Thank you so much for this review. I have a car that I recently installed an exhaust on, but the quiet mode is not quiet enough, and gives me a headache with the drone. The loud mode is fine that's what valves are for. Your review is spot on in tipping me in favor of getting these, its exactly the result I'm looking for.
Resonator and J pipe would be a better fix. I feel like this just muffled the drone, not really ridding the drone situation. Definitely cheaper temporarily fix. Currently working on a full 4 inch exhaust for a n55 and the drone was so bad my rear-view mirror rattled off the windshield. Added a resonator with a 2.5 inch J pipe and it absolutely destroyed the drone frequency but still keeping the loudness of the exhaust. Doesn't sound like a total fart cannon at 1600-2200 rpm. I'd definitely recommend researching it.
Do you have a link to the resonator and j pipe you added? I just bought my f87 with an mp exhaust and catless downpipe and the drone at 3k is unbearable.
A BMW with blinkers? I Own a Golf 6 GTI DSG with catless downpipe and stock rear muffler and the drone is fine, but i have a friend of mine that has a Renault Clio RS with the same setup i do with catless downpipe and stock muffler and the drone is so fuckin horrendous

If you want to get rid of the drone without reducing sound just get j pipes. All newer BMW have that crazy cold start
I got bootmod3 and was able to change the cold start “roar” so now it starts quietly :)

Yes! Didn't watch til the end? Got way quieter when cruising on the free way.
On motorcycles we call them "baffles" and first thing we do on a new bike is pull em out.
