    For your information in regards to why it feels iffy above 8,000 RPM... your bike has a bottom and top set of fuel injectors. The 750 top injectors begin to function above 8,000 RPM. You will need the expansion module for your 750 if you want to use your quickshifter above 8K RPM. Otherwise, enjoy the ride ;)

      What about a 600 would it be okay for a 600?

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your bike is newer then an 01 It would apply for a 600 as well, a 750 in very simplified terms is a bored 600. You’re going to have secondary injectors in your 600 just like the 750 so you’ll run into a similar issue

    • @youngbullhd4482
      @youngbullhd4482 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tunerstrouble772 okay so would you recommend not getting it then since I’ll be running into this same issue? My dyno guy said it would shift smooth in any gear in any rpm range. Just iffy on spending the $300 if I’ll run into problems

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your going to get it and have it tuned by your dyno guy I’d recommend getting the expansion module with it. I honestly love my quickshifter. In anything lower then 8k it shifts like butter and above that I barely cut throttle and it shifts fast and like butter.

    Which holes do the wires from the quick shifter go into on the PC5, there are like 7 or so holes.

    i have a power commander 3 would it work my bike is a gsxr 750 2010 and if it dose work where do i buy it from and what parts do i need? with links pls

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on your power commander. A power commander 3 is different based on motorcycle. There should be 4 connectors on that specific power commander that plug into your fuel injectors. If those connectors don’t plug in then it will not work.

    Friend, didn't you need an expansion module? If I buy my Quick Shifter and connect it to my PCV, will it work without problem in all changes?

    • @tunerstrouble772

      You will need the expansion module for the secondary injectors.

    K9 Gsxr 600 here - - have the PC5, wanting to get a quick shifter.. What rod is that? Seems like all you have to swap the shift rod and buy the quick shifter switch and wire it up - - and finally program the pc5

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey sorry I didn’t see the comment!! Yeah it’s a plug and play deal. You need the dynojet shift rod A and then you have to make that extra extension. But it’s just two wires and activating it on the map after replacing the original shift linkage with the quick shifter!

  • @FIINESSA
    @FIINESSA ปีที่แล้ว

    Yoooo how do you connect to pc3 bro would love some help brought a quick shifter and bike already had pc3

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need a connector that goes into two specific pins in the pc3

  • @connorswanson8121

    Question: I bought a used quick shifter for pc3 that I’m trying to install on bike w pc5. Im going to cut the connector on the end off but the wires are too short and won’t reach the pc5. What do I do??? Anything helps:’)

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry for the late reply, they are just small signal wires that go to the PC5. You could either solder or crimp on a short extension. I’d stay with the same size or large for the wire gauge.

    I have an 09 GSXR 600 and was thinking of getting this quick shifter. As you said 50 ms is good for mid range rpm shifts, what about top end shifts, what do you think will be best option higher or lower ms

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m still messing with mine myself. I’m not sure what the 600 would run best at I think it’s just going to be a trial and error until you find the sweet spot

    • @antonioantonov5141
      @antonioantonov5141 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tuners & Trouble that’s exactly the case, it works great but definitely could be cleared up with some fine tuning

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d love to help you more but realistically our best bet would to get the bike professionally tuned!

  • @jonwavy6242
    @jonwavy6242 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    so you never dip dip the throttle, you just kick up and it changes right?

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies on my bike personally. If I’m under 10k then it’s just a kick up and it shifts no problem. If I’m really going at it and I’m past 10k it’s a very very small roll back on the throttle and it shifts like butter. Honestly I haven’t messed with the settings much so I imagine if you took it to a tuner they could make it better!

    My quickshift after 8k 9k rpm don’t shift! I tried do strong move with the feet and nothing happen

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What can to try and do is when you going to shift let off throttle a little bit before pushing with your foot.

  • @PEZ1514

    I have a tune on my bike is there anything I should be worried about potentially and accidently erasing when doing this, or is this stuff pretty idiot proof?

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The quick shifter shouldn’t really affect your tune. All it’s doing is cutting fuel for a few milliseconds. The settings for the quick shifter are in a different section then the tune itself.

    • @PEZ1514
      @PEZ1514 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tunerstrouble772 Cool! My worry is that I download this software and hook the power commander up and the tune gets erased.

    • @tunerstrouble772

      The tune won’t get erased and you can save the origami map as well just in case

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the extension it came out to exactly the same length. I just went to my local ace hardware and bought a 3/4in coupler

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      3/4in being the length of the coupler

      @@tunerstrouble772 i am about to install this as well but confused with the rod length and it being the same length with and without the sensor kinda makes no sense. Dynojet suggests buying rods A and C and cutting C to certain length to achieve desirable one. Wish someone has the exact length of the rod needed.

    Hi, i have a Kawasaki z750 and i got the 4-130 quickshifter. Do i also need to replace the stock shiftrod? Because i didnt order the dynojet rod

    • @tunerstrouble772
      @tunerstrouble772  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on your rear-sets and overall adjustability. In my bikes case when I just added my quick shifter to my oem rod it didn’t work. It made the rod to long and pushed the shifter itself into a low and awkward place where I couldn’t shift. If you just add the sensor itself to your existing rod I don’t believe it’ll work. Keep in mind you’ll be adding an addition 1-2inches in length to your rod. If anything before it comes in you could try and disconnect your shifter and roughly gauge where it would sit.
