Thank you so much for asking! I totally forgot to add this to the description. Here's what I just added: Here's where to get the cable: technicpnp.com Select your BMW model from the left drop down menu and then select your stereo system on the right. I noticed that (at least for the 2-series (F2x/F87)) no matter what stereo system option you choose, it's the exact same ASD cable. Hope that helps!
@@collectingms3803 OK, mine is a 2018 M2. Which of the two series 2 codes is it. I bought the car 6/1 this year w/6577 mikes on the clock. Did a 1800+ mi. run to PA in July. The noise at 85-90 MPH drove me nuts! (Loved the mountain back roads!) My old Saturn Ion Redline was much more livable but still a fairly hot car for it's year. I'm 79, so not interested in keeping the neighbors irritated. I just want to enjoy the ride. Did the exhaust sound thing 60 years ago. Nothing sounds like a V-8 w. steel packs.
@@clintgustafson613 It would be the 2-series (F2x/F87) option. Wow, that's basically brand new, good catch right there! Driving on mountain roads with my M2 is definitely a dream - will also ship it to the autobahn one day. I'm sure it sounded beyond great.. Not sure what the neighbours would've said though haha
@@collectingms3803 Thanks. I started out trying to order an M240i, but no luck. Browsed the net for used and found out about the M2. Located this one at a dealer in a nearby suburb. We need more sound videos from POV with windows open and from outside too (like your Downpipe install video). Your m2 is one of the best sounding m2's on youtube!
Thank you a ton for sticking around and watching my videos since the beginning! I would be happy to make a sound clips video with both my M2 and Darryl's M2 CS. Anything else specific you'd like to see/hear?
Awesome video man! I should’ve done this when I went stage two since my family hates how loud the cabin is compared to stock. For my dad at least, he’s fed up with the drones and stuff. Loves the car but hates the noise. Me personally, I love it man as the n55 is music to my ears. Too bad can’t experience it whenever my dad is my co-pilot while driving haha
Thank you once again brotha! Honestly man, I like a loud car as well, but for the few days I've had ASD off, I'm enjoying it more. If you'd like to see how the car sounds without ASD, I think you could unplug the grey connector I did in the video and leave it to the side. I haven't done this, but I'm pretty sure it's safe (pls do your research), but your whole sound system will be off until it's plugged back in
@@collectingms3803 pleasures all mine man. Well, this might happened this might not happened. My dad might be getting his highlander this Saturday and offered to appraise my car as a trade in. @@umarshakeel7096 Have you thought about an RS3? Similar idea to our M2s and lots of people seem to like them. How's your dad liking his brand new highlander?
@@collectingms3803 I’ve got a couple of friends who’ve owned the RS3. Awesome car but not as fun as the M2. I’ll send you some pics in the dms tomorrow
@@umarshakeel7096 Yeah I'm not surprised about that. The M2 is (IMO) the better car overall, but like you said RS3 has more tuning potential. I'm excited man!
Yep, my exhaust sounds the same from the outside! BM3 would be coding ASD out, so it's possible they turn off burbles too. With the way I did it, everything will stay the same besides the active sound being turned off
Did you had the asd coded out before via bimmercode ? I've done that and wondering if it's worth for me to still do this . Also which cable did you buy ? I believe we need the Hk one ? I also have a OG M2 as well
Great question. No I didn't. The car was completely stock ASD wise before this. I'm pretty sure the bimmercode coding solution gets rid of ASD completely, just like the cable does. So I'd say it's either or, but if you'd like to get the cable all the stereo options lead you to the same product. How're you liking your M2?
Hi bro I have a BMW 535 2011. I have removed the rear exhaust exits. I have pictures of an annoying drone inside the car. What is the appropriate piece to hide the sound of the drone? Can you help me Thnx
I use bimmercode app to lower the volume of ASD and completely got rid of the drone, I still prefer it on, it adds a bit of sportiness, and with the volume lowered, it can't be heard unless I floor it, so normal cruise its off, sport driving it's on.
Where do you get the adapter cable to kill the fake sound?

Should work on all modern BMWs, but best to ask the company making them
