@@jeffdixon5430 Thanks guys. I just got done mowing my acre of yard this morning. I live a couple of miles from a small town of 7500. Just thankful I can still do the things I need to do, and I will keep on keeping on until I can't. The Lord said, occupy until I come. That is what we do. I owe a lot to my wife who has supported me in everything I have done. When I was 14, back in 1955, I had an old 1942 Harley "45" flat head. When Dewayne said " I still feel alive" my eyes opened up wide and I felt this lump in my throat.. those 4 little words are so powerful.... thank you very much.
I am currently 19 years old. I have a decent job, I work with good people, and all things considered I should enjoy it, but I don't. I do not enjoy what I do and have felt for a long time that I'm not where I'm supposed to be. Ever since starting this job my mental and physical health have declined to the lowest point they've been in a long time. The whole time that I've been feeling this stress, depression, and anxiety, I've felt guilty. Most of the people I've confided in about my uncertainty, have told me that I should be grateful for the position I'm in, and this just increases the guilt. Watching this video made me realize that no position in life is worth sacrificing yourself. I think it may just be time for me to find another horse to ride. Thank you Dewayne. God bless you.

Hello Dewayne, I live in the bitterroot valley of Montana and I’ve been following you since you were over in the Palouse. You and I are kindred spirits I think. I’m also originally from Kentucky and in a few days I’ll be turning 67. I’m not much of an internet guy so I’ve been nervous about posting comments. After listening to you in this video I just wanted to introduce myself and let others know that you are 100% spot on. After being away from the cowboy world for quite awhile I was ready to get back to this life, and it’s exactly what you say. I purchased 3 horses in an online auction over in Oregon 2 1/2 years ago. Everyone I know thought I was crazy but it has been extremely rewarding. It’s taken a lot to get past accepting that I’m not 25 anymore,And yes I have fallen off and I sure don’t bounce like I used to, but it’s all been worth it. Thanks for everything y’all are doing, you’re making a difference for folks.
Wow -- super impactful. I am young but for several years the wind has been absent from my sails. I have no excitement for my future except when Jesus returns, perhaps very soon. I was sharing a prayer request earlier this week that I feel like I've "missed my calling" "missed the boat I was supposed to take to different harbors" and in response to my prayer request the advice given to me was: there's still life in you so obviously you haven't missed your calling. God still has a plan for you, and that was really comforting to me. Made me feel like less of a failure. ❤ Made me feel like God hadn't given up on me or wasn't up there rolling His eyes feeling like He has to just "deal with me." Instead, He loves me. He has a perfect plan for me. He works all things out for good. ❤
People have been waiting for Jesus to return since he paid for our sins. Just focus on making yourself the best version of yourself. That's all the lord wants for all of.
I wouldn’t advise putting your life on hold because you think Jesus is coming. There is a very long history of humans that did nothing but rant and rave in town squares about how the rapture was coming that died without ever seeing it. Whether the rapture comes is God’s business and God’s business alone, it does you no good sitting around making plans for it & creating stagnancy in your life.
@@avril99887766 @avril99887766 Agreed. I am saying there is nothing for me to look forward to naturally. As he gives an example, he got himself a new horse to enjoy instead of reminiscing on the years gone by, and I haven't really done that yet. But I don't have much hope in retirement in this world, lol, unless the world repents. Mind you I am not on some mountain waiting for Jesus to return, because not even Jesus knows the time. But I am watching, which is a good and instructed thing to do with the wisdom that He may not come while I am alive. He also instructs us to "redeem the times for the days are evil." So we are to be useful to God, and working in His good work when He returns, not looking at the clouds having sold our possessions. I just need another "horse" to look forward to. Something earthly to enjoy, the natural fruits of reward, of hope, of future. And this man has found it in a simple thing as owning a new horse, and I think that's a wonderful example and hope. ❤️ Thank you for your comment; lots of great conversations here. ❤️
Dewayne not sure how but you always seem to reach into my soul. Both my wife and I “fell off our horses” a few years ago. She was let go from a job after 20 years for refusing the jab. I had medical issues and had to retire early. We are both trying to find our way still raising two daughters who are still in school. We both need to get a new horse. Thanks
Dropping an obligatory "God bless you", Dewayne. You've been helping me get through some tough times with your videos. Heavily appreciative of you and your advice and philosophy.
ever since i was a kid in the 60's i wanted a horse so bad i would sneak with a friend to a local stable against my dad's rule. i always read books about them and just dreamed i would own one. life does get in the way and after raising 3 kids , my husband and i bought 2 acres with the idea to build a house and finally get my horse. my husband got hurt and became disabled. i knew we couldn't afford the dream so i just prayed and asked God to have horses for me in heaven . i bought those 2 acres in my 50's thinking it wasn't too late. now i am 69. no regrets b/c i still have my best friend, my husband ,and we go camping with our 4 boston terriers . God bless love your wisdom and philosophy on life.
My Grandpa would say be careful of the doors you open ? Sometimes you can't close them ! I say build a New Door! Congratulations Dewayne i enjoy all you do! Yahoo
I’m listening to your message and asking myself the same questions; “what now”? I’ve had a good life, some might say a not-so-ordinary life. I’ve been successful in virtually everything I’ve attempted. College, US Air Force pilot training, flew in Vietnam for 2 tours of duty, started and built up a successful business that allows my wife and I to have all we want and need. But along the way, I lost two boys, one at 19 and one at 40. One remaining son and four granddaughters. They are the roses among the thorns of life. I’m not ready for the rocking chair yet, as Gus told Woodrow. I’m looking for new challenges, and hope to find one or more soon. I’m involved with my church, which means a lot to my wife and I. And don’t worry about where you might be at 77, the Good Lord will take care of you Dwayne. He has plans for you and me. I trust Him completely at age 80. He has saved my life on more than one occasion when the lead was flying. All the best to you and your new horse.
You sir have lived a life, amid the gallantry of thorns that is losing a loved one. And came out the other hand, with rose petals and words of encouragement. We need more men, and I hope that church does succeed. Not arrogant dominant machismo's, but gentle sweet, and battle ready if needed. I hope that was worth your time. Lord have mercy.
Been there when the forever horse doesn’t work out- it’s an adjustment for sure. Went to Az bought a 3 yr old and proceeded to get to know him and learn a bunch of new skills. At the age of 70. Never give up- get another horse to ride🐴.
Tyler, TX here. An illness has made it so I've got more years behind me than ahead of me, Dwayne. I'm no horseman, but I love this story. As well as your love of a good cigar. Great message, Sir. Thank-you.
I had to do that with a career. I lost a job that I had come to really enjoy and it paid really well. It went away unexpectedly. I went broke in the process and learned to rely on God. His provision came from places I didn't expect. In the end I found another horse to ride. It's a good job and it fits me pretty well. In the process I got closer to God, to my family, and found a church family too. My wife found her own horse (career) that she loves along the way too. Our future isn't going to be hardship free but it's looking better every day.
Mr. You aren’t BSn. Life can and does kick us in the belly at times. I’m 55. Just turned 55 at the beginning of this month. I’ve found in life that we get beat down several times, and I’ve seen people who just gave up, and others who “get another horse”. 🐎 Myself personally, I’ll never give up on myself or my family. I’ve had to start over 4 times in life. Completely. And at the age I’m at now, I think I’ve done pretty well for myself and my family. I find myself reminding my kids to never give up on themselves. They are getting into their 30s and are starting to experience life’s real ups and downs, but I’m there for them. Hey, anyways, I hope you made it back home safe and sound and with those 2 horses. God Bless ya and keep on ridin bud.
Sir, I will believe until the day that I die that God put this message on your heart to share for me. I needed this more than you will ever know, and I appreciate you sharing this wisdom.
I bought a horse over the internet and had him delivered from South Dakota to Central Oregon and I’m happy as a clam. And I will be 68 this July. 🤷🏼♀️ Love your videos and good luck with those two handsome boys!
Thank you, sir, and God bless. I'm 33, disabled autistic with PTSD, your content has helped me quite a bit. I've been struggling lately. Rough on myself concerning a lack of profession. I've always wanted to help people, and I'm now quite interested in becoming an EMT or some kind of paramedic. I have these goals set before me on my own behalf but I thank you for the inspiration. God Bless.
2 divorces iam good. I bought two motorcycles and live at the beach. Not getting another horse. But my Concours has 1400 horses! And I got excited while on a walk on the beach this morning while watching a sun rise!
Poco bloodlines. I am a Morgan breed lover but even I know about the Poco horses. Nice, sensible, athletic. I hope he turns out to be all you dream. Thank you for this video. A granny in Canada.
Beautiful message and beautiful horses, sir. They put a sparkle in your eye, no doubt about it. Very happy to hear your fire for life is as bright as ever. Just got me a couple wheels and a motor to tear up Nevada. I’ll call it my new horse!
"What if it (your new horse) goes wrong?" Get another horse. I turned 64 yesterday. My forever horse i got as a wealing when i was 50. I got her going pretty handy and my daughter decided she liked her better than her horse. Big deal, i can ride my old rope horse then tune my mare back up when my daughter is done with her. She took in a couple 3yr olds and ended up buying one of those so i got my mare back. When i took in a mule in to try out to hunt off of, same daughter slipped around and bought it for me. That was overwhelming and hard at the same time. I couldn't talk her out of it and realized i couldn't steal that blessing from her. I'm about to breed my 14 y.o. mare to raise me another mule to hunt off of since present mule is kinda small for me (I believe so anyway). I'll be around 68 when I start riding it but that's ok. A man needs goals, something to believe in and work toward.
I used to be a boxer and as boxers know liver shots are crippling. The pain makes you cringe and bend forward but the best way to get rid of the crippling feeling you have to put your shoulders back, straighten up and then you can breathe. Now i know i have been taking a few liver shots but I didn't realize I bend over. You need another horse to ride and i realize i needed to put my shoulders back. Either way you made me realize you have to go again. I still have my hands up but I'll be dancing soon enough, thank you sir.
I once bought a horse online and got scammed badly. I wouldn't recommend paying until you arrive with the trailer, as there are dishonest people out there. It was a heartbreaker. Dwayne, I'm glad everything worked out for you, and you found good people and great horses.
I've hit bottom again, but something is different this time. I'm excited about the future and met someone. The world is mine again to discover. Thanks for the uplifting message!
This is one of the few sports/professions/hobbies that you can improve upon with age/wisdom. I'm 67 and am a better horseman/rider than at 57 and just realized there is a possibility that my yearling colt I am raising out of my good Poco mare and Shiney Outlaw might out live me so I better do a damn good job on him so someone else will want and take good care of him should something happen to me. At this age I feel younger when I get a younger horse to train. Add some speed and agility, grease your wheels and get another horse. Ride on Dewayne I know the feeling well.
Hey there I just watched this video for the second time. I’m wanting you and Mamma to please say a prayer for me . I know this isn’t your Bible Talk Channel . But I am relating to so much of what you’re saying. I am a risk taker. I bought Bear online. And had Him transported during a Blizzard . My Transporter , Cheryl , was AMAZING!, He is a perfect fit for my Husband. However, it was Me who wanted a Horse after almost 50 years of waiting. So just say a prayer that just maybe God willing , that forever Horse will somehow make its way to Me ! Much Love to You Both ❤❤ Laura 🦄💜
As if the shared wisdom of Dewayne did not bring the tremendous value and perspective that it does, the reflections of the readers adds to that significantly. Thanks to all of you, but most especially to Dewayne for creating content that actually has value. Just tremendous. Best sermons I've ever listened to.
Ohh My Brother YOU did it Again ! Your video a while back telling us that you lost Ray 🥲, The Lord spoke to me . He was preparing me to say goodbye to Willow . I did not want to even listen as your kind heart shared how We had given the Horse a good life . Be comforted in that . Anyway, Willow is gone from my care . I was never able to buy Her . The owner wanted more than I was able to. Pay. This new video you just posted has made me smile 😊 I once again hear God’s Voice . Through you He is encouraging me to keep moving forward with Horses. Funny enough, I actually just began to sit on top of Bear ! He turns 3 in June . We are going slow and He is doing fantastic. ( I gave Little Bear to my Husband ). So like You, maybe I will find my Horse to call my Own . After 50 years waiting, your message gave me that hope . Thank you Both you mean a lot to me . Laura 💜
Thank you. I needed this today. I have been in a deep depression for the last year. Just starting to pull out of it. I need a new job and you helped me see i need to get moving on it. Well pat a horse for me. Mine died years ago miss him dearly.
Omg I needed this. I have a good 4 yr old and I was stuck with the old what if. Hell you've just turned that all around. I'm going to rewatch and listen to your words of wisdom again. Tracey(Australia)
When I'm going through hard times I know I can always come to listen to these videos and they're going to remind me that everything's gonna be alright.
Hi Dewayne. You might be amazed to learn how this message literally saves lives. The suicidal thoughts are intense for many and this message helps a lot.
Been awhile since I heard one of your videos - always appreciate them. I'm a truck driver struggling with a bad skin infection that's getting worse and threatening to maybe loose my arm if I don't just stop to heal. I'll lose my job by doing so and have been forcing and trying everything I can do to keep what I got. This week I finally accepted that keeping my arm and finding another horse to ride when I'm ready is just whats going to have to happen. Thanks for this confirmation
Thank you ;) I am still above dirt ! All I need to do is find something to keep that dirt under my feet and have fun. Not much on horses they are like women. There is a place near Maybell, CO called Sand Wash Basin where wild horses run free thats about as close as I like to get to a horse but I do enjoy watching them. It's realy to bad they round them up and put them corals to be sold some one like you would make a good home for any of them poor souls. Again Thank You for video and sharing.
Dewayne, Thanks for the tip. I drove from Chesapeake, VA to Dallas, TX . Could not find a place to stop and took my rest stop did what you did. Every place wanted an arm and leg. Looking for my forever horse. God bless you ❤️ 🙏for your wisdom and dedication
Just lost my job after 15 years with the company, and have to say, this really got me excited about the future, like I am in my 20s again (I am 53 now). I know what you mean.
I know it’s not the same but my cat is very sick and her vet appointment isn’t until Thursday. Praying she’ll be. I love all animals and it breaks my heart about your horse. It’s like losing a person
Wow..I’ve listened to this cowboy for awhile now, off and on, and this morning this was the first video to pop up in my feed. It brought me to tears as I listened to his wisdom on this subject. I rode and showed horses for years and trained dogs along with that. They were both a passion. The last several years I’ve gotten strictly into dogs and as much as I love it I’ve found myself in the very predicament Dewayne speaks of. I’m a small woman but I don’t back down from many challenges and 6 years ago I rescued a tiny white puppy that my children and myself saw thrown out of a moving vehicle as we stood outside my daughters house. He was riddled with every parasite, internally and externally that a dog could have so I decided to vet him out and find a good home for him. That tiny, mangey puppy turned into a breathtaking 115 pound 1/2 American Pitbull Terrier and 1/2 Great Pyrenees (by DNA tests) that stole my heart. I blood trailed wounded game with him and he never let me down. In short, he changed my life when I found him and he also changed my life when I lost him 2 years ago. The hurt is still there in an almost unbearable way at times but listening to Dewayne today made me realize that the best legacy I can leave for Trooper is to “find another horse to ride.”
Dewayne this hit me right upside the head, I've been with my company 7 years and have been unhappy the last 3 or so. Waiting for a change or some sort of other opportunity within the company only to be told time and time again that I'm too valuable in my current position. But my position is mentally draining and for some reason I stick around waiting for something to happen. This makes me feel like it could be time to move on and try something new. Thank you pal!
That was a great message Uncle Dewayne. Live a little, take some chances, do things that out life back into you. If not, then welcome to a dull boring life. We love you Uncle Dewayne. See you next Time.
I don't know what my life was supposed to be. I do know the noise of this world is so crazy, I just don't know how to plug back into it. This life, so far as I know is the only one I get and I got no guarantee Jesus is going to know me on that final day. I pray He does. For now, I am nearly 54 years old and I have been living on the ragged edge of life nearly completely separated from the things of this world. Nobody knows you when you're not plugged into the world. I have not been excited about the future for over 15 years and that bright spot died. I need the only kind of rest that only God can provide. I would love to be around people who live simply in Christ and simply but honestly in their earthly needs. Thank you for the uplift. I have not been on a horse in years but I'll never forget how that feels. Majestic animals for sure.
At 56 I am restarting a mustang. I have questioned myself many times if im too old/too weak/too afraid.... This video sent a clear message to me to light the fire in me again and do it because i would always wonder how far i could take him. Thank you
Thank you for your words sir I’m so proud of you for getting these new horses And I’m glad you got the second one It’s gonna be a new chapter for them and for you

Made me feel like God hadn't given up on me or wasn't up there rolling His eyes feeling like He has to just "deal with me." Instead, He loves me. He has a perfect plan for me. He works all things out for good. ❤
Thanks for sharing, I encourage you to have faith that God will show you your purpose.
People have been waiting for Jesus to return since he paid for our sins. Just focus on making yourself the best version of yourself. That's all the lord wants for all of.
Thank you for sharing! I had very similiar feeling yesterday, and the feeling like - noo it is not possible that God is here, in this situation..
Thank you for your comment; lots of great conversations here.
Thanks
Jesus spoke to me through this one. Thank you.😊
Yeah he did!
All the best to you and your new horse.
total respect for you and your hard earned life pretty cool!
So much wisdom! Recently had to close my 22 year business and file for bankruptcy. Going to start looking for "another horse to ride."
Thank-you.
You got me through some tough times Dewayne. I always make sure to pass it on. Love you brother.
57 years old and did just that! Bought 2 year old horse off the internet 1100 miles away. It has been fantastic!
Glad I’m not the only crazy one out there! All the best with your new wild hair 😊
@@DryCreekWranglerSchool you as well!
Myself personally, I’ll never give up on myself or my family.
Hi fellow Oregonian, pat your horse for me. I miss having one.
Great video!!! Love to you & Momma!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊️🕊️🕊️❤️❤️❤️
God Bless.
Good luck!
Is been years since I felt excitement about anything. Fear and CVD bucked me off. Your msg had a profound impact on me. I will try.
2 divorces iam good. I bought two motorcycles and live at the beach. Not getting another horse. But my Concours has 1400 horses! And I got excited while on a walk on the beach this morning while watching a sun rise!
Congrats on your two new horses. Know you are happy to have them.
Poco bloodlines. I am a Morgan breed lover but even I know about the Poco horses. Nice, sensible, athletic. I hope he turns out to be all you dream. Thank you for this video. A granny in Canada.
Thanks, Bud. Peso looks like a great boy. He’s lucky to have a dad like you. Your message meant a lot to me today. Thanks again.
This spoke to me, I'm excited again. I remember why moving forward is important, thank you.
I love watching so much and you’re like a dad talking to his children 🫶🏼🥹
I had a very very hard day. Thank you for this. I needed to hear it.
Congratulations on your new horses! Have a good trip home.
Haven't felt excited in years but I'm gonna try. Thank you for this. Love from England.
So much truth. I needed to hear it!
I love how you turn lessons from horsemanship to lifes situations. We can all relate...i know i do.
Dwayne you are probably my favorite content creator
Laura 💜
P.S. Question? How old do you feel a Horse needs to be before riding?
I agree DEWAYNE. Ijust enjoy so much YOUR VIDEOS O N LIFE And HORSES. BOTH of them look great.
Thank you. I needed this today. I have been in a deep depression for the last year. Just starting to pull out of it. I need a new job and you helped me see i need to get moving on it. Well pat a horse for me. Mine died years ago miss him dearly.
This channel has become so special to me. Thank you once again Dewayne!
This title and analogy is fire
Hi Dewayne. You might be amazed to learn how this message literally saves lives. The suicidal thoughts are intense for many and this message helps a lot.
Always a pleasure, Dewayne. Have a blessed night.
Dewayne,
Thanks for the tip.
I know what you mean.
good luck
I know it’s not the same but my cat is very sick and her vet appointment isn’t until Thursday. Praying she’ll be. I love all animals and it breaks my heart about your horse. It’s like losing a person
"This Ol Hat!!. You made a very very good point There Dewayne for sure....
They both look great. That Red Roan looks outstanding....
Thanks Dwayne...always. a pleasure seeing you!
This video found me just in time, your talks have helped me through some of the most confusing and toughest times in my life, thank you Dwayne.
At 56 I am restarting a mustang. I have questioned myself many times if im too old/too weak/too afraid.... This video sent a clear message to me to light the fire in me again and do it because i would always wonder how far i could take him. Thank you
Dwayne, I hope this horse brings you immense joy because you deserve the best horse during the best time of your life.
Good life lesson, also thanks for turing me on to ned ledoux, I really enjoy his father's music.
He's good enough to ride the river with...Praise God such men still are. Found my other horse. Looking forward to Dewayne: REDEMPTION
Thank you for your words sir

Love the video and thank you for taking the time to make it. Your my favorite fellah on TH-cam and a inspiration to a Dad of 7 boys and a brand new new baby girl 😃
Sometimes your messages help me with my life and sometimes they remind me that I did the right thing. Thank you, I was being too harsh on myself for things not happening in the timeframe I had planned (perks of being young I guess). This gave me a better perspective.
Dewayne is hittin me in the feels. Thank you yet again sir, your wisdom is helpin me grow and learn from my mistakes. I'll be 27 this year & your videos are the advice I've needed all my life. Beautiful horses & amazing video. Happy belated birthday and I'm glad you've found your horse you deserve it. Be well

Congratulations! Those are a couple of beautiful horses.

Your wisdom is much needed at this very moment. Thank you very much.
Good luck with your new horses , lost my last horse this winter ( he was 26 ) I’m 69 , he was wonderful and I just can’t bring myself to find another . I think I’m ok with my memories . ❤❤
I needed this. thank you Dwayne. God Bless.
Ride on! Much love, God Bless you & yours ❤
Your videos showed up on my feed last week, and I've been watching you since - it's as if the Uncle I should've had finally came to encourage me and tell me lessons I needed to hear. May your new horse Peso serve you well, Dewayne.
Happy birthday from April Dewayne! I also just had my 57th in April! Wishing you all the best with your new horses! Greetings from Arizona.🎉👍🏻
