    What a lovely little Corsa! You did a fantastic job! This was my first car. Mine was a 1998, deep blue, two door. It was a surprisingly agile car for the city. Sadly, Czech Republic is a "salt-friendly" country and the car completely rotted away in 2012 and had to be scrapped. Its last journey was with me, my wife and our newborn daughter from the hospital. I will never forget.

    • @arikauraniemi9383
      @arikauraniemi9383 หลายเดือนก่อน +54

      90's cars were the most economic ever produced. With a little effort one can make those cars run for 30-40 years. I have a garage, set of tools and a second-hand old Miller welding machine. My 90's cars won't go away soon. Sadly, people don't like their cars anymore, they just like to drive them. So we are wasting massive amounts of natural resources these days to produce new cars that won't last 10 years on the road.

    Massive 'like' on this one.
    I have been detailing many years, but watching TH-cam videos of professional detailers flexing about their 'skills' while cleaning already clean cars, and basically just using their videos for sponsored product placements, is getting B O R I N G.
    This was genuinely brilliant, and I say that absolutely genuinely.

    Few spray can tips:
    - buy spray can adapter that allows you to hold the can as paint gun, its cheap, it more ergonomic and your finger don't get tired 😅;
    - buy nozzles with wider spread, it will save quite a lot of time when doing larger parts like wings or doors.
    This two things from my experience was so helpful when I was painting front wings on a car I was really amazed how speedy whole process was.

    Ich finde es solche Projekte viel interessanter, als wenn man neuwertige Autos aufbereitet, wo man kaum etwas sieht.
    Ich bereite hobbymäßig auch Autos auf und freue mich über jedes alte Auto, was ich aufbereiten darf.
    Denn Dorte sieht man erst mal ein richtiges Ergebnis. Den Besitzern der Autos fallen dann teilweise die Augen aus dem Kopf, wenn sie sehen, was man aus so einem alten Auto noch rausholen kann.
    Sehr sehr gute Arbeit, die du da geleistet hast. Weiter so!

    "Cheap" cars need love too. Everyone repairs rare and expensive cars but a Standard Corsa? Rare. And honestly, these cars are still part of automotive history and culture as well. The masses get around in the "cheaper" cars not the expensive ones. And that needs to be preserved. In 20 Years, not many of those cars will be left at all I think.

    That's the first video I saw from you.
    You made it look easy and fun.
    Now I want to repair a car myself, and that is the most important thing in that type of videos.
    Keep it up! You have potencial

    Amazing video and transformation. For the plastic trim I can recommend a ceramic coating trim restorer from one of the most famous brands out there. That works like a charm and gives factory look

      @@ejoautovideos that's indeed the one I wanted to mention. Wasn't sure if YT allowed mentioning brands :)

    I love watching videos like this. I myself would like to restore an older car like this, about 20-25 years old. But I don't have enough knowledge. I already do the usual service, oil and filter change. But I would like to learn how to change at least the brake fluid and discs and pads. I would probably change the spark plugs and the coolant myself. But I have a 4-year-old car, and after the first year of use, I had the chassis and hollow parts of the body protected by a company that deals with this. They recommend renewal of protection every 2 years. The problem is that I don't have an elevator and it's disgusting to crawl down there. But every year I try at least enough to spray at least the more exposed parts around the ruts with the same product, this time in a spray (Krown).

    You really do forget that people back in the day thought the cars looked pretty for a good reason. Lovely!

    Av alla 1000-tals kanaler på YT med samma kontent, så är detta en av dom bättre. Väldigt underhållande.

    Mate, I randomly came across your channel when you just started this car and I've been hooked!! You've done such a great job on it, the difference from where you started to what it looks like now is night and day. Keep up the great work mate!! Big fan here from Sydney, Australia!!

    There are so many videos of people polishing old, red one layer paint cars because the result looks impressive just to get a clickbait thumbnail.
    I would much prefer to see an old red car with two layer paint to see what's possible with a polishing machine and a lot of time invested. At like that it's relevant or applicable to 95% of the viewers. One layer paint is a thing of the long gone past.
    I still appreciate your efforts.

    But, don’t mix an aluminum rivnut with a stainless steel screw.
    The galvanic corrosion will be incredible!

    In Argentina this was sold as a CHEVROLET Corsa, a rebranding for sure
    PD: Amazing work, may I suggest wheel caps instead of just painting them black? to give them a more sleak finish look
