This feature could be helpful in getting other drivers attention by having the car automatically flash the brake lights during a hard/panic stop. It could mean the difference between getting getting the other driver's attention! #bimmercode #bmwx5

I don’t think so live in Canada and have never seen this before I was taught to do it manually to let people behind me know there is a hazard but can’t do that when you actually have to brake hard
I think it’s mandatory for all new cars to have that as teslas there have that aswell.
It’s illegal in the US. That’s why, from what I could find, flashing brake lights are “Too distracting.”
I thought of this warning flashing brake light idea back in 2000 and contacted every major car manufacturer and electronics company, along with the national highway safety patrol in the US. I was 20 at the time, and all I wanted was for safer roads and less accidents. I even contacted insurance companies and told them about the way it could save them money with fewer crashes on the road. All I wanted monetarily was $5 for every new car sold with this technology. Now, i find out this became a reality! Any lawyers out there know if I have any grounds for any type of suit since i massed mailed my idea out to just about every company?
This needs to be required for American cars ! Considering how horrible drivers are here …

Instead I see the distracting aftermarket pulsing 3rd brake light that’s annoying to follow in stop and go traffic.

I removed my flashing brake light system. About half the cars behind me turned on their bright lights, day or night. It just wasn't worth it. Drivers would also get VERY aggressive to get in front of me.
For this to worth effectively, I have set my braking to flash at HARD braking instead of the medium which is too sensitive. So the only time it should flash is when I’m nearly standing on the brakes.

I used your settings for the BFD (hard force and 5 m/s), but could not tell checking from my rear view mirror at night so…

Do you get a warning message, if this is activated. Something like. Lighting error, drive careful. Make sure it safe to continue…. Then back to normal.

My reading of the forums is that you can't get flashing brake lights on the North American G series BMWs without changing the tail light assembly to the European version, that on NA Gx you can code brighter tail lights on hard braking but it won't flash. Anyone know if this is correct or tried to code flashing brake lights on a g-series BMW? (I think this video has the F15?)
Yes, this is the F85! I haven’t tried a G chassis car to see what the difference is.

No remote start. No available on the F15. Remote start wasn’t available until the 2020 models via BMW app.

In Europe, every newish car comes with this as standard. If not strobing brake lights, then at the very least hazzard lights. It's very useful 👍

I mean to illuminate the bends from the fog light when turning the steering wheel, it works probably up to 20-30 km / h, I know that you can code in BimmerCode but I do not know where to look and I do not want to mix something up

Do you have to go into expert mode, because from what I could see it's under two sections, front electronic module and rear but it's not under expert mode...
It depends on the car. On my F80 I don’t have to go under expert mode but the F85 I do.

Your videos are excellent, but you talk too much. In some cases it would save a lot of time if you just get right to.
The best advice I can give you is to skip forward.
I explained the features, the purpose, and why you would need this. While some people already know what this is. Others do not. Either way, it was all in a 10-minute video. 😯
This is how I see it Eugene...You know the reason for this that's why you want to get right to it. Some people don't know the reason for this so they appreciate the explanation why you need this done.
I appreciate the feedback. Perhaps in the future I could add chapter markers for those would like to skip to the “meat and potatoes” so to speak.

so it works with the us tail light, but it lit up different part
Yes. That part lights up factory during hard braking by default but you can barely see it. Not as noticeable like some other BMW models.
