The customization is so in-depth in Rise, you can literally just make your own AoT set (minus the mobility gear). It’s not as great as the official thing, but it works.

monster hunter just changing skins model, u can't use the real ability of their collabs. the gameplay still the same. but when i saw the fortnite trailer, u can really play as collaboration events. like thanos ability, spider-man ability, etc.

Monster Hunter has been so wildly successful in Japan for quite a while, long before its successes in the West. They had entire Monster Hunter themed cafe's in some cities! As far as advertising goes, it doesn't surprise me that so many brands would want in on one of the biggest game series in the country.
Seeing the collabs in MH frontier and Generations makes me sad for missing them out. But watching Big boss fighting a tigrex does bring back good memories.

For Kapubon, I looked through some Japanese websites and found some information about it: - It is a collaboration equipment of Capcom's official information magazine "カプ本" (Capbon). - It looks just like "Kapubon" which is the official mascot character of Capbon. - Curly hair (?) is the charm point. - According to description, he likes hamburgers. I don't speak Japanese, mostly just used machine translation and my limited knowledge of a bit of Japanese to infer the information, but quite sure this is roughly correct except for the curly hair part.
The context for the Silver spoon collab is that its a manga about a city kid going to an agricultural school out in the countryside. That's why the hunting horn makes farm animal noises.
I’m really disappointed that there was never a collab with Dark Souls or another FromSoft title. Imagine fighting monsters as Solair with a special sword and shield, or as Bloodborne’s Eileen the Crow with her Blade of Mercy as dual blades.

Honestly the monster hunter missions in peacewalker are really fun. Taking down a rathalos non-lethally is a challenge. The fact they also made an entirely new monster just for metal gear is amazing.

MH4U Star knight armor was so broken when it came out but so damn fun. I remember everybody running around with it mounting monsters left & right, the poor things never had a chance.
speaking of colabs, Theres one colab that completely changed me. I would have never gotten into Final Fantasy 14 if it wasnt because of Monster Hunter World's cross over. I even had it come full circle and got the Rathalos Mount in ffxiv! Things to note about the stuff you get in MHW, The jump emote is a replica of Dragoons "High Jump" ability. the Drachen Mail armor is the poster armor from FFXIV's base game A realm Reborn, the Gae Bolg is ARR's Relic weapon, the kinsect is actually the same model used for the Dragoon Limit Break 3 which i find amazing!

I think the Colossal Titan Deviljho would actually be a good in-lore monster, the end result of a Deviljho losing more and more of its skin as its muscles swell from rage. Also, the Metroid collab was also in MHX/XX. In fact, the Arm Cannon was one of the best Light Bowguns in the game. It was one of the few bowguns to have access to the powerful Dazzling S, which was notable for its high damage, minimal recoil and reload speed and extremely long critical distance. Other bowguns had Dazzling, but the Arm Cannon had it on Rapid Fire and its final version packed a whopping 22 shots worth of the ammo, while the rest didn't even have double digits worth of it. Not to mention that it had Thunder S LV1 and Freeze Shot LV1 on Rapid as well.
the Sonic collab in MHR includes an event were you collect rings in the Shrine Ruins for the armor sets and it's even accompanied with sound effects for the rings and Escape from the City as the BGM, it's pretty neat
Please keep making videos i love mh and your content, you make fun interesting videos that deserve more views. These videos bring to attention some of the most fun and wacky things about this wonderful series, whether a mh title made by from soft, or the historical aspects of the game like the water video. Forgot to mention the special music for the Sonic collabs that played during the quests in Rise (Live and Learn being for Nargacuga), as well as the statues you can earn from the Ring collection quest
The reason the Seven deadly sins collab has an invisible shield is because Meliodas can basically deflect anything, so yeah, you block with your hand, no shield needed
Inuyasha's sword was in Tri in the US ver but a code to get it the right way was never put in the game because all weapons in monster hunter games and armors are in the game day one but the rewards are not released until the event gives them as a reward
I died a little everytime you pronounced gunso like "gun-so" lmao. Also since you mentioned and showed MGS Collab side, I wished you showed the PSO2 side of collab. In PSO2 (at least in JP server) you get fight Elzelion in his arena in Burning Frost quest, limited to 3 carts, and you get to carve his tail if you cut it. Honestly pretty amazing fight.

Bro the final fantasy one made you fight a NEW monster with NEW mechanics. Same thing with the Witcher one but you were playing as Geralt with voice lines and stuff. That's pretty extreme if you ask me 😂

i have some ideas for a potential next one piece crossover: Heavy bowgun that looks like the thousand sunny, a light bowgun that looks like the going merry, Brook as a hunting horn that, when activated, plays parts of binks sake or just "YOHOHOHO" A greatsword that looks like Mihawks sword, Prometheus and Napoleon as sword and shield, A hammer that looks like a kanabō, Tonfas (if they ever get brought back) that look like Jinbeis hands, either as palms or as fists, The cook being replaced by Sanji himself, or the blacksmith by Franky when equipping certain items, An elephant-tuna-meat ingridient that was gifted "by some yellow-haired cook with weird eyebrows".
I miss the really goofy collab, and I wish we could get new Famicom, Dengeki or Jump armor and weapons, since they're always really cool. Also it would be really nice to see in main game serie collab monsters like in Explore
One thing I thought was neat about the MGS collab with Portable 3rd is that the quest for the armor specifically had the MGS:PW alert sound effects, boss music, and a friggin huge Nibelsnarf to top it all off lol

It's so weird that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak only has 7 collaborations with 2 being outside the company. I understand licensing can be a pain and that Nintendo won't put their IPs on other systems, but there's so much they can do collab wise especially with the inclusion of wirebugs
Yeah, not being able to do Nintendo IP collabs is no excuse to not have tons of other collabs with non-Nintendo properties (such as what makes up most of the collabs in this video). Dunno what’s going on but it’s a bummer.

In gen/u(cross) For Baki there was also an armor and the dual blades named "Baki combat jutsu". You also forgot the event palicoes, they were named after their franchises and had unique skills: the Zelda palico had the skill Triforce which highly boosted both attack and defense the nekojiro(Jujiro) has the skills "The strongest", while not wearing an armor it boosted the attack stat to obscene levels. Saddly the event palicoes aren't optaineable directly on GU, they have to be obtained through an imported save file from the base game on the 3ds or by trading with someone that already had them.
I know it probably wouldn't happen but it'd be hilarious to see a Kingdom Hearts collab. Where you have to fight the giant ass lycan heartless from KH2's beast castle world. To unlock a keyblade Longsword or duel blade keyblades.

I don’t know if you mentioned it or not, but the Rocket Greatsword from monster Hunter world was also a big event wielding a big greatsword with a rocket animation. Was actually drawn and won in a competition I believe.
Only negative about Akuma costume in MH Rise is the voice lines are lifted directly from SFV, they didn't bother to rerecord anything so Akuma would say anything related to monsters, he just grunts which is fine. However in SFV Akuma doesn't have any voice clip that sounds like eating, so they pitched down some random eating sound effects.
I honestly believe that they have gotten lazy with their collab side, not sure if its licensing issue or what not but look at MHW for example not a lot of collabs and the most surprising collab they had was Witcher 3 and FF14.

Unlike creating a new skin from the scratch pretty sure the work they had to put just to transfer that skin isn't as much since they also had Ryu from the past. Assassin's hood has a hidden mechanic probably not many people know: Start sprinting from crouch. If you have the AC hood on you will spring into a dash that normally doesn't happen

The title, Silver Spoon, refers not only to the protagonist's upbringing of being raised in a wealthy family but also relates to the school motto itself and hard work on a farm. Additionally; the animation, music, and story are very well done and have always been a personal favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the anime was canceled due to its niche popularity but the manga is complete, though english localization can be difficult to track down for the entire series.
I really can't stress enough how much I enjoyed Iceborns FF & Witcher collabs! Just amazing stuff with so much effort put into them and the fights were terrifying!

I think there's a decent chance that 22:42 is actually a Kill La Kill reference since Mako wears a similar outfit while being in charge of the Fight Club (hence the Pet Club name). She also wears the traditional sandals used as the palico weapon. Additionally the embellishments and weapons for the outfit in the anime are a similar metallic gold as to the palico outfit and the lining is also reddish in the anime. The timing works out too, Kill La Kill aired in Fall 2013 basically exactly a year before MH4G was released. Could be a mix of several things though, including jojo

17:44 as everyone knows, i’m a huge Kapubon lore master (i was really curious so i did some quick digging lol). apparently Capcom had their own magazine called Kapubon (literally “Cap” from Capcom + “books”) that published game info and manga based on their IPs. it’s odd though, because even in Japanese i can’t find much info very easily. also, the latest volume i can find is volume 6, which also seems like the volume that had what was necessary to unlock this outfit, so it seems like the magazine ended pretty quickly? either way, the outfit is of the mascot, also named Kapubon, and as an aside, i found the JP item description which says “it seems his favorite thing is hamburgers”

Monster Hunter has been so wildly successful in Japan for quite a while, long before its successes in the West. They had entire Monster Hunter themed cafe's in some cities! As far as advertising goes, it doesn't surprise me that so many brands would want in on one of the biggest game series in the country.

For Kapubon, I looked through some Japanese websites and found some information about it:
- It is a collaboration equipment of Capcom's official information magazine "カプ本" (Capbon).
- It looks just like "Kapubon" which is the official mascot character of Capbon.
- Curly hair (?) is the charm point.
- According to description, he likes hamburgers.
I don't speak Japanese, mostly just used machine translation and my limited knowledge of a bit of Japanese to infer the information, but quite sure this is roughly correct except for the curly hair part.
I remember my middle-school best friend had a Magi phase. She would’ve loved those collabs.

The context for the Silver spoon collab is that its a manga about a city kid going to an agricultural school out in the countryside. That's why the hunting horn makes farm animal noises.

I’m really disappointed that there was never a collab with Dark Souls or another FromSoft title. Imagine fighting monsters as Solair with a special sword and shield, or as Bloodborne’s Eileen the Crow with her Blade of Mercy as dual blades.

Honestly the monster hunter missions in peacewalker are really fun. Taking down a rathalos non-lethally is a challenge. The fact they also made an entirely new monster just for metal gear is amazing.

Silver Spoon is a series about this city boy running away to Hokkaido, eventually learning about farming. Hence the farm-related noises.

I think the Colossal Titan Deviljho would actually be a good in-lore monster, the end result of a Deviljho losing more and more of its skin as its muscles swell from rage.
Also, the Metroid collab was also in MHX/XX. In fact, the Arm Cannon was one of the best Light Bowguns in the game. It was one of the few bowguns to have access to the powerful Dazzling S, which was notable for its high damage, minimal recoil and reload speed and extremely long critical distance. Other bowguns had Dazzling, but the Arm Cannon had it on Rapid Fire and its final version packed a whopping 22 shots worth of the ammo, while the rest didn't even have double digits worth of it. Not to mention that it had Thunder S LV1 and Freeze Shot LV1 on Rapid as well.
the Sonic collab in MHR includes an event were you collect rings in the Shrine Ruins for the armor sets and it's even accompanied with sound effects for the rings and Escape from the City as the BGM, it's pretty neat
Please keep making videos i love mh and your content, you make fun interesting videos that deserve more views. These videos bring to attention some of the most fun and wacky things about this wonderful series, whether a mh title made by from soft, or the historical aspects of the game like the water video. I respect your dedication and love for the series. You have a true fan in me.

Forgot to mention the special music for the Sonic collabs that played during the quests in Rise (Live and Learn being for Nargacuga), as well as the statues you can earn from the Ring collection quest
The reason the Seven deadly sins collab has an invisible shield is because Meliodas can basically deflect anything, so yeah, you block with your hand, no shield needed

Inuyasha's sword was in Tri in the US ver but a code to get it the right way was never put in the game because all weapons in monster hunter games and armors are in the game day one but the rewards are not released until the event gives them as a reward

Also since you mentioned and showed MGS Collab side, I wished you showed the PSO2 side of collab. In PSO2 (at least in JP server) you get fight Elzelion in his arena in Burning Frost quest, limited to 3 carts, and you get to carve his tail if you cut it. Honestly pretty amazing fight.

I don’t think World goes in that convo. Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Residents Evil, Witcher, plus whatever I’m forgetting. Definitely doesn’t compare to GU ofc but World was pretty good. 😊

Bro the final fantasy one made you fight a NEW monster with NEW mechanics. Same thing with the Witcher one but you were playing as Geralt with voice lines and stuff. That's pretty extreme if you ask me 😂

Heavy bowgun that looks like the thousand sunny, a light bowgun that looks like the going merry,
Brook as a hunting horn that, when activated, plays parts of binks sake or just "YOHOHOHO"
A greatsword that looks like Mihawks sword,
Prometheus and Napoleon as sword and shield,
A hammer that looks like a kanabō,
Tonfas (if they ever get brought back) that look like Jinbeis hands, either as palms or as fists,
The cook being replaced by Sanji himself, or the blacksmith by Franky when equipping certain items,
An elephant-tuna-meat ingridient that was gifted "by some yellow-haired cook with weird eyebrows".
Really a shame that we may not get the really cool collabs in the future. *ALL the more reason to play MHGU* !

It's so weird that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak only has 7 collaborations with 2 being outside the company. I understand licensing can be a pain and that Nintendo won't put their IPs on other systems, but there's so much they can do collab wise especially with the inclusion of wirebugs
Yeah, not being able to do Nintendo IP collabs is no excuse to not have tons of other collabs with non-Nintendo properties (such as what makes up most of the collabs in this video). Dunno what’s going on but it’s a bummer.

In gen/u(cross) For Baki there was also an armor and the dual blades named "Baki combat jutsu".
You also forgot the event palicoes, they were named after their franchises and had unique skills:
the Zelda palico had the skill Triforce which highly boosted both attack and defense
the nekojiro(Jujiro) has the skills "The strongest", while not wearing an armor it boosted the attack stat to obscene levels.
Saddly the event palicoes aren't optaineable directly on GU, they have to be obtained through an imported save file from the base game on the 3ds or by trading with someone that already had them.
And all this time, I thought Yo-Kai Watch's collabs were insane. This goes even deeper.

Only negative about Akuma costume in MH Rise is the voice lines are lifted directly from SFV, they didn't bother to rerecord anything so Akuma would say anything related to monsters, he just grunts which is fine. However in SFV Akuma doesn't have any voice clip that sounds like eating, so they pitched down some random eating sound effects.
I honestly believe that they have gotten lazy with their collab side, not sure if its licensing issue or what not but look at MHW for example not a lot of collabs and the most surprising collab they had was Witcher 3 and FF14.

Unlike creating a new skin from the scratch pretty sure the work they had to put just to transfer that skin isn't as much since they also had Ryu from the past. Also other than Goss Harag and Narwa Serpent have you notice any new monster using a new skeletal structure for the past couple of games? Yep. Lazy. (Don't get me wrong I fucking love MH I had around 1k hours on every game and around 2k hours on Iceborne.)

Start sprinting from crouch. If you have the AC hood on you will spring into a dash that normally doesn't happen
16:13 Silver spoon was a manga/anime about a city kid who goes to an agricultural school and sees what farmlife is like. The title, Silver Spoon, refers not only to the protagonist's upbringing of being raised in a wealthy family but also relates to the school motto itself and hard work on a farm.
Additionally; the animation, music, and story are very well done and have always been a personal favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the anime was canceled due to its niche popularity but the manga is complete, though english localization can be difficult to track down for the entire series.

I really can't stress enough how much I enjoyed Iceborns FF & Witcher collabs! Just amazing stuff with so much effort put into them and the fights were terrifying!
This month we had a Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crises X Monster Hunter with a small story mission, battling Rathalos, and armor and weapons for Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and Zack
I think there's a decent chance that 22:42 is actually a Kill La Kill reference since Mako wears a similar outfit while being in charge of the Fight Club (hence the Pet Club name). She also wears the traditional sandals used as the palico weapon. Additionally the embellishments and weapons for the outfit in the anime are a similar metallic gold as to the palico outfit and the lining is also reddish in the anime. The timing works out too, Kill La Kill aired in Fall 2013 basically exactly a year before MH4G was released. Could be a mix of several things though, including jojo
