Hey everyone, thanks so much for joining to watch this week’s video LIVE (even when the football’s on! Bad planning on my part 😅 Message me in the live chat at the top of the page for an almost instant reply! ⬆
Hey nick question I have a 2021C300 and I like the new ambient light colour that they have now is there a app or a website that I can get those newer colours for my car ?
Hey 67pooch, sadly no all of the colours are set by Mercedes at their factory. I think it’s also a limitation of the multimedia system that gives the command too
Once again, thanks for your help. Saving the current location was my favourite. It’s getting to the point where Mercedes-Benz dealers should set up classes in how to do stuff. It could even generate sales for them.
No worries! I’m hoping to do some more tips and tricks and tutorials soon, but I’ll happily keep them coming as long as people enjoy them and my local Mercedes continue to let me film stuff there!
Hey Nick, you're a legend!! Thanks for all your vids, keep them coming. I found yesterday, if you're sitting in the passenger seat, and call up Hey Mercedes, and request to turn on heated seat, mercedes knows the voice came from the passenger seat and will enable passenger seat heating!!! Bloody awesome..
Thank you for your videos! By the the time I left the dealer with my first Mercedes I had forgotten 90% of the things he told me about all the features lol. That first drive home was quite interesting to say the least. Love my GLC 300 and will be a Mercedes buyer for life!!
I honestly learned something…..lol thank you. I have a GLE 450 AMG and it’s different from my BMW that I previously owned. It’s so many tricks to the Mercedes.
OK, so I'm like retired, got an old Golf, Well I say old, it's 6, 2018. No idea how I got to your channel, but I've watched (and liked) about half a dozen, all this shht is just blowing my mind ! I thought my Golf was good 'cos it hooked up to my phone... Thinking of trading in... ! These vid's are so good, informative, interesting, mind blowing.... Thnx, you deserve a pay rise !!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them! If only I was actually paid by Mercedes to make these 😅 I work for myself producing these videos here on TH-cam 🤓 Got another Mercedes dropping this Friday and probably the week after that as well 🙏 I need to visit my local dealer actually and see if they any more cars in or topics I could film!
MBUX vocal commands are great, they can turn on/off A/C, de-ice windscreen and close air recirculation so you can avoid the smell from the truck exhaust in front of you without touching anything :)
Hi Nick - just picked up another tip from this vid - touching the door handle to close all windows & roof - you were absolutely right…. I didn’t know that 😂👍
I’m waiting on my CLA 200 to be delivered from the factory, glad I found this channel, my first Mercedes’ so I have no clue about the mbux system. Cheers!
Brilliant nick..i picked up a fab cla..35..2weeks ago...and your videos have proved very useful..got everything set to how i want it ..got used to the steering wheel controls too...great fun...many thanks gazz
Thanks for your videos - I'm learning so much about my A250 hybrid - you're a star. I'm semi-retiring now after 25 years as a painter decorator - and my daily drives have been work vans - this is my first luxury saloon for that time and I'm loving it. I never thought I was that bothered about cars - until I got this! Just gotta get to grips with android auto (which is a bit clunky) and I'll be sorted!
Possibly! It’ll most likely have the first park assist video I made on my channel, sorry I started my channel in 2020 so have limited coverage on cars before that :( Depends on the specification of the car though but I would have thought so
Hey Nick, thank you so much for all your tips and tricks!! Owner since 2 weeks of a brand new GLA 250e, I'm so glad I discovered your TH-cam channel! Even if English is not my native tongue (I'm a Belgian living in France), you manage to explain everything so clearly that it is completely understandable for me! One day I was nearly mistaken by asking "Hey Nick" in stead of "Hey, Mercedes "😀 ! Hope you will never stop telling us all the "secrets" of this wonderful car! Have a nice day!
So glad this video popped up while I was searching for something totally different. I’m waiting on my 2024 GLC300 to arrive from the factory and am a little intimidated with all the features and technology. I subscribed to your channel for tips so I know what I’m doing when my suv arrives. Thanks so much!
Hey Nick, thank you very much for your tips & tricks. I‘m driving a Mercedes A250e since 2021 and didn‘t know that the MBUX can display text messages 😊. Carry on! Greetings from Germany, Stefan
Hi Nick, greetings from Italy. Getting my new GLE 400d 4MATIC Premium Plus AMG line in few weeks. Thanks for all the info you’re providing us, simply amazing.
Nick, yes that is exactly it. What happens is when you hit the 10k miles It triggers a service reminder. On the 2022 and 23 models and older, there is a way to toggle between the buttons on the steering wheel and go into the service mode reset feature. I have purchased the service a and service b that will trigger at 10K and 20K miles. But if I keep the car longer than 20,000 mi I intend to do my own service and do my own resetting of the service message. If I have to go out and buy a ODB2 tool to reset this I Will do that. I love the technology and mbox and the non-textile approach that Mercedes has taken. But to limit us from doing our own basic service, is telling the consumer that we are not qualified to do a simple reset.😅 I live in California Southern and it gets very hot and traffic is very congested. A 4-cylinder turbo engine, going 10,000 mi even with the new Mobil 1 X2 is pushing it. That's why I am wanting to do my own service after the clock throws the service message. And of course this is after 20,000 mi. Thanks Nick for your input and also great videos.
Ah I see! Yes it’s only Mercedes staff that know how to do it as far I know (maybe other garages might too). Glad you enjoy the content! I need to visit my local one again soon and film some more videos! 👀
After many hours of driving I’ve discovered that temperature and controls for it can be displayed on the MBUX! Touch temperature on the display and it will pop a new screen with fans, temperature and Auto Mode, looks very sleek on my GLC💖
Really informative and easily digestible content Nick - you were recommended to me by Mercedes Swindon, I have just purchased a 23 plate C300 AMG Line Premium Plus Estate. Could you please direct me to how I could avoid having to input a 4 digit code into my car every time I get in, and utilise the fingerprint pad instead. Many thanks.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them! Ah that’s the first thing I did my car You do it on the first set up when you get the car. But to access it again, on the home screen, find the profile selector (usually a picture of a person top left / right) and find something along the lines of Protect User Content or something. Just toggle it off from there.
Great info as always Nick. I have a 2022 Mercedes and just out of curiosity, I thought I’d check and see if Mercedes voice command could assist me by turning on my turn signals just by using my voice. Unfortunately, she told me she wasn’t able to do that as of now. 🤣
Thank you! Ah that’s an easy one! Mercedes receive intervals for 90% of their cars are every year OR every 15k miles.. (whichever you hit first) I might make a video next year about it 🤓 when my car’s due for a big service 😎
Handy tip about the radio station presets, thank you. I use the traffic sign assist in cruise control a lot and it's very useful - the only problem is it can misread the speed limits on the back of lorries as a road sign - I've often had the car suddenly drop down to 50mph on a motorway for no reason at all - and yes, it even changed it to 80mph once and I don't think any magistrate would have believed my excuse for speeding as "the lorry did it!"
Ah awesome thank you! 🤓 Yes it can pick up signs on the back of lorries so I find it if it happens a lot, just toggle off Route Based Speed Adaption and then the speed is over to you and what you select 👍🏼
No worries! I haven’t, I don’t think there is a way to turn off adding to playlists. You should be able to add any video to any playlist on TH-cam as far as I’m aware. The only thing I’m currently changing behind the scenes is the what videos are in the playlists I’ve made but I have not turned anything off.
Awesome tutorial Nick! Just bought myself a Benz and this was very concise. Didn't miss a beat. Question please.. How do I get my screen to display full screen when using my navigation via Android auto as it seems to only use it up but so much?
Thank you! I wish it was full screen too but there are other manufacturers who have come across the same issue before. The reason is because MBUX (also known as NTG 6) on Mercedes is available in two screen sizes, 7” & 10.25”. When designing and coding I’m led to believe that you can only choose one (to maintain compatibility) for everything. So to make sure it works on all models, Mercedes of course had to go with the 7” version, which is perfect for 7” owners but of course leads to a cropped experience if you have a 10.25” screen. NTG 7 found in some new cars have higher faster processors and have one screen size leading to a full screen experience on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Hope that explains potentially why it’s like that on some cars!
@@npoleary Thank you mate! Much appreciated for feedback. Please one other question if it's even in your context of things on here but what's best way to clean leather seats as I'm hearing it's actually covered in clear coat? Anyway.. If that's not your expertise I'll understand
Oh really I’ve not heard of that before…I do aim to try and produce a video of that in the future but I’d just use any sort of leather cleaner really. I honestly haven’t tried any so at this moment in time I can’t recommend any. But…the first place I’d look at would be Autoglym as they always seem to be good 👍🏼
@npoleary Hi Nick great channel for me. Just bought a CLA 72 plate, with lots of packs on it👍. I was looking how to increase the steering wheel vibration intensity. It seems a little weak. And looking for the hands feet boot release. I've not got it to work yet 🙃
@stevedavenport6028 thank you! Sadly you can’t change that, I’ve got it on mine but not seen any settings for it. Not all cars have it, depends on the specification. Make sure you have the key and kick your foot straight in and back out at the back of the car pretty swiftly without kicking your leg on the car. If you have it, the boot will open.
Hey Nick - epic vids mate. I just purchased a 2021 GLC & noticed with Apple CarPlay it does not show directions in the HUD whereas Android Auto does. Any ideas how to enable Apple CarPlay to do this? Thanks in advance.👍
It’s not something Apple CarPlay does as far as I’ve seen. I didn’t realise Android Auto could even do that though, wonder if it’s something to do with “Coolwalk”. I remember hearing of an Android update a few months ago that I want to check out somewhen.
Hi Nick, hope you're doing well and thank you very much for these great tips and tricks. I was just wondering if you ever figured out how to go into assist mode on a 2024 GLC 300? The assist mode feature allows you to reset certain features like service a oil change, and some other items that I have not seen yet because I cannot figure out how to go into it. All of the TH-cam clips are outdated. Thank you again.
Oh the hidden service menu? Sadly no only Mercedes technicians know how to get in there. It apparently lets you tell the car it’s had a service I think.
Nick - Thank you for your videos, I recently purchased E53 AMG - Can you make a video that tells what all the screens mean and do. Like in this video at 5:55 on the right side of the cluster there is some sort of bulls eye what is that telling me I dont know what its displaying - things like that I have not found what they are telling me. so many options - I also noticed I have a standard feature call Power rear-window sunshade I havent found that switch. Any chance up doing reviews like a full cluster display overview?
Thank you! I’ve produced a few videos on various multimedia systems and instrument clusters but they will always be slightly different in AMG’s as they have extra things like GForce readings etc (think that’s the bulls eye one) I’ll add it to the list of possible future videos to cover! 🤓
#9: A little more detail: If cruise control is not active, RESUME 1-click turns it on at the speed last set. 2-clicks turns it on and sets it to the speed limit. BUT ALSO: when cruise control is active, RESUME 1-click will change it to the speed limit. AND ALSO there is one more cool RESUME detail: If cruise control is active, and DISTRONIC has stopped you to speed zero (e.g. at a light), the car will not proceed when the car in front of you starts pulling away - you have to tap the accelerator. HOWEVER, the RESUME button will also cause your car to proceed (and does not adopt the speed limit as it would if you were moving).
Hello Nick. So incredibly helpful. My center screen in my 2020 GLC300 suddenly is always showing a video screen of the intersection at a stop. Not sure how I caused this. Can anyone help? Thank you so much.
Oh that’s Traffic Light view 🤓 It would be in Sat nav settings I’m sure, Home Navigation Settings (bottom right) Advanced Maybe “View” but have a look for Augmented Reality and Traffic Light view, just toggle that off per user profile (if you have multiple profiles)
Hey SQ, wasn’t planning on making a video just on the headrests but it depends on the specification. If it’s electric, you just adjust it using the buttons on the door. If it’s manual, in between the lever you pull to get into the back to fold the seat forward there’s a button there to adjust it up/down
Hello, thank you for the explanatory videos. I bought my Mercedes from Canada and I send it outside (North Africa), I have the Mercedes me connect application and I would like to know if there is a possibility that I can use it to monitor my car a distance . THANKS
Hey Hedi, thank you! Glad you enjoy them! Really sorry I wouldn’t know what it’s like in other countries as it varies massively round the world. Beat thing to do is speak with your local Mercedes who should be able to help!
Merci.
I’m pretty sure Mercedes models should retain the settings when using a profile, however it might go back to default settings if you’re using Guest. That’s what it’s like on mine anyway 🤓 If that doesn’t work just get in touch with Mercedes, I’m sure they’ll be able to help 🤓 Google Translate: Je suis presque sûr que les modèles Mercedes doivent conserver les paramètres lors de l'utilisation d'un profil, mais ils peuvent revenir aux paramètres par défaut si vous utilisez Invité. En tout cas, c'est comme ça sur le mien 🤓 Si cela ne fonctionne pas, contactez Mercedes, je suis sûr qu'ils pourront vous aider 🤓
Up until today I've had to press the double arrow button and then Swipe left or right to change orders. I didn't realise until today that you can just Swipe it without pressing down.
Thanks for sharing all the tips. Very useful... Can we get trip data and mileage from full tank to full tank? My car only shows trip data for the day and next day it resets...
Thanks MEO TIME, ah there’s two trip data sets. Check this one out here: th-cam.com/video/Gfxg3rMsvTE/w-d-xo.html From Start is from the start of your journey where as From reset is until you reset it
Most cars have USB or USB-C ports. Pretty sure there was at least one USB-C port in the middle of a C-Class when I last reviewed it. For a 12V socket, there’s one in the passenger footwell (top right).
Hey davesmith5656, Yeah cars are these days! They have such sophisticated systems! 🤓 Really sorry I don’t know that, out all of the car manufacturers I review and produce content on I don’t think any of them explain that. I would imagine they do most of the work in house, but of course some components are probably sourced elsewhere. For MBUX specifically I ran a quick internet search and found this if that helps? www.luxoft.com/pr/luxoft-and-daimler-codevelop-technology-platform-that-powers-the-mbux-infotainment-system I know they also use NVIDIA for their graphic chipsets too which is pretty cool! In terms of costings, I wouldn’t know you’ll have to ask Mercedes. I do own one but it’s under warranty so if anything did happen it would be covered 👍🏼
Hi, thanks for all your help with all the tips and tricks. I have a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE. is there a way to do the tips and tricks number eight for some reason I can't figure out how to scroll through my presets only rather than every station, thanks
I would have thought that if you’re on the favourites menu, if you change the station does it not change the favourites? EQE’s on Radio I’m sure have the Radio screen labelled Favourites, FM/DAB, AM, Tune In Radio at the top. Sadly I don’t have my car at the moment and I haven’t got a visit planned at my local dealer so I can’t test it.
Thanks for the tips they are really helpful but is there a way to show the album art on media? Seems that it is showing only a few of my songs but the rest are not showing
Hey ViRsxRespect, thank you! Ah that’s an automatic process. If you have album artwork that’s the correct size to be displayed and if the car’s compatible, it’ll come through. I find it works better though when plugged in 🤓👍🏼
@npoleary - would it be possible to somehow identify which Mercedes models apply to your videos? I have an older model and I’m very interested in all your tips and tricks!
Thank you! It’s quite tricky Mercedes sell just over 30 shapes of car (new!) so that’s excluding the years and variants too. Which model did you have and what year?
Just got a new Mercedes Electric Van at my work. I found out I can plot routes straight away by just saying ok Mercedes plot a route to "......" and also change radio stations by voice.
Hi Nick, thanks for the interesting videos, always very helpful to know the tips and tricks. We have a 2022 GLS 450 with bench seats. I wonder if there is anyway to adjust the angle of the headrest in the second row. I know how to adjust up and down but not sure about forwards/backwards. I put two car seats in the second row and the headrest is kind of in the way. Another question I have is that we bought the car in the USA, the temperature is in Fahrenheit, and I only work in Celsius, is there anything in setting that we can change from F to C? Thanks
Hey Jane no worries! Ooo very nice! No sadly it’s just up and down as far as I’ve seen when I filmed one before. Again for the Celsius and Fahrenheit, sadly no I’ve not seen a setting for this before when filming in any Mercedes models. Best thing to do is ask if a dealership with Mercedes technicians to see if they have the ability to change it.
hello , i find your videos most helpful , I just brought a 2023 GLB250 and i am trying to get my adjustment entrance and exit working. i have it on under vehicle setting , any help ??
Hi and thanks for useful information. I am wondering when iPhone is connected to the EQE and MBUX is running too, if we want to call a person should we press the button on the steering wheel and say Hey Siri! Or Hey Mercedes? Which one ? Or if we just say hey Mercedes without pressing button call “ (command) Nick” is work?
No worries! 🤓 It depends if you’re using Apple CarPlay or not. If you’re using Apple CarPlay, I’d reccomend Siri but if you’re just using MBUX, stick with Hey Mercedes 😎
Hi Nick, I am following your videos for a long time and really love them. What I didn't see yet, and I don't know if it is possible, is the feature to set up your dashboard togheter with the ambient lighting and save it. As a personal theme?
@@npoleary you are correct, I didn't mentioned it. It is A class 180 AMG package 2022. But if it is not something that every MBUX system has, I will ask my dealer. Keep on doing the good job! Regards from Belgium 😊
Hi Nick, I dont think u have covers this tip. If your AC fan is at full blower and u make or receive a call with your connected phone, mbux will lower the speed of the air blower during the call. Once u disconnect it will go back to the original blower speed. I would love it if I can get a shout out in the next video when u cover it. Thanks
I think I mentioned it in my Climate Control video as to what AUTO actually does in addition to just controlling the fan speed for temp. Yes it’s pretty clever! Might mention it again someday! 😛
Hi cam you please show specific mbux functions on the CLA 180EXECUTIVE SPORT COUPÉ. I JUST BOUGHT A BRAND NEW ONE 2024 AND WANT TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY TH-cam VIDEOS ON SCREEN WHILE STATIONARY. THANK YOU
Ah nice! I have loads of Mercedes tutorials on my channel already that I’ve filmed at my local dealer however I do plan on going back to film some newer ones over the next few months! Mercedes in most models don’t offer TH-cam playback but I’ve also again made videos on that too: th-cam.com/video/BAMKMsxAzto/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sX-WS3wmX493h3gQ
Modern Mercedes do have this where it slows down in time for the sign but that’s on cars within the past year or so from what I’ve seen. Check with a dealer for the exact car you have or are looking at and they can let you know.
Hi Nick, I have a GLS450 4 Matic SUV 2023 How can I leave the Motor running while I’m stepping out of the car ? I leave the key in the car while my husband is in the car waiting. After 2-3 minutes the car shuts off, why is that and can I change the settings where the Motor stays running? Thank you 😊
Ah the same thing happens on my car but there’s a message that appears on the multimedia system (centre screen). Just tap that after you’ve opened the door and it should stay on
Great tutorial again Nick . Well done. I tied the window opening on my 2021 GLE AMG Line Prem+ and its not working, do you now if it should, or how can I check it in a spec list or manual please? I was surprised that an A Class can do it and mine can't. Many thanks.
Thank you! It depends on the specification not all cars can do it, it depends if you have KEYLESS-GO or not, the one with the keyless access point on the handle. Could be the battery in the key or something, it might be a little lower than it should be...just a thought.
@@npoleary thanks for the fast reply. Well, a one year old car with the highest available spec at the time in the UK. Of course I have KEYLESS-GO. That is why I don't get it why its not working. I tried both keys, and non of them seams to be working. So I don't know. I need to keep using the Mercedes Me up for opening and closing the windows but its a little more fiddley and I need to have an internet connection.
Not sure then, if you get in touch with your local Mercedes they should be able to advise and let you know. Sadly there aren’t any settings for this in the menus on the cars
I actually found the some of the voice commands slow. By the time I ask the car to close the sunroof, I had clicked the button long time ago. Anything that can be done by pressing a single button seems superfluous.
Can you move the icons on the driver screen home menu or just the central one? Another thing to ask Let’s say for example you go to Europe and change the units to kmh instead of MPH will it change any other units like temperature or just the distance and speed units?
Yes you can move the main menu icons round on the multimedia system but not the instrument cluster. If you change the units it's just distance and speed that'll change 🤓

I have a 2020 GLC63, and do believe I have some of those features.
Also, you don't have to pause after saying "Hey Mercedes" to wait for car to acknowledge. You can right away say what you want without waiting.
No millenial pause needed great!
Great tip!!
That means, I guess, you also have to leave the middle letter “T” out of the words “important” and “mountain”?
Not sure I have voice control

Awh thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Ah very nice indeed!
@npoleary hi bro 2018 c 300 also has these features. If yes, how can I activate them and parking Assisting
Possibly! It’ll most likely have the first park assist video I made on my channel, sorry I started my channel in 2020 so have limited coverage on cars before that :(
Depends on the specification of the car though but I would have thought so

Hi Nick,
I have just taken delivery of a new GLA 35 AMG. Amazing car, with so much stuff. Your videos are incredibly helpfully, keep them coming.
Oooo very nice!
Thank you! I’ll keep em coming!
New subscriber here. The features that merc have are like endless. Glad to find this channel. Great work Nick!
Thank you! You’ve made my day thank you! ☺️
Got loads of Mercedes videos lined up soon!
Hey Nick, thank you very much for your tips & tricks. I‘m driving a Mercedes A250e since 2021 and didn‘t know that the MBUX can display text messages 😊. Carry on! Greetings from Germany, Stefan
Ah awesome! Thank you glad you enjoy them!
Ah yes a little hidden feature!
Hi Nick, greetings from Italy. Getting my new GLE 400d 4MATIC Premium Plus AMG line in few weeks. Thanks for all the info you’re providing us, simply amazing.
Ooo very nice! Thank you!!
Could've just said you're getting new gle instead boasting exactly what you're getting. I'm sure Nick isn't impressed.
Keep it humble mate 😂
Hey nothing wrong with letting everyone know the package (premium / premium plus)
Basically means more specification and more gadgets to play with 👀
'In the Forest', a nice reminder you're not far from the New Forest. My family use that phrase frequently 🙂
Nick, yes that is exactly it. What happens is when you hit the 10k miles
It triggers a service reminder.
But to limit us from doing our own basic service, is telling the consumer that we are not qualified to do a simple reset.😅
I live in California Southern and it gets very hot and traffic is very congested.
Thank you so much for these very informative videos. It has helped me navigate the new system on my Benz
No worries! Thank you! 🙏
After many hours of driving I’ve discovered that temperature and controls for it can be displayed on the MBUX! Touch temperature on the display and it will pop a new screen with fans, temperature and Auto Mode, looks very sleek on my GLC💖
Custom locations was a good one Nick.
Thank you! 🙏🙏
Cheers Nick .. Always find out more stuff about my car that I never knew watching you blogs .. keep it up mate.
Thank you! 🙏🙏
Thanks again Nick, greetings from Amsterdam
Very very helpful. Thank you for this.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ah that’s the first thing I did my car
You do it on the first set up when you get the car.
But to access it again, on the home screen, find the profile selector (usually a picture of a person top left / right) and find something along the lines of Protect User Content or something. Just toggle it off from there.
Big thanks for the tips!! Nice one with being able to change icon position on home screen and radio station !!
Thank you! I’ll keep the vids coming!
Awesome. Like your tip shared on windows closing tip button. !
No worries! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative and for sure I will be using these hacks! 😎
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them! 🙏
Great videos , very helpful....
Trying to work our all the features on mine !!
Glad you enjoy the videos! 🤓
Nick you are an encyclopaedia of Mercedes.thank you for the informations
Awh thank you! I’ll keep the videos coming! 🤓👍🏼
Some of those are also available on my 2019 C class with NTG 6.5 comand.
Thanks Nick for another tips and tricks video. I’m always on the look out for your Friday videos :)
Thank you! 🙏🙏🤓
Another good one Nick 2 tips I didn’t know especially the Satnav one cheers. More interesting than football 😊
Thanks Stuart! 🤓👍🏼
Great info as always Nick. I have a 2022 Mercedes and just out of curiosity, I thought I’d check and see if Mercedes voice command could assist me by turning on my turn signals just by using my voice. Unfortunately, she told me she wasn’t able to do that as of now. 🤣
I enjoy the videos, quite informative.. I know now what features and what services are available on MBUX. Thanks
Hey Nick! Very useful videos. Could you make one about service? I'm not shure after how much "time" or "miles" I should make the service.
Thank you! Ah that’s an easy one!
Mercedes receive intervals for 90% of their cars are every year OR every 15k miles.. (whichever you hit first)
I might make a video next year about it 🤓 when my car’s due for a big service 😎
@@npoleary thank you very much Nick 🙏
Hi from Poland. Thanks for nice tips.
Thank you! 🙏🙏
Excellent and informative as always 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you! 🙏🙏
Keep it coming Nick... thank you
Thank you so much Nick.
No worries! 🤓🙏
Thank you Nick for your great videos!!
Thanks Toze! 🤓👍🏼
Thanks, Nick! Keep up the good work!
Thanks once again Nick for more super points ! Brilliant.
No worries! 🤓👍🏼
My Mazda has a small button on the door handle. It unlocks the door as well. Thanks!
Nice an clear. Thank you 🙏
Thank you! 🙏
Another great video, thanks for all the tips and trics!
Thank you! 🙏👍🏼🙏
Yes it can pick up signs on the back of lorries so I find it if it happens a lot, just toggle off Route Based Speed Adaption and then the speed is over to you and what you select 👍🏼
Common sense
Always great videos!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the tips 👌✨️
No worries thank you! 🤓
Awesome!! GLE 350 AMG(Package) 2022
Excellent like always, thank you.
No worries! Thank you! 🙏🙏
Thanks Nick! I use all your tips, really so good content you make. Each time I learn smth new❤
Ah awesome! Thank you! 🙏
Thanks for the video. Saving to my "car playlist" for easy access and revisit.
No worries! I haven’t, I don’t think there is a way to turn off adding to playlists.
You should be able to add any video to any playlist on TH-cam as far as I’m aware.
The only thing I’m currently changing behind the scenes is the what videos are in the playlists I’ve made but I have not turned anything off.
@@npoleary I was able to add it now and also saved your playlist. Keep up them coming :)
Will you make a video about the new A250e (facelift model)?
Love your channel, you are very good at it!
Thank you! Yeah I’ll defo be covering the new A-Class if I can get my hands on one! 🤓
@@npoleary thank you! Waiting for it 👍
Awesome tutorial Nick!
But…the first place I’d look at would be Autoglym as they always seem to be good 👍🏼
Hi Nick, I appreciated if you can spare sometime to show how to drive manual on GLS 63 AMG. Thanks
Hi! I’ve already covered a video on how the paddles work, although I would like to revisit that and make a newer version 🤓
Great Channel Nick. Still trying to find stuff out 😂
Thank you! What were you trying to find out?
Appreciated the iPhone tip.
Hi, great video and tips. Would you mind telling what car was featured in the video? Is that a CLA by any chance?
Thank you! It was a little while when I filmed this one at my local dealer 😅
Looked like a combination of GLA and GLB in this video 🤓
Nick - Thank you for your videos, I recently purchased E53 AMG - Can you make a video that tells what all the screens mean and do. Like in this video at 5:55 on the right side of the cluster there is some sort of bulls eye what is that telling me I dont know what its displaying - things like that I have not found what they are telling me. so many options - I also noticed I have a standard feature call Power rear-window sunshade I havent found that switch. Any chance up doing reviews like a full cluster display overview?
Thank you! I’ve produced a few videos on various multimedia systems and instrument clusters but they will always be slightly different in AMG’s as they have extra things like GForce readings etc (think that’s the bulls eye one)
I’ll add it to the list of possible future videos to cover! 🤓
Thank you so much I found it...Did you ever hear of a problem when tinting the windows. I saw something on tictok that it caused water damage
I’ve never tried sorry, the car’s I have bought have always had tinted windows in the rear so have never had them tinted.
Thank you
#9: A little more detail: If cruise control is not active, RESUME 1-click turns it on at the speed last set.
Didn’t know about that last one 👍🏼😎
Hello Nick. So incredibly helpful. My center screen in my 2020 GLC300 suddenly is always showing a video screen of the intersection at a stop. Not sure how I caused this. Can anyone help? Thank you so much.
Oh that’s Traffic Light view 🤓
It would be in Sat nav settings I’m sure,
Home
Navigation
Settings (bottom right)
Advanced
Maybe “View” but have a look for Augmented Reality and Traffic Light view, just toggle that off per user profile (if you have multiple profiles)
Hi nick. I would like to see a video of adjusting the headrest on mercedes c300d convertible.
That’s what it’s like on mine anyway 🤓
If that doesn’t work just get in touch with Mercedes, I’m sure they’ll be able to help 🤓
Check this one out here: th-cam.com/video/Gfxg3rMsvTE/w-d-xo.html
From Start is from the start of your journey where as From reset is until you reset it
Hey Nick thanks for the cool ticks..how can I charge my keypad and does my car have a cigarette lighter I want to use my vacuum. I have a c300 2023
Most cars have USB or USB-C ports. Pretty sure there was at least one USB-C port in the middle of a C-Class when I last reviewed it.
For a 12V socket, there’s one in the passenger footwell (top right).
good to know!!!
Computer on wheels. Can you please cover the sourcing of the MBUX, as in, who makes it, how reliable it is, and costs to fix it, should it break?
Hey davesmith5656,
Yeah cars are these days! They have such sophisticated systems! 🤓
Really sorry I don’t know that, out all of the car manufacturers I review and produce content on I don’t think any of them explain that.
I would imagine they do most of the work in house, but of course some components are probably sourced elsewhere. For MBUX specifically I ran a quick internet search and found this if that helps?
www.luxoft.com/pr/luxoft-and-daimler-codevelop-technology-platform-that-powers-the-mbux-infotainment-system
I know they also use NVIDIA for their graphic chipsets too which is pretty cool!
@@npoleary OK thank you
Thanks for the tips they are really helpful but is there a way to show the album art on media?
My favorite: "Hey Mercedes, make a cat sound"
Does that actually work? 😅😂
@@npoleary It does, try it out lol
I’m filming at Mercedes tomorrow, I think I might have to try!
yessss, my grandson says "hey mercedes, bark like a dog" she says "woof woof"..
Just got a new Mercedes Electric Van at my work. I found out I can plot routes straight away by just saying ok Mercedes plot a route to "......" and also change radio stations by voice.
Ah yeah! Hey Mercedes is quite useful! 👍🏼
Hello hello Nick is there much difference in the price of the GLA Mercedes and the GGLB
I would like it with the five seats not that seven but I seldom see them with the five seats could you please help
Hey Alice, don’t think there’s too much difference between them but you’ll have to speak to Mercedes to get prices etc. 🤓
Brilliant!
Say hey mercedes tell me a joke.. its quite funny sometimes.
Now that was awesome! Thanks! Can I do the same thing while in navigation for my satellite radio?
I guess so, not heard of satellite radio before but I presume it would work the same way.
@@npoleary oh yes I mean SiriusXM radio. I will try it..
Oh I think so, in the UK satellite radio doesn’t exist but I think it’s presented the same way on the screen
hello , i find your videos most helpful , I just brought a 2023 GLB250 and i am trying to get my adjustment entrance and exit working. i have it on under vehicle setting , any help ??

No 2 in the video
@@npoleary thanks so much but its still not working , I think maybe because of the back seat issue
No worries! 🤓
It depends if you’re using Apple CarPlay or not.
I’ve tried Themes before which is on selected models, it depends what model of Mercedes and year you have.
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying them!
@@npoleary you are correct, I didn't mentioned it. It is A class 180 AMG package 2022. But if it is not something that every MBUX system has, I will ask my dealer. Keep on doing the good job! Regards from Belgium 😊
You should be able to save them via the Themes on MBUX or Profiles
On your Home Screen swipe down to access Themes 👍🏼
Hi Nick,
I dont think u have covers this tip.
@Nick O'Leary just saw the video on climate control again. You haven't mentioned it.
Dang! It was a while ago when I made that video
Might have to mention it then as you said! 👀
Traffic sign assist, does this work the opposite way too, so if you were going from a 50mph to a 30mph, does it slow you down in time for the sign?
Modern Mercedes do have this where it slows down in time for the sign but that’s on cars within the past year or so from what I’ve seen. Check with a dealer for the exact car you have or are looking at and they can let you know.
Hi Nick, I have a GLS450 4 Matic SUV 2023
How can I leave the Motor running while I’m stepping out of the car ? I leave the key in the car while my husband is in the car waiting. After 2-3 minutes the car shuts off, why is that and can I change the settings where the Motor stays running? Thank you 😊
Ah the same thing happens on my car but there’s a message that appears on the multimedia system (centre screen). Just tap that after you’ve opened the door and it should stay on
Hi, Nick. Is it possible to disable by default the automatic brake assist and lane assist?
You can but as with all cars it can only be turned off per driving session 👍🏼
It’ll default back to on when you turn the car back on again
Nick, which is the maximum distance we can try this feature? Do you have any ideas? Thanks, always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Usually only a couple of metres away from the handle
Mine can scan the sign and traffic lights but it can’t stop at red lights or stop signs. I heard the more expensive S Class can.
@@npoleary ok thank you 🤩
