    Hey there, CJ. Really love the videos. I got a Woodfire for my birthday back in April. I was skeptical at first, but have since done quite a few cooks, and following your recipes/guide...they have all turned out really well! I have had a Weber for years and it has always yielded good results for ribs, brisket, pork butt, etc., but to get damn near the same results in a fraction of the time and no worries about temp control! Wow....I am definitely a convert. Keep up the great work. Going to grab that ecookbook now!🙂

      @@CookingWithCJ still no smoke ring. But it was delicious. I used plum pellets and could definitely taste the smoke more. The brisket stalled at 204. I should have pulled it about 10 minutes sooner than I did. I was using the attached probe. It was still moist and tender. But the top got just a tad to dry.

    So I grew cooking with my Pops on the Weber, and that's a ton of memories for me. Can't have that open flame on my porch here in NYC now, that's why I have the griddle. The Ninja would be perfect for me (I know I've said it before). But, these both look great! Outside of the lack of smoke ring, did you still get the smoke flavor you wanted on the Ninja?
    As far as a comparison, how about some spatchcock bbq chicken? But, I still want to see some smoked tequila margaritas on the Ninja!

    Suggestion for a comparison CJ. I'd like to know if there's much of a difference in smoking a brisket in the Woodfire at different temps (225, 250, 275 maybe) and with different numbers of smokes (say one two and three). Have you made a comparison of the Woodfire with a side burner?

    • @DoritosResidue
      @DoritosResidue ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have to agree. With that fan its super heating the food.But it results with the outside cooking to fast while the inside is not getting chance to keep up. Meaning those fats on meats are not getting a chance to breakdown correctly. I dont have the ninja smoker grill (yet) but i have an Ninja air fryer. I noticed that issue with the outside overcooking and the inside not getting to temp.

    I know you were looking to compare temp vs temp. Looking at this it appears when cooking on a wood fire cook temp is more concentrated so what happens if adjustments to lower temp at 250 to 225 add a third cup of smoke. It would extend time but you probably get a very similar product. thoughts? like video thank you

    Great video, very informative. Wondering your opinion on this. In my mid fifties, and never had a backyard grill of any type, because I just recently got a house for the first time. Should I bypass the "charcoal grill" experience, and just go straight for a Woodfire ?
    I have no need to check off some life bucket list, of 'cooking with a charcoal grill', and just simply want to cook london broils, rib eyes, chuck steak, etc.. with more taste potential, than my ninja indoor air fryer does it. Don't need to feed my ego with skills, just want taste, with convenience.
