Oh my gosh..most of time my typos are just jibberish. But, this one is just too funny, of I do say so myself 🤣 that should say large 'boxy' bags!!! Oops!
Christine you are so amazing. I am a teacher who retired after 26 years of teaching High School. I love your tall boxy bag as a teacher. But I'd like to make a suggestion. When a teacher gets loaded down carrying stuff from her car to her classroom, she needs one easy-to-access pocket to carry her teaching identification card, her keys, her cell phone, and something to write with. On that tall bag I would suggest one outside pocket all the way across one side or both. Do not divide them do not make them individual just one pocket where we can easily drop everything to it and then when we get to the classroom door and need to unlock we can reach in that one pocket formal find that key and unlock that door. It's also a perfect place to throw your ID at the end of the day and have it again at the beginning of the next day. And a very convenient spot for the cell phone cell phone in case someone calls you and your hands are full. If I was still teaching I would want that bag. Also gift one bag to a teacher at a school and that is the cheapest advertisement you will get for selling them. We often buy things like that for each other as well as advertised for people who are working local to support the children that we are teaching teaching
I always find these round ups of your year fascinating. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your content, your sewing tutorials are truly one of the best on YT. Thank you
I always look forward to this! I was very surprised about the shopping bags, although as you say, most of us have our own bags now. I have one of the pen holders for books and it's one of my favourite things. I use it around a clipboard for when I do my community driving and have to fill in paperwork. Works a treat. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this year. Cheers
You are a lovely, generous woman. Thank you for your kindness and giving nature. When my children were young and I stayed home with them I sewed dolls, bears, painted gifts, and a zillion other things in consignment shops and craft shows. Keeping stock in 5 stores had me putting in a lot of hours, but it paid off by blessing me with time with my children. I'm sure you're motivating many moms and others by your videos. Thank you, again. ❤️
Hi Christine, there are 2 bags I’d love a video on. One is like your satchel but the type with the flap going over the top. The other bag is the crescent shaped bag. While I’m at it, maybe also the cross body bum bag (otherwise known as fanny pack). These are all bags I’m wanting to make. Thanks for your amazing videos, who would’ve thought the unlined zipper bags would knock your shopping bags off their perch!
You are so transparent. Thanks for sharing it. I'm surprised that your sales are down. All the items look so good. Especially shopping bags. May be try selling them on Ebay. You are helping create, upcycle, and prevent things, ending up wasted. Wishing you lots more success.
Yes, please make a video of how you made the cross body satchel. I would love to try making it. Thank you for your kindness in always sharing your makes with us. I always look forward to trying your new makes.
I think ever-expanding diversity is important. Your (and my) products don't expire too quickly and the market gets saturated. If you are interested in quilting at all, I am having success with sets of 4 coasters, sets of 2 mug rugs, and sets of 4 placemats, all in addition to the small zippered pouches you taught me to make (with thanks again!)
1. Perhaps you could also make and sell a pocketed liner that can transfer to any purse or bag. 2. Also, I've got my purse set up so i never have to take my car fob out of my purse. My house keys are on a cord attached inside my purse. My coin purse is on a cord too, pinned to my purse lining. Therefore, my purse would have to be stolen or me kidnapped to lose my keys or money. They are all attached and my purse is a fanny pack slung low on my hip, covered by a coat or sweater. Make a purse liner with these cords for keys and coin purse.
Yes, I think it is the economy mostly. Then having more variety of stock and different patterned fab. I am trying to do that myself. Thank you so much for encouragement.
I thought that, too. I don't know how your economy is doing, but we've had some high inflation and people just have less disposable income. I believe you said that tourists are the greater part of your buyers. I wondered if the number of tourists has decreased, and if they are spending a bit less per person. Your business savvy as well as your hard work and innovation are very inspiring. Best to you in 2025!
Wish you much Happiness and Success in the New Year. I am amazed at your talents and the business you have developed. A ROLE MODEL for us all. Thanks for your Videos, too. you have taught me many tricks and projects!
Christine you do a fabulous job with all of your creations. I honestly think sales could be down due to the high prices of everything else. Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
I enjoy listening to people’s purchasing habits. I also enjoy your analyzation of your products and business. You are so honest. Thanks for sharing. Even though I am not in a business for myself, I like hearing about your endeavors. 😊
I just came across your videos and have to say that your products look high quality. This year for the holidays I decided to only give handmade things to my friends and family. I think that my hard earned money was well spent and I know that my local Crafters and Artists appreciate my business.
You look fantastic Christine! Thanks for this video. I'm on a 30 day challenge to make a bag a day. You were part of my start on this journey. XOXO I appreciate you very much! Your store is my dream.... for real! 💖💖
Thank you for showing us your sales again,I find it really interesting.Hope you will find something quick and new to make.I found this the same when I had a mar key stall, you often get the same people that shop,so you have to keep thinking of new things all the time.I have. Been making the helping hands and they sell very well,I lady has been buying quite a few for her retirement home and I had a playschool asking for some in bright colours. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks again for the round up. I am kind of sad to see the supermarket totes loose it’s top spot, but it had a good run. Glad to see the small pouches prevailed. Love the large satchel. Love your channel and plan to continue following. Thanks for sharing.
Happy and prosperous New Year! This year is going to be great for all of us! I love this channel and keep dropping links to anybody that is interested in sewing! Thank you Christine for all you do!
Interesting to see the numbers again. I know it's easier and cheaper to use only black zippers ans handles, but I think one reason, why your unlined zipper pouches sell that good is because you used color matching zippers. The black one is mostly fine but with some fabrics it would be better to use a different, more matching color. Maybe you could try this in future projects as well.
I agree I feel black accessories can give masculine appearance. I know I wouldn't want black zips and handles. I actually prefer handles to have matching fabric to the item, more coordinated, stylish and prettier.
Of course we would love to see a video of the bag please they are a great idea for back to school along with pencil cases and notebook covers too. I hope the tourism trade has been kind to you over the past week also
I love, love, love the crossbody satchel!! I'd definitely benefit from a full tutorial, 'cause I'll be making a BUNCH of them. Thanks always for sharing your time, talent and ideas🌺🙏❤️
I really like no #8 soft body bags. The new bag looks interesting and should sell. There is always a new product out there waiting to be made. Good luck in the new year and keep the videos coming.
Would love to see a video on the crossbody satchel. Agreed, the shopping bags are great but I have more than I know what to do with and I suspect many others do as well. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Christine. I am glad to hear that you are increasing your hourly labor rate. Every time you tell us how much you charge for an item, I am astonished at the reasonable cost for such lovely items. And, yes, that is taking into account the exchange rate for the Australian dollar. I also would love to see a video on the satchel: I am having a hard time visualizing how to make it based on the tapered bag. Thank you!
Hi Christine! As soon as I started watching I thought “gosh she looks familiar!” Then you started talking about living in a small tourist town and selling second hand things with your partner Chris! Then it all clicked! I haven’t been to nagambie for so long (despite living only 20 min away near Avonlea flower farm in Murchison). I guess we can thank the freeway cutting off nagambie for that! Anyway, it’s so wonderful to see you sharing your talents on TH-cam. I’ll have to make a special trip and see what you have on sale soon! Happy new year. Kind regards, Kelly.
Im going to make the little notebook pen holders as a bonus present for my husband whose birthday is on the 6th Jan. Before the day starts he usually makes notes of different tasks he wants to get done that day. ☺️
Happy New Year! Thank you for your videos, I have been finding them enjoyable and informative. I, for one, would LOVE to see a video on the hybrid new bag. Also, any suggestions on how to find places that I could upcycle fabrics. I really like that idea. What kind of labels do you use on your bags? What is the size of your label?
I know I have mentioned this before, but I sure wish there was somebody in the United States that could do this because what you sell in Australia most likely will not be what people will be interested in in the United States or even Canada
Hi Christine I’m am an avid supporter always watching your videos. I live in South Africa and bowl covers have been extremely popular over the past couple of months. Would you consider doing a Tutorial on how to make these?
Oh yeah, those cross body satchels are going to fly out! I made one for my mother for Christmas, she friggin loves it and everyone who has seen it over Christmas wants one now too!!!! So guess what I’ll be doing this January, making ten satchel crags 😂😂😂The big bags are my favourite, I love working with bigger pieces and mixing up the fabrics and handles to get unique looks. My opinion about the shopping bags is that more and more people are also online shopping and getting delivered, because I get the feeling the supermarkets don’t want us to come in and shop, they want you to shop online and buy their bags (amongst other reasons to keep us from coming in store). Do you think sales are down due to our current economic climate? And also what /who is your main demographic that you are marketing/selling too? I know too many questions, but I do love these quarterly sales episodes and the figures around what does and doesn’t sell. Another cracking episode! Happy New Year!
Do you ever do sets of bags? Small, medium and large in same fabric? I've done for my family for various things, and they are a hit. Maybe change up your poo bags? There are great machine embroidery designs all done in the hoop. Lined or unlined options as well.
I love these videos, thank you so much for sharing! I'm really curious on that program you use to keep track on that and how much you are selling of each product?
Interesting review this time, are sales in the shop as a whole down? Is tourism back to previous levels? Etc. I think its hard to keep up with latest make trends and products. The satchel and the bigger bags could be the way forward. Id love to see a satchel tutorial.
I follow multiple creators from around the world and all of them have reported much lower sales this year. So don't be discouraged it's something else that is impacting your sales, not your offerings.
Don't forget to factor in on your decline in sales the fact that the world economy has been in a turmoil because of what's been going on in the US with it being an election year. Here's hoping things get a lot better next year. Before you make any hard and fast decisions about dropping products from your line or decreasing prices, I would wait 3 or 4 months before taking those steps.
I think things go in cycles. People who have shopping bags now will need to replace them in the future. (Not your bags, they are made so well that they will last forever!). Love those big bags, though. I can see how they would be appealing to many, especially the tourists coming to your area.
Happy New Year with continued success! I've seen your tutorial on the shopping bag you fold up into a snap pocket or a pocket with elastic. Please repost your link. Also, don't these bags net you many sales?
Christine, I’m sure if you found the time to draft up your patterns for all your amazing items, that they would be a huge hit on Etsy. People are going to Etsy for patterns all the time. Then that’s a more passive income once you put the initial work in (which would take time). I know I’d be more than happy to pay for a pattern or 10 from you!
Is there any chance that when you do this again you can include an estimate of what you would charge if you had to pay for the fabric most of us don’t get all of this free fabric and we want to charge fairly

Yes, I'd love to see a video on the large body bags! Thank you 😊
I read that as bags for dead bodies 😂
@loumac 😂...omgosh, that's too funny! I didn't even see that I'd made a typo! 'Boxy' bags...😆
Oh my gosh..most of time my typos are just jibberish. But, this one is just too funny, of I do say so myself 🤣 that should say large 'boxy' bags!!! Oops!
@@loumac that’s immediately what I thought too! What a chuckle I had! 😂😂
I would love to see a video on the crossbody box bag. I think it would add to my knowledge of already make making the smaller boxy bags.
Christine you are so amazing. I am a teacher who retired after 26 years of teaching High School. I love your tall boxy bag as a teacher. But I'd like to make a suggestion. Excellent suggestion, I am definitely going to make that bag using your suggestions ❤
I am a teacher and absolutely agree!
Thanks for the tips. I'll make it with a pocket on the oustde😊
I always find these round ups of your year fascinating. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your content, your sewing tutorials are truly one of the best on YT. Thank you
I really do appreciate the time it takes to share this information with us!
Add my vote as a yes for the crossbody satchel video!! Thank you 😊
A video on the crossbody satchel would be amazing. Something I’d love to have a go at trying to make ❤
I always look forward to this! Cheers
You are so generous with the information you share, thank you!
Thank you for this I would love a tutorial on the satchel, happy new year Christine I hope you have a prosperous one x

YOU ARE AN INDUSTRIAL MACHINE !!! THANK YOU FOR INSPIRATION AND "CAN DO" ATTITUDE !!!❤❤❤❤❤
You are so transparent. Thanks for sharing it. I'm surprised that your sales are down. All the items look so good. Especially shopping bags. May be try selling them on Ebay. You are helping create, upcycle, and prevent things, ending up wasted. Wishing you lots more success.

I think ever-expanding diversity is important. Your (and my) products don't expire too quickly and the market gets saturated. Thank you for sharing your information with us. I love all your little bags and yes would love that tutorial on the cross bag. Karen from Texas
Yes please I would love to see , large body bags . Thankyou
I would love to see a video on the large sachets! You make the neatest things! Love love your channel!

My daughter uses the pup poo bags as a dirty diaper bag. If you make some in fun colors new moms might like them.
Of course we would love to see a video of the bag please they are a great idea for back to school along with pencil cases and notebook covers too. I hope the tourism trade has been kind to you over the past week also
Christine I would also appreciate a tutorial on the cross body satchel. I am currently starting a market stall with bags and candles.
I would love to see a video for that bag!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I love, love, love the crossbody satchel!! I'd definitely benefit from a full tutorial, 'cause I'll be making a BUNCH of them.

Sales are down at the large craft shows. It’s the economy. It seems people are buying only things they need or gifts around the holidays.
People in the US won't pay these prices, so sales will be down.
Great job. Your items are awesome. ❤🎉
Yes please make a video of the cross body satchel! Thanks for the update! Happy New Year!
Im going to make the little notebook pen holders as a bonus present for my husband whose birthday is on the 6th Jan. Before the day starts he usually makes notes of different tasks he wants to get done that day. ☺️
Love your channel. Would really appreciate a tutorial on the large cross body boxy bag.
Wow! Thanks for sharing. 🩷💐🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing Christine. Happy New Year to you and Hubby. send love from Tassie. xxx
The bags could also go on the back of a wheelchair or pram.
Pocket on would also help.
Thanks for another great video!
Happy new year!
Always enjoy your your year end video, congratulations on your sales.
I love your crossbody satchel. Please make a tutorial for these!
I love the bigger bags
Hi Christine
I’m am an avid supporter always watching your videos.
I live in South Africa and bowl covers have been extremely popular over the past couple of months.
Would you consider doing a
Tutorial on how to make these?
Yes, please do a video on the box cross body bag
Happy New Year! Congratulations on your 100K subs. That's amazing!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much 😊
@ChristinesHomeAffairs I appreciate you. I only sell a few things year. You keep me hopeful ☺️
Im subscribed, WHOOHOOO!!
YAY! Welcome to the channel😀
Thank you
You're very welcome Cynthia 😀
@12:00 the striped get bag should be called the HA Bag for Happy Accident 😊
I love these videos, thank you so much for sharing!
I'm really curious on that program you use to keep track on that and how much you are selling of each product?
Love some of these. Where about is your shop..
I'm in Nagambie, just over an hour from Melbourne. Usually open Friday, Saturday and Sundays 😀
So don't be discouraged it's something else that is impacting your sales, not your offerings.
just a thought, but that cross body satchel would be great displayed with padded laptop or tablet cover next to it. Or sell as a set. Just IMO.
That's a great idea. Thank you
Don't forget to factor in on your decline in sales the fact that the world economy has been in a turmoil because of what's been going on in the US with it being an election year.
Yes, please on the video!
Happy New Year with continued success! I've seen your tutorial on the shopping bag you fold up into a snap pocket or a pocket with elastic. Please repost your link. Also, don't these bags net you many sales?
Do you sell on line I don’t know were your shop is I’m not a sewer 😊
I do have a website Julie. stitchthis.com.au/shop/
Oooh such nice work Christine! I want to make boxy bags as gifts! Where do you get your tags that are sewn on?? TIA 😊
Lauren, I have a link to my label suppliers in the description box below each video
The problem with Etsy though is how much they take in commision
I have started writing patterns again which I now have up on my website and 😊
www.stitchthis.com.au
when did you go to 3 days a week? That can impact sales, of course. Love the soft/fuzzy fabric, btw! Happy New Year!
Yes, I forgot to mention that. It must be almost a year now 🙂
Is there any chance that when you do this again you can include an estimate of what you would charge if you had to pay for the fabric most of us don’t get all of this free fabric and we want to charge fairly
I'll try to remember that when I do my yearly report next week. If I purchase fabric, I usually double the price
@ ok thanks my dear Aussie friend 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Maybe some brighter colors would be appealing.
