It’s a good video, but if you get the right size zip I wasn’t able to fully unzip it as there was a stopper and therefore couldn’t complete the project! As couldn’t fully open the zip…

It’s a round gate ring. You can find them on AliExpress or probably Amazon. 😊
Wouldn’t it be easier to put the grommet before you sew?
Yes, I agree. At 3:55 on the video I think I would then install the grommet on one side just down from the zipper.
On boxing the corners, the vinyl is boxed at 1" across, but the fabric one is 1 3/8". Is that correct?
There’re two sizes. The 1” is for the smaller boxy pouch, 1-3/8” is for the slightly larger sized one (which I used a fabric for demo).
