The Stage honestly isn’t too bad and is actually both the shortest and easiest one I think I’ve ever seen. A couple things might catch you off guard at first, but with a little practice you should be able to perfect clear it every time.
By contrast Fuma showing up as a mid-boss’ll take some serious practice against her. Her spells aren’t terribly horrible, but she’s the type of boss that you need to know what you’re getting into before fighting her. If you fight her passively you’ll get trapped, but she’s not bad if you’ve got a plan ahead of time.
Sengo however is the polar opposite instead having a much more direct fighting style. The initial attack is always easy to avoid (more often than not she’s always aiming at you), however what you need to learn is how to avoid the many different (and sometimes overlapping) shock waves from her slashes.

At the end of the battle i can just imagine marisa using blazing star to GTFO.
More safespots! At the very start you can just hang out at the top of the screen and be completely safe.
Bombing the section with fairies pouring out of 6 magic circles rewards a lot of star items, but Sanae has the best bomb for this by far.
Fuma's second spell is actually a fair bit easier if you just circled the edge of the screen. The hands don't have a hitbox, and as long as you time it to avoid the shurikens altogether, you have a perfectly safe route which also shotguns a lot.
I'm pretty sure those "cookies" are rocks...
(I could talk for ages on how so many of these attacks have little nuances and tricks that become only apparent when you crank up the difficulty via Ultrafication, but I'll just say that the wave spell is insanely fun dodging when there's twice as many wave layers.)
TBH, the entire reason I vote for Fairies of Sorcery every time it comes up is because you’re damn good at finding the names for songs and such used in fangames - and I can’t find the name of its first extra stage theme xD
Fun fact about the spell card “Demon God: Magic Circle Furfur” Furfur is one of the demons in the Ars Goetia, aka the Lemegaton, he is a demon who, when placed into ***the triangle***, speaks the truth. It all goes back to triangles.
Mother of god....those enemy spell cards are like madness spells...I don't think anyone would be willing to dodge them....

No, your first hint that it wasn't an ido game should have been that it didn't run at ~30 FPS occasionally. :^)
For RSS I'm lucky if I ever run it at 30 fps
And RSS is the *well optimized* ido game.
To be fair, I play using Wine on mac OS X, so I shouldn't expect most windows games to run very well.
That's true, but most Windows users without high-end gaming PCs have problems with ido's games too.

It *IS* an ido game after all : The Extra Boss is kind of out of the left field.
We came here to fight demons of the Ars Goetia like we're Miriam or something. Instead, we fight the personification of Yukimura's sword that I've never seen him use in any game he appears in. I'm not kidding, in every game where I've seen Yukimura, he always fights with that spear with a T-shaped blade just like the one the Extra Boss is carrying.
It always confused me that Sengo here is supposed to be a sword, but mainly utilizes a cross spear

What a coincidence! I was playing The Battle Cats today, and I actually got _Sanada Yukimura himself_ from the Rare Cat Capsules! (For those of you who don't know, Battle Cats is a game where you lead a Cat Army to take over the world, and you can get more Cats by drawing Rare Tickets at the Cat Capsules. Yukimura is an Uber Super Rare (AKA very high quality) Cat from the Sengoku Wargods Capsule Set, which also has Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Shingen, etc)

Well, Shinjimi Nono is a part of Kaisendo now with Hollow Song of Birds and Tri-Focuser, I don't remember if he worked on BoSM at all.
I'm surprised you didn't find this too bad. The stage is easy but Sengo wrecks me a fair amount. Perhaps I just don't have the practice though.
I'm so excited for Len'en 4 because I have absolutely no idea how you're going to handle all the different routes, final bosses, etc. and I'm really looking forward to finding out. I'm assuming you're going to try and fight you-know-who, so will each video be showing the stage and all the possible bosses, or will you be doing different routes a la Great Fairy Wars? Either way, it's bound to be fun, and it'll be a game where I'm playing along for once.
Shijimi definitely worked on this. His style of modular attacks is all over the game. I'm honestly surprised Omega didn't bring it up sooner.

There's twelve playable characters across four teams, EVERY character in Len'en so far is fightable plus SIXTEEN new ones and every single one of them has Len'en style dialogue, which is to say long dialogue. I honestly have no idea how Omega is going to divide up the videos, but it's gonna be fun.

How did you unlocked extra stage? I played Normal with Sanae A and cleared without continue but with 8 missed. Still no extra? So how did you unlocked Extra?
My favorite touhou youtuber fighting my favorite bullet hell boss period a mere two days after my birthday, on a new laptop no less? ima feeling rather spoiled right about now.
Lenen 4 next? dissapointing, but entirely expected. Ido and Lenen are just too popular. Rightfully so, but it doesnt really give much of a chance for any of the other plethora of fangames out there.

If you decide to play Tri Focuser, keep in mind it takes into account five fangames made by similar fangame creator groups. Book of Star Mythology is one of them.
I don't know if you have covered White Names Spoiled Past, but it has one character from there too, so it could be a good idea to cover that game before it. But it's not terribly significant. You can definitely just get by with just the other four games.

IT's basically just the most recent post on it. Extract this and you'll get a folder named th_bsm. Then find the folder of the same name in Book of Star Mythology and replace it and all its contents with the new one you just extracted

What is Sengo anyways? I mean she uses Nyuudos, battleships and shurikens in battle. She's really confusing for me...
She's a blade tsukumogami and she's based of the "legendary Sanada warrior". And she also makes me want to play Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors again
She's both based on Yukimura Sanada and a tsukumogami of Yukimura's blade. Yukimura Sanada was especially known as the leading general on the defending side of the Siege of Osaka and in the tale of "Sanada Ten Braves". The latter is important cause a lot of her odder spell cards tend to be references to that tale.
