Fantastic as usual. Maybe you would consider a short tutorial on what you use for your electro plating if you a stuck for some content between projects. Just a thought...
Amazing how calming it is to watch your restoration videos. informative of course too! You make your videos on a silver lining, no annoying music, skipping the boring parts, extra information when is needed. Also I find your accent and voice calming as well. Keep up the good work!
Wow, you would never know that didn't come factory direct, excellent restoration and attention to detail, love it and can't wait for the finished project, much respect bud 😉👍
The word "restore" is over used by many who think that a light cleaning and some rattle can paint do the job. Taking the time and effort to do a full disassembly, new plating, powder coating and printing your own decals take it to the top level and earn the right to be called a restoration in a much truer sense. Excellent work here as per usual. There's a reason why so many of us keep coming back. 👍
Thank you very much for your extremely accurate comment and I'm so happy to see that there are people out there that recognize the amount of time and effort it takes to restore something properly rather than just make something " look good" for the camera but is clearly not a restoration . Thank you for coming back time and again it does mean a lot to me :)

I’ve never used the bullet tool for the seals. I just use the plastic bag the seal came in. Maybe a squirt of wd-40 or pb-blaster on the bag so the seal slips on nicely. Well done sir. You make it looks easy.
Another excellent work, btw, I appreciate the photography and editing ability you do in your videos, admirable the amount of angles you photograph yourself working, walking out of the room and coming back in with parts and tools. As always , waiting for the next episode.
You are my absolute favorite TH-cam page. All I can say is more content. Waiting over 2 weeks for a new video sucks. I watched your entire Subaru build and I am not even interested in Subarus but you do AMAZING work. ❤️ from Washington state.
Thank you very much that means a lot to me, sorry about the long time between videos but sadly restoring stuff to this level and then editing all the footage doe take a fair amount of time :(
Ooof 😅 that was a lot of red locktite… The best way is to apply a small drop to the valving nut. ✌️ Carful about seeping that into the shim stack and other parts.
@19:55 Butter-fingers! Thorough job you're doing on this bike, it's going to be a beauty. Excellent skilled work and knowledge, great video/edit production. Hydraulic press of a bearing? Check. Torque wrench tension alert? Check. Oh happy viewer here.

Thank you my friend always good to hear from you. Yeah I was very happy with the way they turned out, I couldn't source the correct ones anywhere so needs must. I think I might just make my own from now on lol
Don’t forget kids! Take lots and lots of photos and notes. The angle at which that hose connects to the shock and the reservoir must be perfect! Or when you go to install it back on the motorcycle it won’t line up properly. Obviously this is pro level work. But kids don’t be afraid. Use these techniques and you can still do good work. WD-40 and solvent will do a good job. Obviously it won’t be pro level like you are seeing here👍😁But learn from his techniques they’re fantastic👍👍
Awesome work 😊👍 You could re zinc plate then chemi black (zinc & black) the hose with fittings attached as the rubber is not affected by the zinc process 👍 The hose spring can be wound off the hose and bright zinced separately.
Thank you, Yeah just years and years of the same oil being ground against the side and forced through the valve stack and no doubt super heated so yeah defo needed a rebuild even if the sticker said it cant be rebuilt ;) lol
I thought you had all the tools on the planet ! Loved the Bad motorsports obsession reference. :) Amazing video as always, such a pleasure to watch that level of quality work.
Wow, I truly just found you in the YT world. So glad I did. You make the most demanding tasks appear so easy yet I know it is not. Another crackin job.
Outstanding work! I'm taking your lead and working on restoring a 2005 Suzuki Bandit GS1200S to be my commuter bike. I hope it turns out half as good as the bikes you work on.
Nice, I have a 01 GS 1200 SS which is based on the Bandit, same engine, but with styling more like the old GSX1100R, I think only us (NZ) and Japan got them from new, so they are quite rare.
Looks great 👍 are you not concerned that while vapour blasting makes the parts look new it removes any corrosion protection (i.e clear anodising) they would have came with new. In my eyes the vapour blasting is only half of the job, the bare aluminium parts still need either re-anodising, clear coating or clear cerakote to stop them going furry fairly quickly.
Amazing transformation as usual! I recently restored a replacement shock for my ZX9r, not quite to this standard, but I whish the spring was as easy to remove. I had to wind out the adjuster and lock nuts as you did, but then use ratchet straps to compress the spring as I don't have the correct coil spring compressor, that was a workout and a half, getting it back on was too.
Haha yeah road bike springs can be a nightmare without the correct compressors luckily most MX bikes the spring isn't under pressure when you get to the top of the adjuster so as you saw makes the job a heck of alot easier.
Great work again... it is hard to decide if you are more skilled as a mechanic or as a video producer/ editor. Impressive how you handle both. Looking forward go the fork restauration. Cheers!
