almost a year and have lost over 45 pounds and maintained it for 6 months. It seems I always pick little nuggets of information in each video. Today I looks like fat needs bile and bile needs fat. I know when I get a little too heavy on the dietary fat my stomach lets me know I’m thinking not enough bile for the amount of fat I consumed. I also didn’t realize you get more bile from a animal protein. I’ve heard as you get older, I’m over 55 that you need to consume more protein? Can you clarify please.

Be careful with that weight loss Jeff. I did almost exactly the same as you and lost my gallbladder- learned it was very common. I lost 45 in a year- running and eating leaner. I probably could have eaten more fat. I tried going vegan. I liked the idea of it ethically, but it nearly killed me. Now I eat meat and some veg. and I feel very good.

@@MOAB-UT I eat a lot of veg, healthy fats and some fatty meats. Lots of leafy greens and veggies.

@@jeffthomas6105 That is what I thought. Leaf's are not always so healthy- many contain bad things that could be part of your problem. I would try an elimination diet if I were you- slowly, never all at once. Kale for ex. is an anti-nutrient and can block absorption of good vitamins. Spinach is very high in Oxalates (kidney. stones.) Read The Plant Paradox sometime. Never Almonds or Soy or Whole Grains I hope. All bad. I would focus more on Healthy fats e.g., GRASS FED meats and WILD CAUGHT (only) SALMON and see how you feel after a month.
