    The Ninja recipe is probably good for someone who has never made ribs before. But, once you learn some techniques through trial and error, and watching videos like this, you find your own way. Having done ribs before, I know moisture is key during cooking. This video had good tips for me, especially for wrapping to finish. Butter. It makes so much sense!

    A nice hack I've been doing is unplugging my smoker when it stops smoking which is usually about 30-45 mins then I plug it back in with a fresh batch of pellets. It will ignite the pellets and give you wayyyy better smoke flavor

    I hope to catch a great deal on the Woodfire this coming Black Friday. I have a question. Do you add more pellets throught the cooking process? My family loves a great smoky flavor and critize all the BBQ local restaurants for lack of smoky flavor. How was your smoke flavor? A pronounced smoky flavor or barely a smoky flavor?

    • @CookingWithCJ
      @CookingWithCJ  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The smoke flavor is there, with just one cup full. It’s a condensed space, so the smoke is heavy duty.

  • @lorenzor4787
    @lorenzor4787 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video, definitely going to try these! Have you added pellets after one hour and reignited those? Or just let the smoker function going even after the first batch of pellets finished burning( usually it takes around 45 mins/1hr for my pellets before needing to add more). Thanks in advance!

    Looks like you left your ribs on the smoke setting after the wrap. I thought you usually use the bake, not smoke setting…

    This was an unfair comparison. Ninja's recipe is designed for a complete novice to get decent (not fantastic) smoked ribs. Yours should have been only dry rub, and foil for a truer comparison. Any time you are adding moisture, you will get a better rib. A great comparison, anyway. I'm sure everyone knew which ribs were going to win, just from the extra love yours got.
