The way you perform the glitch reminds me of old video game rumours, like how you could supposedly unlock secret characters by doing some convoluted task.
Yeah finding glitches like this is just someone remembering how they did it and trying to recreate it until it works. Buuut in this particular case. No clue 😂😂😂
It always amazes me how peeps find these glitches and such, how tf would you figure out putting your talisman in the last slot of box 6 and the others to begin with lmao, Udon is built different
Honestly idk why devs don't just hire speedrunners to play test their games before release. Can guarantee they will find every fucking bug and exploit possible
a lot of these bugs and glitches work very similarly to each other behind the scenes of the game, so once you really start understanding the logic behind them, you start being able to apply the concepts between games
This video has changed my life. I live and breath flyann2 content. I have started to hibernate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays because it is simply not worth existing on days where there is no flyann content. Praise the Poog. (not glazing)
Monster Hunter lore: There is a delicate balance that must be maintained between nature and civilisation. Monster Hunter Community: T-pose and kill satan.
This reminds me so much of the 3DS VGC Pokemon Yellow shenanigans. Could make the code do an oopsie by changing items, boxes, and mons with specific stats around to change pokemons DV's and ID's, mainly so Pokebank would accept a 'legitimate' 1990's event shiny Mew
Interesting! This looks to be a case of ACE (Arbitrary Code Execution), which is possible in a lot of games, believe it or not! ACE occurs when data flags can be accessed and changed in unintended while inside a game, and the way the code is accessed is completely different in every game! In Pokemon Diamond/Platnum/Pearl, ACE is possible through a series of taking steps and changing one of the menu items and is used to allow the player to obtain mythical pokemon which encounters for are stored in the map data. (that was a rather crude and oversimplified explaination, so I'd suggest looking up a video about ACE in DPPt) Hilariously, ACE is also responsible for Missingo and other glitch pokemon/encounters and in the Gen 1 Pokemon games, as it also inolves using random pieces of data in a certain way. So basically any game with haha funny spaghetti code is a breeding ground for ACE, and it is curious to see it in such a well put together game as a Gen 3 MH game!
Yep! It's kinda funny, whenever I see an ACTUAL glitch that has seemingly random, entirely unintuitive steps I instantly go, "Ah, must be ACE." I was right for this one too. 😆
I'm six minutes in and I am distincly reminded of the bizarre GCN "Gotcha Force" glitch, the "20th force glitch", where putting a character in a specific spot in the 20th team preset would fill all empty slots in your inventory with various glitched characters. It was a whole research project for the community to obtain characters with impossible levels or glitched parameters. Or crash the game.
hey this is a really great video, i studied this glitch myself at the time of the release of the speedrun video, was able to get it working sadly at the time i was struggling to document as my computer sucks so i kinda forgot about it, but this is way better than i could ever do it, good stuff man!
we need to get some kind of MH glitch compilation i swear in tri once i had a great jaggi get 'confused' at me when i used a gesture and it didn't attack me, like it literally tilted its head and question marks appeared above it. But all these years i've never seen it mentioned or recorded anywhere or managed to get it to happen to me again to the point where im not sure if i hallucinated it or something. i would very much love to know if someone had something similar or not happen to them
The glitch that enables this is oddly similar to the "20th Force Glitch" Gotcha Force has that lets you access dummied out characters by putting specific things in specific slots in your inventory. Wonder if the same programmer at Capcom worked on both games...
This reminds me of MHWI's Wyrmstake/Meowcano dupe glitch where you use Snowmen and Mega Barrel Bombs to duplicate the amount of damaging particles, the Meowcano being capable of effectively one shotting Fatalis from under a Ghillie Mantle.
reminds me of a very famous destiny 2 glitch that let you craft weapons with perks from other weapons by choosing a weapon to craft and very quickly clicking on a different weapon before the menu loaded
giggi is like a skarner in league - you cant remove it, you cant change it, you cant do anything about it. It is just a God, a primordial being, hardcoded into the game and in the very existence, a weaver of fate and destiny, the Creator.
I like to imagine the montser just see you t pose an are like- T pose Hunter: **t poses into the ground** Rathalos: IM HERE TO END YOU HUNT- no WAIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING NO GET AWAY **fall on his side** AAAAAAAAA-! no stop THIS BLACK MAGIC STOP DOMINATING MEEEE!!!! AAAA-! **Dead NO BIG SUPRISED** t pose hunter: **turns an look slowly walking to the monster** Rathian: WHO ARE YOU YOU MONSTER!?! AAAA-! **Will be right back after these commercials....**
I see now. It seems the glitch is a form of "Arbitrary Code Execution". I have seen it used in Super Mario World to inject code into the game and force it to do things it would not normally do, like creating a red and black pipe that leads straight to the ending, or more extremely, to turn SMW into Flappy Bird and Pokemon into Tetris. What I hadn't seen before is ACE being used in a modern game. It's usually only seen in third to fifth generation console games because they're far less sensitive to crashing when things go weird, and as their coding is less complex, the steps needed to use ACE are simpler.
I hope that water combat comes back I loved fighting all the aquatic/semi-aquatic monsters I hope in the new monster hunter game it might come back but that’s just hopeful wishing
Ah, it's like rng manipulation in the pokemon community! By placing items, pokemon, and their moved in specific spots, you can force spawn certain pokemon with stats and abilities you want. In even older games, people have been able to practically rewrite the game with only glitches like the one you detail Very cool. I love that this is just a thing you can do in games
thats arbitrary code execution, not rng manipulation ! though you can achieve similar things with rng manip. as a general rule, if it isnt possible for that thing to randomly happen if you get lucky, it cannot be rng manip, because rng manip is just making the lucky thing happen.
It looks a lot like glitchy Pokemon nonsense because its using similar fundamentals, manipulation of memory values by accessing illegal spaces and values within player control
Would this glitch still work if you did a save file transfer to the wii u version? The UI on the wii u version has the glitch patched out like the english version I imagine, but I wonder if setting it up on the 3ds and then transferring it to the Wii U would work.

how does one even BEGIN to figure this out lmao
by realizing the glitch to access out of bounds armor set can allow one to manipulate memory, and tons of hours on exploring and testing
Yeah finding glitches like this is just someone remembering how they did it and trying to recreate it until it works.
Buuut in this particular case. No clue 😂😂😂

This confirms that T-posing is asserting dominace 😂
In-universe, the npcs watched a hunter re-organize their wardrobe, and then were struck by the sudden knowledge that they mass slaughter giggis
This literally looks like you sacrifice Gigis and do some forbidden ancient rituals to get the power to slay dragons in no time lmao
This is straight-up Gen 1 Pokemon glitches! You're going out of bounds from editable memory to change other values in the game.
It always amazes me how peeps find these glitches and such, how tf would you figure out putting your talisman in the last slot of box 6 and the others to begin with lmao, Udon is built different

It wasn’t a 1990’s event Mew, GF Mew was a distro that was held in Japan after VC’s release for a contest.
Thats not even 3DS nonsense, thats just Gen1 in general, aside from the online elements, all that shit worked on GB
This takes asserting dominance to a whole new level
