    These are good for profits not for health of people.
    When it comes to weight loss -
    - stick to sustainability (about 10% weight loss in an year)
    - look at culture, cuisine, climate when deciding what to eat
    - follow traditional practices in their totality (no haldi shots, no staying hungry for long hours, etc).
    Part 3 - tomorrow - 5 foods which will help in the journey of weight loss and health gain.

    I eat Poha twice a week.cant remove the belgaumite in me. I had oats for 4 months for breakfast. I have local breakfast like poha, uppit, idli, dosa. I have mango. Eat phalhar of deepavali. Eat local fruits. N I have been the leanest. I also exercise 3 times a week at home.

    Mam i have a question.. I am from Bihar n live in Delhi... Two different region n food... Should I stick to my Bihari food like sattu paratha.. Litti chokha.... Dal chawal sabji... Sattu drink... Wet khichdi or adopt delhi food like... Kadhi chawal... Rajma chawal or roti... Chhole chawal or roti... N all??

      If u get your bihari food in delhi then good..if no,then stick to what u cook and get in delhi. as long as its home-made and local, stick with it

    I have done early dinner and IF as per Luke coutinho.. and it has reduced my fat nt lean body weight.. i dodnt agree that IF is bad.. br yeah the 16 8 hr fad is wrong

    You are totally wrong about Intermittent Fasting as in :
    1. Intermittent fasting is not helping corporates to push their products. Its just about eating & non-eating window i.e. timing your food.
    2. By Intermittent fasting you actually lose body fat not just body weight in terms of muscle loss.
    3. The positive effects which you are stating that measure your hip size not body weight reduction. Hip reduction, fat reduction actually happens in Intermittent fasting.
    4. Other positive effects which are mentioned like blood sugar, BP level, more energy through out day are real outcomes of Intermittent fasting
    I am stating all this by my own experience and not just getting some fake knowledge from youtube, internet.
    My comment is not to criticize you as I know you are quite knowledgeable and experienced, but your facts about Intermittent Fasting are not correct.

    Fad diets can never be sustainable. She is absolutely right . I have lost 10 kgs just by eating smaller portions of traditional food and sticking to my daily calorie requirement. Also eating early dinner helps .Being active is also important.

      @@rupalnemane1210 while it’s best to consult a qualified dietician/ nutritionist and get a tailored diet plan , but generally eating low carb , protein and fibre rich diet is effective at least was in my case.
      That said i did not drastically change my diet just maintained the daily calorie count , and remained active.That worked for me .

    I know! I lost 8 kilos in about 6 months and people would exclaim oh u lost 15 kilos na! Ha ha. But best is, for next 2 years I ate normally..some days at a bit more but I maintained that weight. No stress. It is now, 2.5 years later that I actually lost 3 more kilos doing a juice fast, and have kept it off for 4 weeks now though I am back simply normal eating and no fasting. This makes so much sense to me. People get so impatient but even I would only ask back when people would ask..oh how many calories did u eat (I have NEVER EVER FOR ONE SECOND COUNTED CALORIES) OR how can u eat 4 bananas in a day! For me I simply made a decision to eat natural foods and avoid white sugar and processed food. It was a good choice switch replacing a bad choice. Weight loss was a side effect. Also, can ur life be an endless diet? Healthy Diet is what u must eat daily. Bht foolish people have changed meaning of word "dieting" 🙄. I can see some change to this insanity. Though still many of my friends are "calorie" counters and I just avoid them. They become foolishly fanatic. Or yeah Keto diet .....ugh! 🙄

      That's tricky. Eat your traditional foods you are used to while adapting them to locally grown grains, pulses and vegs. I'll give you an example. I was making raw mango sweet and sour chutney in India. When I was living in UK for few years, I made same style chutney with green apples. If locals are eating a lot of processed foods or lot of refined flour based foods like noodles, breads, pasta, it does not mean you should adopt that, as it is clearly unhealthy.

    PS- I Love your book don't lose your mind lose your weight.. being a Bengali in Pune, it has been tough to find the food I grew up eating, but I did stop taking lemon water early in the morning. Taking a banana every morning before workout helped me a lot too. Lot less sugar cravings.

    Exactly this same thing happened with me i visited a nutritionist and she put me on a calorie deficit deit with just protein powders for my meals. I lost 12kgs in 2.5 months and as soon as i started to eat normal home cooked food all those kgs just pounced back and i started to look more heavy and its been like more than 2 years and my weight is not decreasing at all it's just stuck no matter what i do. I wish i knew all this before consulting anyone. Anways thank you for such a good information atleast now i know that i am not alone.

    Rutuja didi... i swear i brought your book Healthy kids and God it changed my life! I used to get so confused about my kids health. No doubt i was doing everthing correct but as you correctly point out i followed social media food plans and messed my head up. And very correctly you pointed out all practical hurdles in weight-loss journey! I gained 30-32kgs during pregnancy!! Yes ! Damn and lost 8kgs in 2 years after horrible weight-loss decisions! I made same mistakes that you pointed! And now ill correct them! Thanks sister ❤❤❤❤ Note - im 5ft and weight 74/75kgs in aug 2023

    Have read all your books and follow you BUT Dont agree with you on intermittent fasting - Body is not stupid to not burn stored fat and burn muscles in the extended fasting state. Its like gathering wood during summer and burning your sofa for heat in winter.

    I am 60, and I'm suffering from depression, thyroid, high cholesterol and low back pain. Though my thyroid and cholesterol is under control, what i desperately want to do is to lose weight. I am about 5.2 and weight is 62 63 kg. I go for morning walks for about 45 minutes, exercise for my back problem which the doctors say that my lower discs are degenerating. Plesse suggest what else should i do. What should be best for breskfast, lunch snd dinner. Thsnk you

    i live in pittsburgh and the weather and vegetation here is so different from Visakhapatnam where i was born and brought up.

    I m big fan of urs however Disagree with u wrt fasting. Plz do some more research to read autuphagy. Also it is written in Ayurveda tif u eat once u r yogi, 2 times than bhogi and three times tha rogi! Fasting does glycolysis and eventually fat is broken so one gets pure fat weight loss and not muscle atrophy to lose LBW ! I m saying this as I myself is qualified allopathic doctor.

    I lost 10kg. Still i need to loss belly but i get time walking after dinner. But i get sleeping problem with anxiety, leg pain , feel tired, chronic fatigue so i want to walk but I can't wakeup early or morning,.

    Consistency is the worst...skip a day or so because lets face it we do have bad days mentally physically and need rest..and before you know it it's 10 days since you last exercised...despite reminders etc🙄

    I have been struggling to lose weight ever since I had my kids.. I tried keto, GM diet, military diet and what not.. I started having severe hairloss, dry and patchy skin until I watched one of your videos.. I have been following the same eating method you have advised.. I have never felt so active. I don't take my weight on a scale, but last week I went to buy some clothes, and I had to buy Large instead of my usual X-Large.. so that makes a big difference.. thank you!!!!!

    Totally agree that sustainability is important Kash koi mera gym wale aur dietician ko bolta ye they want to make me loose weight3 kg in month. But my weight loss journey has been slow I eat healthy food so I dnt starve and get nutrient and even when I was in lockdown period I still lost weight not gained because I was going to weight loss journey as I was happy. It important even when u eat u should not gain weight balance should be there in everything. Why some gym trainer dietician dnt understand loosing 8 kg in 8 weeks will not help when I leave gym or start eating normal food I will gain. Strict diet going eating less or cutting food starve make u irritated and even dnt allow to concentrate health start affecting. Now I eat everything homemade but in proper balance way It help me to loose weight and even i dnt gain weight when I eat cheat day dnt excercise it sustains

    Ma'am I simply love the way you explain....this is exactly I complained to almost all dietition that how can we bring sustainability in fad diets? Because ultimately we are going to get back to the one that we are used to from our birth. My condition has also same like you explained as 100 kg to 90 and back to 110 kg. Sustainability plus weight loss...thats what I was looking forward to.
