I like mine and runs 4 locos smooth. It’s perfect for my 6 x 6 L shaped layout.

I think the EZ Command is plug and play on the EZ Track. NCE and digitrax would need the EZ track wired up for DCC.

Had mine a coupe of days. Upgrade from a hornby select 😂.... At the end of the day it's if it serves your needs. I just want to run 4 diesels and the ability to have the lights on them..... nothing more. I'm quite happy with it

I have a little N scale layout in my room, I use this controller bc it’s all i need and it’s simple to use. I got it “used” for $100 🤷

I use Digitrax on my N-Scale home layout, and all my club members use Digitrax as well. Bachmann has had spotty quality for years, especially their diesels.

    Nice video!
This aeromorph here might be planning to improve my HO collection in the future and I would rather go with something that can allow me to run more trains and have a user-friendly interface since I had experiences from using the MTH DCS system (similar to NCE) on my O gauge collection. When it comes to HO, I would like to look into either ESU or the Piko Smart Control systems even though I used to think about wanting a Bachmann Dynamis system several years back.

Just picked up the Digitrax Zephyr at Yankee Dabbler for $185. Much better solution. Bachmann needs to really step things up. Another issue I have with them is their HO trains sets still have the black roadbed with steel rails and plastic wheels on the train cars.

the only real reason I'm using the older version of this with atlas track is because my friend got an nce power cab and so he's giving me all his extra track and this so i can get started

I totally agree! Started out with the original EZCommand. Too many limitations. Ended up getting a Digitrax Zephyr Express from Yankee Dabbler.

Hey there, recently got myself back into the hobby of model train stuff, I bought some bachmann E-Z track, cars and 1 locomotive and a E-Z command plus. Looking to upgrade from an ex command plus, does anyone know any controllers that work with E-Z track?

I still think the best of all DCC systems is the Railpro system. Its sad that they dont do better marketing. Really is the top of dcc

Bought one of these off Amazon to test two DCC equiped locomotives I bought off ebay. While the locomotives worked, I was super disappointed in how I couldn't change CV values to enable operation over DC, even for over $170. I'm definitely returning it, as I have no confidence in the build quality either.
Thanks for your video though! I tried finding a forum recommendation for something better for about an hour before I gave up and bought the Bachmann. I wanted the Digitrax DCS52 but it's out of stock :(
I think I'll try finding a rail hobby group near me and see if anyone would be willing to help me change CV values to run off DC for me, as I pretty much have only DC stock in my collection.
Still, I'll like and subscribe as thanks!

I have an HO train layout using flex tracks. We wired sections to a bus wire. The landscaping is wired to a separate bus wire. We purchased a EZ Command Center controller. We do not have the track connector. Can I wire it to my track bus wire directly? The controller has two red wires with a clip. I cut the clip off because I don’t have their track of their track connector. Now I can’t figure fire out which of the two red wires is positive and which is the ground! What do I do?

tbh iam not sure if the EZ command station can handle a typical bus line layout. depending on the size of the layout the power output may not be enough. The two red wires should not matter but i would call bachmann support just to make sure.

@@rayronvr thank you. It is a small layout 23’x20’ and as you can tell total amateurs. This DCC controller is suppose to handle multiple tracks. We have two independent tracks with a controller for each. Each has a set of red wires and a wire to the outlet plug. I was just wondering if these red wires which came connect are positive and ground.

@@SkipRoGlo it is DCC. Digital AC, it does not matter which wire goes what rail, as long as there are no shorts connecting both wires. As they both alternate between ground and positive, 180° out of phase from each other. It's basically a pwm DC signal, set of pulses down one wire, then repeated down the other wire. Hence the term AC. As it is a alternating DC signal
