This is great! If I have a template, but still want to personalize it a little, can it be edited in each case? Having most of the info that I want to send "canned" would be an enormous help, but I would still like to individualize the "canned" letter a bit. Possible?
I doubt I would ever use this, but it's nice to know it's available. If there's any way to have this apply to my phone, let me know!

Sorry, but as of right now, Gmail just adds the latest one to the top of the list.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that this carries over to mobile. However, there are other tools such as CloudHQ which will allow you to do this. See the following article: blog.cloudhq.net/mobile-gmail-templates/

The drawback to templates is that as you add more and more they become unruly and there's not a good way to organize them. I've started using ClipClip which is the same idea only it's much easier to organize your templates.
