I've watched a ton of Bimmercode 'How To' videos, and this by far is the most detailed and easily explained version. Great job sir! Can't wait for my scanner to arrive. Thank you.
Swapped out my 2017 M2 taillights for the 2018 full LED taillights. Used the app and the UBD link MX+ to fix the brake light error code. Also coded the mirrors to open and close when locking/unlocking doors. Awesome!
I have watched a ton of videos on bimmer code. And I am tired of every single video telling me I can have the mirrors fold. This is the most detailed and will explained video on the app. And I appreciate it, you, sir, have earned a follow. Thank you, and keep up the great work.
Well said Sir! Perfect - EXACTLY what I thought. Watching too many vids as I wait for my 540i build (Dec 2024 delivery) and this gentleman hit the mark! Folding mirrors for all of the other clowns. Really? So much more....
Hey man, I just wanted to thank you, for taking the time to make these videos. I just picked up a 2020 440i and I have you to thank for it. I'm really proud of the community and general, and even more proud to say we now have one more 😉
Thank you brother for taking the time out to do this amazingly detailed video. The best on Bimmercode by MILES ! I'm buying my license thanks to your detailed explanation.
Great vid lots of extra details, I had same issue, I did not hit the stop twice on my X3 and idrive kept music going...if I had Sat radio it would have stopped, (blocked by garage) but power stayed on and kill battery. Great tips!
Can you turn off the annoying "Driver Assistance Limited. Eye detection" camera? Driving with my hand on top of the wheel triggers a warning, and I glance away from exactly straight ahead. I look at my mirrors often and notices constantly pop up. I need to continually take my eyes off the windshield to remove the notices.
It's where the sensors in front of the car will be able to tell when a car is approaching you, so your headlights will split the beams around the car so you don't blind them.
Happy user of Bimmercode here, but worth to mention that a common issue for years is when you activate fullscreen carplay/Android mirror through another tool; Bimmercode cannot access the headunit anymore never ever. No solution provided yet bij supplier.
hello Thanks for your video. Is there a cost to use all these videos and can you use this software to code a new head unit if you want to install a new head unit and CID screen with apply car play. thank you
what about the OBD alarm on rogue devices plugged into OBD port ? is bimmer code doing also all the features of bimmer link ? or you need to buy both ?
Hey quick question BimmerCode and bimmer link do they change the code on DME or just the modules have dme unlocked and tuned. Don’t want to change that code.
Thanks. Thank you also for all the content you put I have learned a lot form your videos. And your detailed knowledge of Bmw and automobiles in general.
I don’t think I may be getting at the right thing but it’s kind of related. I installed a aftermarket MMI unit for Apple car play and now when I connect to bummer code it takes about 50 attempts, sometimes I have to disconnect my radio completely then it works and connects. Also same thing for then BMW dealerships need to read my codes on my car, disconnect the radio otherwise they can’t read them.
From what I have read on numerous posts. Yes. It doesn't seem to like bimmercode. However other coding apps which are not as user friendly seem to work. In two minds with mine.
hi, there is Bimmercode desktop app for windows, what are limitations of this? i dont need iOS or android i just can use windows and USB DCAN cable but i can see nothing on this topic on internet. is it free if you use desktop app?
On my 440, keeping high beams on with fogs is amazing when driving down really dark roads. Also disabling side markers to clean up the look at night 👌🏾
Does anyone know if the bluetooth volume can be fixed on bimmercode? Ive always noticed since getting it that the radio at a normal level sounds normal, i then go over on to bluetooth spotify and idrive volume hasnt changed, phones volume is maxed, but it is significantly quieter
I don't see any options for that but there is one for volume adjustment based on speed. Maybe try turning that on. It makes it slightly louder as you drive faster to compensate for road noise etc
Does the app need an internet connection to run? Cuz I bought a Wi-Fi adapter so my iPad will be connected to the vgate network so how will it work this is so stressful 😂😂
Bimmercode recommends using an OBDLink CX Bluetooth Adapter. Buy Yours Here: amzn.to/3PC3uIE
Hello. Thanks for the video.
A quick one, can I use this on the X3 2014 model

Without a doubt, this is the best Bimmercode video on TH-cam.

thanks for watching

Bonus footage at 26:10 for anyone that watches that long haha

Thanks a lot for the detailed video. Cheers 🎉
Do you need to purchase the full version to be able to code?
And relax…..
Great job big man
Thanks. This was took forever lmao
Thinking of fitting an mmi box but worried if bimmercode will still work. Want android auto instead of screen mirroring
g
GREAT VIDEO MAN, THANKS A LOT

I can help with some custom coding, euro anti dazzle and variable light display is cool. I think protool is a much better coding app though.
Yeah all personal preference but this is very convenient to access coding options anywhere
@@kern417 the only complaint I have about BimmerCode is that it doesn’t access all modules like ISTA/ESYS or protool.
How can you code anti-dazzle?
@@TJZTechShowwhat the heck is antidazzle

There is a solution, request the support team to get beta access and you are good to go
@@sowbener thanks, do you know when it will not be beta anymore? I can wait
@@bmw440mppsk6 no clue have bimmercode have been beta for a very long time
@@sowbener Bimmercode beta?
You can now access the head unit
I replaced my drls in my 2023 330i and they flash twice and went out,can i code them and get them to work using bimmer code?
I’ve tried expert mode and regular mode but neither seem to get the easy exit working on my 18 430i coupe. Any ideas?
hello Thanks for your video. Is there a cost to use all these videos and can you use this software to code a new head unit if you want to install a new head unit and CID screen with apply car play. thank you
the app costs money to use and i'm not sure about setting up a new head unit
Thank you. Sorry the videos in my text should have said the app. So to code anything you need to pay for the app to code your vehicle then. 🙏
what about the OBD alarm on rogue devices plugged into OBD port ?
is bimmer code doing also all the features of bimmer link ? or you need to buy both ?
Don't leave it plugged in when you're done coding. They do 2 different things.
Thanks, it was really helpful
took me a while to get used to hitting start button twice lol now i feel like just once would screw me up
Trust me. I got used to it very quickly 😅
Great video!
Hey quick question BimmerCode and bimmer link do they change the code on DME or just the modules have dme unlocked and tuned. Don’t want to change that code.
It won't affect dme lock status
Thank you for the quick response. Will it affect the code that is on the DME currently?
Code and tune are two separate things. You can code a locked dme and it does nothing to the tune.
Thanks. Thank you also for all the content you put I have learned a lot form your videos. And your detailed knowledge of Bmw and automobiles in general.
@@Wil129-f1g glad to help
I do not see the fem module on my e91, 2011 lci. So I can not code for led bulbs to ignore errors in bimmercode.
Hi, do you know if the remote engine start can be activated with the bimmer code?
i don't believe so but i don't have that option on my car
Remote start is illegal in Europe so the only vehicle that have that option is the newest versions here in the USA
Would you need a battery charger for this or no
it's not a bad idea to have one, especially if your battery is old and hasn't been charged/driven recently, but i didn't use one
No buddy. You don't.
I don't have a folding mirror switch...can I able to activate it with bimmercode using the key fob?
No. If your car doesn’t have folding mirrors, the mod won’t work
How can I purchase OBD scanner
Amazon. Link in bio.
Great info

i am not aware of a desktop app so i can't comment on that. bimmerlink only makes a phone app.
Thanks great vodeo

you need internet initially then you can connect to the dongle, but there are somethings you can do in offline mode
