This was super helpful. I upgraded to the Titan extruder and was having all kinds of issues. Followed your steps, jacked mine up to 390 and now it's printing perfectly. Thanks a bunch man.

I just did this with my Machine. I went to 100mm instead of 50mm per some other things I have read online and I only extruded 94.1mm! So, I just adjusted per your instructions and I am so excited for my first print!
Been watching you for a few weeks now Nexi, glad to have a reliable resource as I am new to the 3D Printer scene!
    Thanks!

thanks for the excellent explanation and hands on tutorial. it's People like yourself that are making 3d printing less of a black art and more fun for everyone. without information like this being produced I'm sure that a lot of printers would be gathering dust. well done.

    Nice video!!
I've done to mine the same thing,it had the steps set to 90%.changed to 95% straight from printer's configuration and there is a big difference indeed!!!@100% it extruded 105mm.
I'm very curios about the E3DV6...I've found a few on amazon.co.uk and i'm not shure what to do due to original/chinese debate. On the other side I saw that you bought one from AliExpress so I just ordered the one that you posted!
Thank you very much for video!

My friend all of that software has a name, "and this window and you end up with the other window" doesn't tell you what it is," here and here" doesn't say where in the line of the Arduino program the corrections must be made you are the only one addressing the issue at hand but you are not being specific about the subject and the close up don't help the situation, but thanks for you are one of the few at trying and getting best results.

    Hello my friend.
I wanted your help I'm starting in 3d printers and it makes me a lot of confusion about Firmware because for me this is all new.
I have seen that there is a Skynet V2.3.2 but it seems that there are a lot of people that after updating they had problems in the screen of Anet A8.
And if this happens to me, I do not know what to do, because what I know about printers is still very little for me.
In your video has installed the Skaynet v1.1-Alfa do you think this is reliable for those starting and after knowing more about printers and Firmware update for a recent mair ??
I'm sorry for the long comverse but I really liked your video and it seems to be the ideal person to guide me in this new adventure :)

You should disable the hotend when not using it. it may cause a clogged nozzle when heating up for so long and not extruding. Send an M302 gcode to allow for cold extrudes :)

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Jannes Vandepitte Thanks for tips mate! :) But for this short period of time it's not a problem. I even tried how long hot end can stay on 200C without printing to get clogged :D I had to test it :) Thanks again for code I should put in video description full list of codes from Wiki.

when using aluminium plate, go try again mounting autyolevel sensor, it will take a little time to set its position and autoleveling boundaries, then z offset as you will probably use non standard carriage, but its really worth it, just try mesh autoleveling not linear, as aluminium bed is not flat in the middle. I did try three of them capacity, metal detectror and that chineese blue metal detector usually sold with anet, that third one is most precise. just after moiunting, play a little with G30 and you will see that it is worth it. you will forgot about screws in bed, its is also very good option when you use vertex or buiold talk or coropad(this one is best in my opinion and the cheapest). also it is really time fo octoprint upgrade, managing printer by phone, tablet or monitoring it even outside of home is greate feature, you will also forgot about usb card as you will be able to copy things over wifi.. and you will be able to do timelapses :)

    • @liberten78
      @liberten78 7 ปีที่แล้ว

and btw. when doing extrusion caliubration you should really extrude, not only use it for pusing filament to the end of the tube as it is always pushed more than without real extrusion. just measure it in pleace before the extruder.. and it is common to measue 100 steps as it is easier to calculate and more accurate... also speed of the extrusion is importan during measurments, try 80 for 1,70 filament

Hey Ole, you might search around on the net for sites that will let you download youtube videos, basically you just have to provide them with the link to the video and if the site extracting the video is in a different country then it may be able to bypass country copyright grounds message. Not trying to promote copyright infringement but no one gets banned from an elevator if a copy written song is playing in the background lol.

    Hi Nexi,
I've been printing stuff on my Anet A8 since I got it this month, and so far the quality is excellent. I used some of your helpful videos to get it up and running.

I have an advanced question about bridging. I have become obsessed with getting it "perfect".. it is alright, but not quite perfect yet.
    imgur.com/a/Ii0qy
My bridges are very good, but still have a fraction of a mm of droop. I can print 5 of these in a row, and they all come out the same.
I watched it printing and saw what was happening. When it makes the initial pass between the towers, it isn't extruding enough, so there's about 1cm of really flimsy thin filament, then a small gob, then a smooth straight stretch reaching the other tower. Then it does the same on the other side without any thin portion... on the next pass across, the fan blows hard enough that the thin portion can't hold, and the strand across droops slightly. It's very minimal, but when I was watching it, I saw no droop at all on the initial pass. That makes me wonder if the solution to perfect bridging might be three things?
    1) Pause before initial bridge to allow some filament to build up in the extruder?
    2) Perhaps building a tiny ledge to grab onto before crossing the gap?
    3) Cut fan speed slightly to prevent it from snapping the filament?
Do you have any thoughts? You're clearly knowledgeable on this stuff, so if you have any input/ideas, I'd appreciate it.
I'm not averse to getting my hands dirty with coding, so if I need to rewrite something to get it perfect, I'm totally up for it - but I'd like a second opinion with more experience before spending the time on something like that.

dont cut your filament after you extrude 50mm, just retract it so you dont waste fillament.

MyRedStallion Well it's easier to cut it on video Instead changing camera angle :)

Have you thought about a direct drive system for flexible filaments such as this setup www.thingiverse.com/thing:1798616/#comments

Hm... Looks interesting BUT am not going back to direct drive and that heavy setup. Bowden extruder setup can print Flexible filaments as well with little of settings. I order already some flex filaments and ABS so am going to test it up. It should not be a problem.

+Nexi ok thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure if your setup would still push filaments like Ninjaflex through but I'm looking forward to seeing how you go. Thanks for the great videos. They have helped me a lot.
