Just like everyone has said this is a very easy project and an awesome job on the tutorial. I just made 65 of them for a parade that the wife and I are attending for rescue mastiffs. Each one from the group will get a free poo bag. No messes from our group. I feel it’s a great way to get my name out there. Who knows. Maybe I’ll get lucky. I really do love your tutorials. I actually find the chain stitching somewhat relaxing.
Good morning Christine from Pennsylvania, USA! I have completed my first poopie bag. I am a new sewer using scraps of what I have, including 16” zippers which I cut down. The bag turned out a slightly different size but works for now. I am not good at installing the eyelets yet but will work on that. As a newly retired (again) Nurse Assistant I just want to keep busy and supplement my income, I feel sure these will be a big help. Thank you for your video, I have it bookmarked and go back to it often.
I looked for this video awhile back, but couldn't find it, so, I guessed, and made a bag for my granddaughter, it's okay...but...my suster git a cute little pup, she is 68, and she never had a dog before. So, I searched better, and made 2 bags, I had 2 red patterned puppy material, paw prints, etc, and they came out great!! I used buttonholes, as I don't have a grommet thingy like you...but they are so cute!! Thanks so much.
If you sew your fabric to the entire length of zipper tape you will save time and zipper tape. Then cut the tape between the fabric. Finish the bags as you started. Nice tutorial.
Just found you and I am glad I did. Your tutorials are fantastic. I hate watching when the presenter prattles on with endless chit chat. Your instructions are clean, quick, and complete. This little project is so doo-able and I have everything needed to do some. again, thanks!
Thank you! I made 8 of these today. The 1st one I made all at once just to see how it would go. It was so much fun. I felt so proud of myself, and I'm 65. I then batch managed the next 7. You have a talent for explaining your steps. I've made several of your products and look forward to more videos. Thank you, thank you.
Christine, Thank you for your wonderful tutorial! I love this. I have made collars and harnesses for dogs but never poopie bags. I'm going to make some quite soon. I have several neighbors with dogs who walk them often. I will put them on a pole at the end of the driveway for anyone with a dog to take. I love doing things like this. You are a very good instructor and your demonstration techniques are quite good. Thank you again for such a thorough and well done tutorial. All I need to buy are the swivel hooks, the rest I have plenty of. This will be such a nice treat for the dog owners. ❤️❤️❤️ Kudos to you. Please keep sharing your skills.
Love to watch you. You have taught this quilter so much. Thank you for all you do. I have enjoyed making many of your projects for my family, my friends and myself. Please keep up all the wonderful things you do. Thank you again. Quilter gone seamstress in Missouri.
Thank you for the excellent tutorial. I wondered how these tiny zipped bags were made. Buying bulk zippers is so smart - that way you don’t have to run out to buy them when you decide what you want to make on any particular day.
Super Project. And easy to sew for beginners too. Thank you for sharing! Please use a copper or Brass plate under the punch. This iron one will unsharpen it evry time you punch on it!
Love how easy you have made your production line and instructions. So easy to follow. If only i could find such inexpensive upholstery fabric to make these little bags!
Thank you for sharing your skills and inviting your fans to make and sell for themselves! I'm starting to sew items to sell and can't wait to try these and some of your other items.
Thanks Christine, very interesting to see your process. I like how you explain your cost reasoning, People forget all the overheads that need to be covered.
Yay Poop Bags 👏 What great instructions with such professional results too 👍👍. I can’t wait to whip up some of these clever useful little cuties. Thank you for sharing 👍👍 Stay safe healthy and happy 😃✝️🇺🇸
I'm so excited, I'm a groomer/washer also home sewer for years and years, I'm always sewing and making all kind of things for my clients /dogs.. I know these are going to make a great addition to my sales and my customers happy!! They absolutely love the things I make an give away or sell. Happy to use the huge amounts of fabric I have also for something so useful in my career!!
I have been watching you for a month or so and I find it very easy to follow your instructions. I absolutely love the itty-bitty bags and have made tons of them. Thank you. Shawn from Linden,California
Thank you so much! She is adorable! I cant wait to learn. I love that you tell us how long it takes you and how much you sell them for and the tools etc. Your heart is so big. Thank you!
I really like your videos because you get straight to it and you also show ways to "assembly line" sew with minimal thread & time wasting. I also like that you share how you calculate pricing even though in my area I only have crafts shows & flea markets to sell & have to adjust my pricing for what the traffic can bear. Thank you so much❣
Thank you for the great tip about postage! I wouldn't have thought about that! You are a true gift to us and your clients. I hope you have a fantastic day. Im off to sew a sliding pencil case. Im making one at 100% but have started making one at 150%. I hope to publish a pattern soon. My goal is to publish patterns for beginners that have patterns for everything including interfacing and all squares/ rectangles. It takes me forever to cut a straight 90* rectangle. Esp with my small cutting mat. But getting faster!
Thank you so much for sharing. Your tutorial was one of the best I’ve watched with how you took your time to go over every detail and to give the tips on how to save time also. 😊
Thank you for showing us this. You have such brilliant ideas rooted in real selling experience, and so carefully taught. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Stumbled across your shopping bag tutorial and now I am a new subscriber! I am a newbie to sewing machines and got my first Brother machine just before Christmas for my birthday. Do not have a stash of fabric etc but I do have the desire to learn and think your tutorials are great with easy to follow step by step instructions. I would like to ask if you have any simple project ideas for using fat quarters other than quilting or projects with scraps of fabric, off cuts etc. Also glad to hear you feeling a lot better from your ordeal with the hospital and like the tattoo idea, if they miss that they blind! Thank you for sharing videos, will enjoy watching the past ones and look forward to the new. All the best from Jennie in the UK. 😊
Thanks Jey. I might have to do some fat quarter project videos soon. I have a few in mind, but you might want to start with a tea towel (dish cloth) I have a video done for that one in my "Sew to sell" playlist. Or even an oven mitt to start with.😀
Just discovered your channel and so pleased and grateful for all the guidance and information you share. These bags are such a good idea. I'm going to make lots for the dog rescue I support. Thank you!
Hi . I found your channel yesterday, I subscribe straight away,. Thank you for the clear explanation of each video. Your tutorial’s are really helpful So lovely to see how much you love your puppy coco 😁 beautiful baby. Xx
What a generous and thoughtful video you produced here. I just discovered you! Your video is so thorough. I plan on making them for gifts but really appreciate your cost breakdown information. I can't wait to watch your other videos. Thank you for all your efforts in producing such an excellent video!
Hello Christine, What a lovely project and a great tutorial. Thank you. I have trialled 3 as awaiting smaller swivel clasps. I have lined 2 with waterproof R***stop, we’ll in this country (England) it has been known for 4 seasons in a day!! Seriously though,it works well. I also made same fabric loops for clasp as only had 1” webbing tape. Works well using quilting fabric (100% cotton) for those who may be interested. Looking forward to passing one to my daughter for my furry granddaughter 😀.
I love these thankyou. I am so impressed with how beautifully you finish all your projects/products and your explanations are so clear. They are well made and well priced. One of my pet hates are when I hear someone say ‘ that’s a nice hobby but ‘ You have renewed my interest in sewing again and I wish you all the luck in the world thankyou
Thank you for this video. I’ve been wanting to try and make some of these.I like how your videos are thorough and efficient yet they are done at an appropriate pace and easy to follow.
Dear Christine, thank you for providing the viewer with all the measurements needed to make this poo pouch. My daughter suggested to use this pouch for poo diapers too. Your instructions are clear and concise; chain piecing saves time when making multiple bags, buying a zipper roll saves money, using all black zippers makes sense, and all your tips like sewing one side of the zipper then tearing it apart to sew the other side…..I think you get the idea. I’m filled with gratitude and hope to fill you with a cup of coffee or two.
Thank you so much for your kind words and amazing generosity Rita. Your daughter may like the nappy bag pouch I added the other day. It's for disposable nappy/diaper bags😁
Oh my gosh, not only fell in love with your pup but love to see what you come up with and let us know what you sell your products for and the reason why you sell them for that price. The funny thing is that I too was thinking at the beginning of the video that if I was to make some of those, that $15 sounded like a fair price. Between $12-$15 especially for the time and supplies needed to make them.
Something I used to use before I became confident, was double sided tape. This will prevent zips and fabric from distorting whilst you sew Shawn. Give that a go, and practice with different fabrics and cheap zippers to understand the fabric 😀
Love your sewing tutorials! Thank you for your step by step process : ) Can you please make a followup on how to sew in hook and loop (VELC**) instead of zipper closure?
I used this idea with a couple of modifications. I used a 6" square ((15 cm) and instead of an eyelet, I attached a loop at the top of the zipper to attach a key ring for my car key outside of the pouch, The rest of my keys are in the pouch, attached to a short lanyard. ChRISTINE!!!!! I love your channel. I've watched all the vids and for some reason can't get enough of you....thank you sew much. I just made the poo bags and love this pattern ❤❤ 😊😊 i wish i could meet you but i live all the way across the world in Michigan USA...

Yes I do Toni-Lee. Here it is. If you're in the US, measurements are 18" x 36" for fabric, and 44" for handles 😀 th-cam.com/video/LSXNylYWGDU/w-d-xo.html
Finally, someone who is truly transparent about profits. Thank you.
Thank you Maria 😀

What a lovely thing to do Steven. I find the chain stitching therapeutic as well 😀

Well done Linda. The eyelets get a little easier each time you do them. 😁
I looked for this video awhile back, but couldn't find it, so, I guessed, and made a bag for my granddaughter, it's okay...but...my suster git a cute little pup, she is 68, and she never had a dog before. Betty, the buttonhole is a perfect way to make the openings. Good job!😀
If you sew your fabric to the entire length of zipper tape you will save time and zipper tape. Then cut the tape between the fabric. Finish the bags as you started. Nice tutorial.
That's a good tip Sue. Thank you 😊
Just found you and I am glad I did. Your tutorials are fantastic. I hate watching when the presenter prattles on with endless chit chat. Your instructions are clean, quick, and complete. This little project is so doo-able and I have everything needed to do some. again, thanks!
Thanks so much nancy. Welcome to the channel😁
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates extra words that are not necessary 😅
Thank you! I made 8 of these today. The 1st one I made all at once just to see how it would go. It was so much fun. I felt so proud of myself, and I'm 65. I then batch managed the next 7. That's fantastic Jill. I'm so happy for you. Keep up the good work 😁
Made my first one, took me 35 minutes. Spent much of this time searching for supplies I already had. Love it! Thank you!
Haha, I do that all the time Pat 😀
Christine, Thank you for your wonderful tutorial! I love this. I have made collars and harnesses for dogs but never poopie bags. I'm going to make some quite soon. Thank you DF, and what a lovely gesture, leaving gifts for others 🙂
I've just found you and I'm really enjoying your videos. I appreciate the efficient way you do things and your breakdown of how you price your items.
Thanks linkay😀
I LOVE that you DOUBLE and TRIPLE stitch even if you don't always need to--i do the same thing--thank you for your tutorials
Thanks Marci. I do like the added strength. Particularly when I'm selling a product 😀
Love to watch you. You have taught this quilter so much. Thank you for all you do. I have enjoyed making many of your projects for my family, my friends and myself. Please keep up all the wonderful things you do. Thank you again. Quilter gone seamstress in Missouri.

What a great idea Erin😀
What a great tutorial. You’re a fantastic teacher!!
Thank you so much Theresa 😀
This is an excellent example of production line sewing, and your dog is adorable! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Teri ☺️
Thank you for the excellent tutorial. I wondered how these tiny zipped bags were made. Buying bulk zippers is so smart - that way you don’t have to run out to buy them when you decide what you want to make on any particular day.
Agreed. I still have many coloured zips, but always the wrong one, so I just stick with one now 🤪
Super Project. And easy to sew for beginners too. Thank you for sharing!
Please use a copper or Brass plate under the punch. This iron one will unsharpen it evry time you punch on it!
Thanks Bea. This was a brass plate, but you're right. I used another one on an anvil and destroyed the punch🤣
Brilliant tip, thank you. July'24. UK. E ❤
Zipper tape by the yard has always mystified me. Thank you for the great explanation.
You're welcome Shari 😊
Great idea. Ty for sharing
You're most welcome Georgia 😀
Love how easy you have made your production line and instructions. So easy to follow. If only i could find such inexpensive upholstery fabric to make these little bags!
Thanks Darlene. You could try furniture restorers for scraps they don't want, and furniture stores for old sample swatches 😀
I've picked up curtain material at second hand stores that are quite heavy duty
Thank you for sharing your skills and inviting your fans to make and sell for themselves! I'm starting to sew items to sell and can't wait to try these and some of your other items.
That's awesome Gail. I wish you all the best 😀
Thanks Christine, very interesting to see your process. I like how you explain your cost reasoning, People forget all the overheads that need to be covered.

Such a great little design! I will definitely be making one of these for my doggy!
That's wonderful Catherine 😀
Nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!😀
As always, great business ideas. God bless you🤲
Thank you 🌝
I find the zips intimidating and helpful tricks to make sure they line up through the whole process
Something I used to use before I became confident, was double sided tape. This will prevent zips and fabric from distorting whilst you sew Shawn. Give that a go, and practice with different fabrics and cheap zippers to understand the fabric 😀
Beautiful Boxer! 😍 Boxers have my heart!
Thanks for the tutorial!
Mine too Alicia 😀
You are so generous. Thank you for your videos. You have big heart!
Thank you so much😊
Thanks for making zipper installation so straightforward. This was my first time attempting and it was easy with your explanation. Love your videos.
Thant's wonderful Murray. Thank you😁
OMG Loved the little wooowooo!
Oh yeah, she's so adorable 😍
Love your sewing tutorials! Thank you for your step by step process : ) Can you please make a followup on how to sew in hook and loop (VELC**) instead of zipper closure?
Sure Marisol. I'll do that for you😀
Thank you!!!! 🥰
Love your tutorials! You show and explain everything so well, so happy to have found your channel!!!
Thank you Michela. Welcome 😀
I used this idea with a couple of modifications. I used a 6" square ((15 cm) and instead of an eyelet, I attached a loop at the top of the zipper to attach a key ring for my car key outside of the pouch, The rest of my keys are in the pouch, attached to a short lanyard. I've been trying to think of a quiet key holder and I think this will work. Thanks for sharing how to make puppy poop pouches aka my key pouch.
That's a great modification. Thanks for sharing😀
I was not even going to try to make this item because it seemed so small for my hands to manage. Thank you Christina for this tutorial. I now feel I can manage this item.
You can do it Mericel 😀
Thank you. I am in the US so I will have to figure out the least expensive place to get my zips.
Verna, try the zipper shipper in the US, or Amazon and etsy 🙂
