- Stencils work with the sculpting tools and let you use images to apply sculpted details and features to a model. While stamps modify the tool tip of a sculpt, a stencil is associated with the viewing plane of the camera in the 3D View. You can move, rotate, or scale stencils in the 3D View as you sculpt.

Why can't more people do tutorials this straight forward and clear. No fuss. Straight to the point. Keep it up, please.
You resolved soo many problems I had working with textures as stencils. Thank you! Liked and subbed.
nice
vERY NICE TUTORIAL
i AM LUCKY TO HAVE THIS😇😇
when i click, the alpha texture is imprinted into the mesh along with the black box surrounding it. How can i prevent this and only have the texture imprinted like you have done?
Do you have a quick tip for baking the sculpt onto a low poly model? Thank you for this video.
Is there a way to smoothen the whole texture? Whenever I do this, all the results are so pixly like in the video? Thank you for the tutorial very nice!
excellent tutorial, thank you 👍
this was so so cool!
2:25 - this ALWAYS happens to me. Then I give up, thanks for clarification.
Where can I find Alpha textures or how to make some ?
where did you download the alpha textures at by chance?
Thank you guy.
but what if I'm trying to make a 3d model to print and I need the mesh to be the actual shape of what I want it to look like?
this work is possible export in STL?
Thx
Hey! All right? How do I export the stencil details in my mesh? Don't go together! ;/
You need to retopology, is that what you mean?
is it also possible to do this with jpg format, or does it have to be in psd format
You can do it with JPG but it needs to be pretty high resolution because artifacts will become more pronounced in a 3D representation. BMP or PNG is better.
