      You're welcome, glad you enjoyed! You would have to check if it's an available service via the ConnectedDrive store. You can do this through the MyBMW app.

    You mentioned registration with the first point (compensator). Mine doesn't work quite well.... Do I need to register somewhere..? I'm in Europe. Thanks

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure how it may be different in Europe, but you would register it through your wireless service provider. If you call them, they should be able to give you the proper steps. To be frank though, I'm not sure if this feature exists in non-NA market cars, as features do vary quite a bit from market to market. But, that's how it works in the USA at least.

    wow....a plethora of vids on the net about "hidden features" you didn't know about your BMW but this one was impressive. As a car enthusiast and X7 M50i owner I was pleasantly surprised. 4 out of 5 I did not know. Thank you for posting.

    Tip #4: ice/snow - is it possible to start the window defrost from my office 10” before I head to the parking lot so that ice is already loose and melting?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The remote start/pre-ventilation function will activate whatever climate settings were active when the car was last turned off. So yes, just leave the defroster on when you turn the car off, then when you remote start it, the defroster will turn on.

    I like the auto roll down window feature at a given location.

      It can be a nice thing to have, even if totally redundant with the standard window switches.

    Is there a voice command to just roll all the windows down a very small amount say if you want to allow a little airflow when parked on a hot day.

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! You can either tell the Personal Assistant to roll the window down completely, or halfway.

    hi I have an x5 g05, I don't understand why every time I open my sunroof it doesn't open completely, it opens but leaves a little bit more where I have to press again because it just opens the last bit

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is by design -- for wind noise. The theory is that wind noise is minimized when the sunroof opens only to that first point.

    The voice command to roll down my window did not work in my 2020 X3 XDRIVE30E with I drive 7 ☹️. The car responded with something like that feature is currently unavailable try again later.

      It may not work on all models or in all countries. Certain countries have different regulations regarding what voice control can and can't do.

    I just bought my first BMW this year, a X6 2024. I love the car but what shocking to me was that the wireless charger is NOT fit for the big iPhones (Max), yet in 2024. It does not align properly with it and it just heats up the phone a lot and does not charge it. Very disappointing.

    So why would you roll down your windows by pressing, talking and waiting for it to understand instead of just pressing a single button? Haha

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well, you probably wouldn't, to be honest :) But it's a neat feature nonetheless.

      You don’t need press a button before giving a voice command. This is useful for blind drivers.

    With the windshield wipers he’s wrong because on the 3 series you have to press the start button into accessory mode and then hold it up not down.
