Thank you for this idea, so much easier and faster than using a grommet. Making them for family and friends, they are my "guinea pigs" right now, eventually I'd like to sell for a little extra income (and keep this newly retired CNA busy again). Thank you again!!!
This was a "life saver" for the dog I inherited recently. What a great way to use up scraps too. Took me clearly less than 30 minutes to make three. Thank you!
Fabulous directions! Thank you so much for adding a Cricut pattern in the community section. This pattern helped me to learn how to sew with a much quicker understanding.
I made this today and it turned out perfect - thank you for sharing. I love this design because it doesn’t require a zipper. I added batting and quilted the outer fabric. I also attached the clasp to a plastic spiral hair tie so it’s more like a wristlet. I can see myself making a ton of these for all my doggie parent friends. 😍
Me again! Well, it only took 11 months, but I finally got around to making one of these today. Such a quick, easy project, and a nice way to use up a bit of scrap fabric. I made this one specifically to hang from my water bottle tote (I used some of the leftover fabrics from that project), so it's a cute, matching accessory when Mr O & I walk the dogs. Thank you so much for the tutorial! PS - I tagged you on Insta if you want to see it.
I love videos like this. I've recently bought my first 'serious / proper' sewing machine and I'm looking for small projects that don't use a lot of fabric so that I can practice my stitches / sewing. This looks perfect, such a cute project too, thank you x
That you so much for this pattern. The current one I was using was so complicated! The only thing I asked on this was I made a strap & then attached a snap button so you can tie it around the leash.
Thank you for this tutorial. I've never sewn before and with your clear instructions, I was able to successfully make this. This project was especially nice since it's useful and didn't include zippers which I don't have lying around.
I need one for the car. One for the other car. One for the cottage. One for the boat. Etc. Etc. 😂. Seriously tho. These are awesome!!! Thank you. What a great gift for everyone I know with pets!!
Yet another sewing project I just might be ready to try.....and being as we have 3 dogs this is perfect. Thank you so much Lorrie for these easy sewing projects....thanks to you my sewing machine is finally getting used :) Hugs...Janie
thanks for sharing this project! I just completed this. I have one problem though. my machine (brother strong & tough) had problems going over the places where the fabric overlapped, like it was too thick for the machine. i had to manually move the needle with the wheel. any tips for this?
Just because I am a newer sewer....to make it fight a little tighter around the roll of waste bags, would you overlap the fabric a little more, or would you adjust the width of the fabric? Of course I will have to play around with it, but with the waste bags I am currently using it seems that they will fall out once I use a few off the roll. But I totally love these and they were easy to make. Perfect instructions for a beginner to be able to follow! Instead of using a clasp I just used a carabiner.
Nice easy pattern but I couldn't get the bags to pull out. They wouldn't work either under rolled or over rolled. Is there a trick to it? The roll is 3 1/4" so plenty of room.
This is a great tutorial, I just made few, so happy 😄 is any way you can make a tutorial how to make the pen holder bookmark you make using the cricut leather, I have some for several years and don't know what to do with, thanks in advance 🥰
Do you mind sharing the size of Lobster Clasps? I think I may need to buy the split ring separate from the clasp. I am finding some that look too large and others that I know are too small. I am anxious to make some for our dogs buddies masters... Anxious for your reply. The video was great.

Love these! So simple, and yet so attractive and useful. As soon as I get some clasps I'll be making a few of these for my two puppers.

I definitely want to make some! I don't have a dog (maybe by the end of the year) but I could totally make these for people I know who do have them!
I can't wait to do these! I used to carry waste bags for my son, but kept losing the ends of the plastic carrier. This will be perfect!!

Thanks for the cute idea - 2 friends/relatives just got puppies within the year. This will definitely come in handy.
