Hello, Patrick here from Mind Life Flow :). This is useful video content for so many people - clients often tell me that making their first appointment was very difficult and they had many worries about it. So thanks
I have seen therapists on and off for many years. It has often been nice to talk to someone but I don't see what it's supposed to achieve.
I see little evidence that anyone gets anything from therapy.
I don't wanna sound rude but maybe because you see therapists on and off, there are people who would literally spend months if not years going to therapy... and those people got the help they wanted
@@meme_me In almost each instance it was for several months, on a couple of occasions more than a year. It's never done much of anything for me, even though more than once I began by specifically asking what I could do to make it effective. It just doesn't work for me.
@@gmansard641 maybe find a doctor that suits you ? and therapists are supposed to help you navigate and solve problems you might have and diagnose you if you have any mental health problem and guide you through it (are you sure this is what you need ?)
I had the plan to show to counseling session high because I don't want there help
I wanna ask my mom for a new therapist cuz she took me out after 2 shes but I'm kinda glad cuz she didn't help at all Lmao
I like mine .
My therapist call me lazy, and they also misgender me on purpose
I’m sorry I hope you got or get a new one
No I'm so sorry u had to deal with that that's actually not okay
Den stop going to therapy😂
what a load of lies !
1. no the therapist isn't a good person, it's his job and the way he earns money to put food on the table, it takes a lot of hard work to become one, and by the time you get there you really are disillusioned about being a good person, therapists are NOT helping you, they're just doing that they were taught like any other profession
2. therapists are people like everyone else, they ARE judging you, they're just professionally obligated not to tell you that what they think
3. sure they do keep your secrets, again, professionally obligated to since HIPPA
4. you are NOT in charge of anything, the therapist is giving you the freedom to speak to build rapport so you give them enough information to build their diagnosis on, once the psychoanalysis phase of the therapy is done you're just there to have meaningless lectures about how you're wrong and he's right being fed truisms and platitudes
therapy only works because emotionally vulnerable people are gullible and like having a shoulder to cry on, therapists don't remember your name the moment you walk out the door
Lots of them choose the job because they want to help, just saying.
@@Idk-eu1yi this person sounds so delusional tbh
You forgot to add that they can send you to a mental institute against your will and talk to other therapists about you if they deem it necessary
I've had therapist that gave of a negative vibe like this so I understood your frustration.
