    I've never had alfajores before, but they look delicious! The addition of the citrus sounds amazing and I love that dulce de leche center! :)

    I've seen they also put lemon Zest. Now I'm stuck in between trying orange or lemon. They look so delicious trying this recipe tonight.

    The first time I ever tried these was in a small town in El Salvador & wow they melted in my mouth they were literally the best cookies I've ever tried so now I try to perfect the recipe

    do we need to add the orange zest and extract can it be left out?

      wilmarie class yes you can absolutely leave it out. You won't have the citrus flavor but they will still be delicious.

      David Salazar some brands sell butter as 1/2 cup per stick

    Question:
    In this video you said to use One and Three Quarter (1 ¾) cups all purpose flour . But on your website it says to use (1 ⅔) cups all purpose flour. So which one is it?
    Can't wait to try this recipe!!

    I tried making it with cornstarch and it tasted so bad. Cornstarch has a really bad after taste. I don’t understand why.. maybe I’m using a different kind of cornstarch?

    Umm I did this it came out okay but I guess mine didn't cook well so it tasted Wierd

      yup Mexican here and I’ve had some from Mexico and El Salvador they were both delicious and tbh tasted the same
