It's looking good...! clear plastic protection strips, attention to detail, no surprise there. The finish from your vapour blaster is absolutely incredible. Blaster envy or what.

Man I gotta say brother, out of all ,yes ALL of the anything and everything Moto channels I've personally followed for almost a decade now. Your quality of work and attention to detail is truly second to none. That is sincere honest truth. Nobody gets their machines to Museum quality. I'm quite floored by this. Cannot wait for the next episode

Small note: tighten the top stem nut with the four upper clamp pinch bolts loose. After the center nut is torqued, then tighten the fork tube pinch bolts. Otherwise, the upper clamp distorts (lower in the center, higher on the ends).
I was an owner of an 86 CR250, bought it brand new, raced it through my high school years, top three best vehicles I’ve ever owned.
Can’t wait to see the engine refurb!

I always thought that 80's CR's were the best looking motocross bikes ever made (1995 CR is obviously the king), but that Snap-On torque wrench should have its own theme song every time you take it out of the box.

VERY nice work! You're a super inspiration! I need to get back to making progress on my '64 Vespa and '61 R50/2... One thing I'd suggest is maybe spending $10-20 on a bearing grease packer. It takes a lot more than rubbing grease around them to properly pack a bearing.

Really great video and project! Just one thing, the front axel "clamp" bolts were tightened incorrectly, you're supposed to tighten the upper ones first, (when the upper ones are fully tighten, the bottom ones should still be completely loose), and after that you tighten the bottom ones. If you look it up in the service manual, they probably explain it better than I just did. It can be dangerous to ride the bike with that clamp bolted incorrectly.

I've seen that vapor blaster in use all over the net. It's dang nice. When I worked in a automotive machine shop back in the 70's it was a privilege to have access the a sand blaster. The vapor blaster is just so much better, produces a much nice cleaning. You are also getting very good with the plating of fasteners too. They're turning out simply sweet. Last thought - your approach to this project, the order in which you are doing things, seems very appropriate for catching and maintaining your audience. Nicely done.

Awesome Job!!!! Absolutely love and respect your work. I have to ask, it looked like you tightened the upper triple clamp pinch bolts securing the fork tubes, before you torqued the steering stem nut... you should leave the upper pinch bolts loose until you've torqued the steering stem down, as it brings the upper and lower triple clamps closer together. Then once you've torqued the steering stem, you can tighten the upper pinch bolts. This eliminates any unnecessary stress in the triple clamps as I'm sure you can imagine... sorry for the critique, but I felt it was important. Again, you do absolutely amazing work!!! CHEERS!!!

True but what i like about the paint protection film is that its stuck to the paint so no chance of any grit being under there grinding my lovely paint away like you would get with the rubber sleeves you can buy for those bands ;)
