I tried intermittent fasting and it really worked for me. I was always bloated and had so many gut issues. I had pcod and never got my periods on time. I have lost 6 kgs in 3 months and my periods got regular. But i personally believe that different things work for different people. Also, i follow Rujuta for my daily lifestyle and habits. I never stay hungry, i just eat on the right time and it automatically creates a gap of 12-14 hours. I eat my 3 meals and well gapped. I eat everything i have been eating since i was a child. Ma’am, you are truly learned and kudos to you letting us know about the actual culture of India! Our culture is healthy, most diversified and Innovative.🎉
This time I completely disagree with her... I have tried IM (14-16hrs fast) myself and never experienced all the issues that she mentioned.. Infact I'm less hungry, cravings gone, lost weight, feel better.. I don't think about food all the time.. I don't drink all the special juices she mentioned during my fast (then it's not fasting).. just water.. IM is a gradual process, you don't just start 16hr fast at once.. IM doesn't mean you have to skip breakfast.. You can have a late breakfast. But when the cravings are gone, you don't eat as much, so you end up having just 2 meals a day and maybe a snack(some nuts) in between.. You eat just as much is needed for your body.. She should have looked at the long list of researches on fasting benefits before making this video.. We already have a eating disorder (eating all the time) in our country, by saying eat eat eat she's just adding fuel to the fire..
According to science long tym stamach ko ager aap kuch nahi doge ,ya khaoge to acid banaga ye sab chize bilkul bhi scientific nhi hoti short term me result milega but long term it's harm for ur body, and according to Ayurveda u take light dinner after sunset but skipping breakfast is not good for health, any way aaj kal har kisi ka apna science 😐
I totally agree. Eating two times a day when u r most hungry is best. I have been doing so after listening to dr Dixits videos. I have my lunch by 11 to 12. And dinner by 7 to 8. Only water in between. My husband has stopped having acidity and gastric issues after following this life style. And we have our regular traditional Indian meal both the times. No fads such as low carb no fat and so on. And our haemoglobin and all is normal. It’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle which one can follow for the rest of his/her life. Eating four five times a day is not at all good for health.
I don’t think skipping breakfast is an option if you are listening to your body. Instead eat before sunset and eat nicely during the day. Intermittent fasting bhi ho jayega and digestion and metabolism and sab kuch sahi rahega.
Agree I follow the same. I have a balanced diet but seems like my body has reached a threshold there’s not much of a weight reduction. Could someone plz throw some light on to this.
It's not about skipping bfast its just that you should feel hungry when you eat plus you don't have to buy any fancy drinks vitamins ever thing available in kitchen basic vegetables fruits desi ghee what else do you need Traditional food IF go hand in hand
I eat from 8am in the morning (breakfast) and I eat dinner by 5-5:30pm and then I don’t feel hungry afterwards. This timetable feels comfortable and natural to me. It’s not a hard and fast 16:8 but it’s kind of like fasting..
I am very impress by your program mostly about cholesterol you have been clear on explaining l.dl and hdl even my doctor never make it clear to me l am amauritian thousand for your programfrom Mr raj
But what about autophagy which a person prove it that it gives you amazing benefits to fight with ur disease and he won noble prize for that too. I don’t remember his name but you know him for sure.
Think about the rural people and the farmers (typical naturally healthy people). Do you picture them eating every two hours? Then, why are they not suffering from lifestyle problems? What is breakfast after all? Anything that breaks your fast ... correct? If someone skips dinner and eats next morning that is breakfast ... if someone skips breakfast and eats lunch directly that is also breaking the fast. I have personally practised both eating every 2 hours and intermittent fasting for 16:8. If your goal is to reverse diabetes ... then eating every 2 hours is not the way to do it. I thought I was doing something healthy and ate 2 hours a day but it only took me dangerously close to diabetes. Then I watched Dr. Fung's video on youtube and started IF saw my glucose levels come down.
i have done intermittent fasting . i lost weight . i think its easy to weight . i didnt get head ache etc etc dont suddenly start intermittent fasting .. just reduce the food intake and slowly increase the time gap
I'm so happy to know this Ma'am! We need more experts like you to not make fad diets popular! I also believe in balanced eating with balanced portions and balanced time gaps. My daughter wanted to desperately try IMF to lose weight but I didn't allow her and helped her learn to inculcate right eating, right portions at the right time and basic exercises. She is losing weight and happy with her results🥰🙏🏼
She needs to do more research on IF. Eating five six times a day will increase insulin resistance. She should learn about insulin resistance and sensitivity. IF is not just about losing weight.
IF is a powerful tool, and it’s not a torture, if it’s a torture then you’re probably addicted to food and should actually be doing IF. One has to slowly ease into a fasting window, and understand what works for them. Especially for women, if shouldn’t be continued for more than 3 months at a stretch and avoided completely during menstrual cycles. Cancer feeds on sugar that’s why they give you sugar loaded solution, coz the cancer cells light up and are clearly visible on scans. So stop sugar and practice IF if you have cancer. But if you’re on the path to healing your metabolic diseases and even cancer (as per the research which she’s unaware of along with hormesis and a low carb diet) , IF is a powerful tool. I respect Rujuta and some of her principles are right. But not everyone knows everything. We have to research and do what’s right for us.
Hello Rujuta, at some point, can you also cover the topic of including Omega-3 fatty acids, DHA, EPA in our diet? What are all these and where would we get these nutrients from our tried and tested aaji’s recipes? Like you always say, our grand mom’s never fussed about these nutrients. However, I read that research links these nutrients with better brain/memory health especially as one starts aging. Is that true?
She is trying to explain the fad of intermittent fasting on daily basis which most of us are trying to incorporate in our life for quick weight loss. Even our culture has fasting days on festivals. Occasional fasting is good for health and stomach/gut as well.
Of course IF helps in reducing wt.but the theory behind is just ur on a calorie deficit for a longer window.i have and i am practicing IF.but as she said there is considerable loss of muscle mass which is not good.i follow her past 10 more years.she is the one who insists long back food should be approached and consumed with neutrality ie good and bad food classification, now the western agrees with it.any way this video makes lot of sense and logic.hats off RJ
Really helps how? With what? Without any details and more information about the circumstances, the period, the age of the person, what benefits were seen and over what period of time, were there any negative effects etc., your statement means nothing.
Every individual body is different.. a particular lifestyle/diet might not yield or suit the other. You are your best judge of your body and how you feel after adopting a diet .. the goal is to have a consistency of adopting the changes for a long term .. Personally IM has done wonders for me … also I don’t follow IM every day of the week .. it’s either 4 or 5 days a week … My digestive issues have considerably improved… weight loss .. clarity.. alert mind .. no more foggy mind in the afternoon.. Again when adopting a diet be your own judge on how you feel and whether it’s yielding any results .. I would say at-least give 3-4 weeks of implementation.. then do a self analysis… IM concept thrives on having a stable insulin level for longer time .. As many of suffer from insulin resistance.. Again be your own judge on how you feel.. do your own research and don’t follow anyone blindly.
Right mam... intermediate fast se weight loose hota hai but aur new problems ho jati hai .. .muje acidity ka issue ho gya...1-2 months medicine leni PDI...so please be careful
So what about insulin secretion every time that we eat. They say it is insulin which is secreted less during intermittent fasting which is helping in weight reduction. Please explain as This whole intermittent fasting theory is working on concept of insulin
iss field mein sabse gyaani aap hi hain. your goal is not to tell ppl how to lose weight, your goal is to make sure they understand logics, and not compromise on their well being.

Ma’am huge respect for you follow your food advice but I must say for those battling BP weight gain and inflammation IF really helps If a person is disciplined there will be no anger no issues in fact If makes one more active So I guess it’s not applicable to people of a certain age See the dismal state of people’s health in India there is rise in obesity and food related health issues First breakfast is not bad but what we eat White bread Puri masala dosa are a totall no no food So for me Dr Furhman and Dr Gregory’s food choices work but I take so many great food advice from your vlogs Thank you God bless
I usually find Rujuta quite informative and logical. But this video reflects her bias. Intermittent fasting has done wonders to many. I have been doing it for last 3 months and have been feeling healthiest in years. Lost 30lbs in 3 months. Cholesterol at 133 and triglycerides at 99. Other vitals are great too. After a long time I’m able to hit the gym and run for an hour. On most weekdays I only eat in the evenings. My dinner includes a big bowl of salad, with nuts and cheese. Salad bowl has a variety of fruits and veggies. This is followed by a meal of dal rice subzi or roti subzi. I don’t feel hungry at all after the meal. I eat a lot of ghee and butter and paneer. Also an occasional dessert. Initially you may feel hungry but if you manage for a week then you don’t even realize. And it does wonders to your body. No bloating, feel energetic, much improved stamina and sharp focus. There are reasons why it works and research has proved the benefits of IF. Anyways, you are awesome and keep doing the awesome work but on IF we will have to agree to disagree!!
All her knowledge is only from so called "experts" Obviously the medical industry and FDA want people to eat 6 times a day, they don't want to lose valuable customers.

She is absolutely RIGHT in her research & knowledge. Aaj kal logo ko adhura he pata hota hain sab... Regular interval with controlled healthy eating backed by right exercise (yoga, weight training & cardio) will diminish the problem of insulin resistance. Diet, sleep and exercise will determine the overall health.. Aur agar yeh 3 regularly routine mein hota rahe.... Toh insulin resistance he kya, nothing with imbalance, in the system. Body and nature has its own intelligence. This today's western and half known knowledge, and blindly following these unhealthy trends, not showing confidence and not valuing, but only criticising our own indian food and other cultures, is the reason for rising health concerns. Agar humare food culture, routine programmes, yoga aur baki cultures wholesome and super balancing nahi hote toh, world acceptance nahi mila hota humare Indian food culture aur exercise patterns ko. Hence, due to this multicultural richness, our ancestors had lived long healthy life. Only the sane ones and jinko sahi gyaan hain humare bhartiya khaan paan, aur baki sabhi padhatiyo ka wahi iski kadra janta hain. Like Dr. Rujuta Diwekar.
I have been following your videos and advice for many years and was comfortable when you were speaking in English.,(since I don’t know Hindi), kindly consider my request to upload in English.
I disagree with Rujuta for the very first time. IF is a great way to avoid a lot of health issues, if done right. There is a lot of research which supports this. People should follow Dr. Pradip Jamnadas TH-cam channel where he has dissected the entire thing which research and logic, and shared very easy guidelines to follow. Dr. Jason Fung has also published a lot on this topic and has books. They don't promote any app or food products or brands but just a lifestyle for a healthier living. This was not a thorough video at all and was quite misleading.

I totally disagree intermittent fasting doesn't mean you eat ridiculously during your eating window or you stuff yourself with costly drinks or processed foods it's just discipline I normally eat dinner by 7 and when I getup in the morning I don't feel hungry so I eat by eleven when I'm actually feeling hungry We just eat breakfast in the morning out of habit whether or not we are hungry Just want to say intermittent fasting is great we Asians we eat a lot!! Full breakfast heavy lunch full dinner whether or not we are hungry we just eat just because it's bfast time it's lunch time it's dinr time

In short in my experience of trial and error, finally this is what works for most people. Satiety, fulfillment, not overthinking food and exercising reason ably regularly has meant that I am slimmer and leaner 50 year old than I was a thirty year old. Different strokes for different folks bur fads dont work we all finally cime back to the habits that sustainably work for our bodies
Hello rujeta ji....m apki book pd rhi hu ....khayie aur vajan ghtayie...... awesome book...hmari food ko lekr jo bhi glt fehmi bn gai h ....alg alg jgh se sunkr ya dekhkr ....uneh ak bht krara jwab h ye ki hm jo kha kr bde hue hai..vo food glt kse ho skta h ... thanku so much rujeta mam...i love you ❤❤
Ma’am, you are truly learned and kudos to you letting us know about the actual culture of India! Our culture is healthy, most diversified and Innovative.🎉
Very true in vanaras puri kahori is the favorite breakfast
Lekha Sharma… I agree with you. That is a delectable breakfast across the state of Uttar Pradesh and not just Varanasi
Hamare kathiavad me morning me fresh malai vala dahi bajre ki roti and mirchi achar khake log 90 ,92 ke hote hai and kheto me kam karte hai
Thank you Rutuja mam for promoting what our parents and our culture teaches us always. A big NO to all industries promoting health destortion
So much needed.....A big thank you
This time I completely disagree with her...
She’s so right about skipping breakfast thanks
Each one's body is different, works for some doesn't work for others..bottom line, eat when hungry.
Is it useful for good health to take only a big bowlful of fruits as breakfast? Maximum part of it being papaya. ? Pl answer. Regards.
I don’t think skipping breakfast is an option if you are listening to your body. Instead eat before sunset and eat nicely during the day. Intermittent fasting bhi ho jayega and digestion and metabolism and sab kuch sahi rahega.
Correct! Can you pls guide how you manage good diet
Exactly
Well said
Agree I follow the same. I have a balanced diet but seems like my body has reached a threshold there’s not much of a weight reduction. Could someone plz throw some light on to this.
Very useful and a must to see video for young generation especially who is always focusing on weight loss and try to skip their breakfast
It's not about skipping bfast its just that you should feel hungry when you eat plus you don't have to buy any fancy drinks vitamins ever thing available in kitchen basic vegetables fruits desi ghee what else do you need
Traditional food IF go hand in hand
I eat from 8am in the morning (breakfast) and I eat dinner by 5-5:30pm and then I don’t feel hungry afterwards. This timetable feels comfortable and natural to me. It’s not a hard and fast 16:8 but it’s kind of like fasting..
Hi Rajuta Madam, kindly tell what to do for frizzy, dull n dry hair, my age is 50, n weight is 87 kg.
This one cannot agree. Intermittent fasting helps body clean itself
yes
Exactly, today I completely disagree with her!!
You are right
Yes you are right..
Yes you are absolutely right...👍👍
I am very impress by your program mostly about cholesterol you have been clear on explaining l.dl and hdl even my doctor never make it clear to me l am amauritian thousand for your programfrom Mr raj
But what about autophagy which a person prove it that it gives you amazing benefits to fight with ur disease and he won noble prize for that too. I don’t remember his name but you know him for sure.
Par intermittent fasting to theek he na ? 12 hrs, 14hrs, 16hrs whatever we can do comfortably.
Exactly
Hi Mam! Can you please talk about Chronic Kidney Disease and the diet to follow please
I love the way she explains ❤
TRE might not help with weight loss but has benefits for longevity reducing inflammation etc
What about if I skip dairy products???very confusing 😢
i have done intermittent fasting . i lost weight . i think its easy to weight . i didnt get head ache etc etc
dont suddenly start intermittent fasting .. just reduce the food intake and slowly increase the time gap
Rujuta … these glasses suits you .. and thanks for sharing good information
I like ur method, bcoz u tell us to eat our own style of food & to actually eat but in moderation.
Sorry to say you should do more research on intermittent fasting please.I never felt mentally calm before I tried fasting as a long term.
Intermittent Fasting works wonders. Today she is completely WRONG!!
Very well said! Didn’t expect this from Intelligent Rujuta
But what to do if one is not hungry at the time of breakfast ? Should one force itself to eat ?
So true, would love to know your views about fasting....
Huge fan Rujuta but intermittent fasting really helps
I would say at-least give 3-4 weeks of implementation.. then do a self analysis…
IM concept thrives on having a stable insulin level for longer time .. As many of suffer from insulin resistance..
Again be your own judge on how you feel.. do your own research and don’t follow anyone blindly.
Excellent! I am writing this after trying both Dr. Dixit diet and IF
For the first time, did not find her up to her usual mark. The video was more on intermittent fasting.
Exactly, today she is beating all around the bush by making different jibes. IF really works wonders.
Hi dear.
I was just waiting to speak you on this.
Thank you
I follow naturpathy .. it cleanse body mainly includes fasting. Its very helpful.
U r right
Right mam... intermediate fast se weight loose hota hai but aur new problems ho jati hai .. .muje acidity ka issue ho gya...1-2 months medicine leni PDI...so please be careful

Thanks for this video.
Always good advice Rujuta...I dont why people are so fussed about this n that fad diets 🤦♀️
Rujata ji plz comment on diet for thyroid . Is there need to avoid gluten.
Thanks
Thanq. v. much Rujuta..... for the awareness
Totally agree.
All her knowledge is only from so called "experts"
Obviously the medical industry and FDA want people to eat 6 times a day, they don't want to lose valuable customers.
Hello mam... Mujhe high bp hai... Uski wajahse kidney mai load aya tha aur creatinine delivery ke time 2.1 chala gya hai ... Kya AP mujhe bta skate hai Kaisa Kam karu Creatinine... Aur kidney Kaisa thik karu.. Plz tell me

Hello Ma'am .. Gud Evening
Yes Absolutely Right .. I Hv Put Myself On Intermittent Fasting For More Than 2 Weeks Now .. Initially I Was Feeling V Happy n Then Severe Headaches Started Banging My Head Everyday Around 3 - 4 PM n Then I Realized That Its All Bcs Of 16 18 Hrs Of Fasting ... Now M At Ease With Daily Headaches Easing Up With The Passage Of Each Day ... Its Just That We Must Focus On Quality Eating Rather Then Quantity Eating ... There Is No Need To Deprive Urself Of Food Which Is Known As Anna Parmeshwara .. Thank You So Much Ma'am For This Much Required Eye Opener For Many People Like Me 👍🙏🙂💐
Mam

Good morning Mam.
Nicely explained.
You are the Best
Have a nice Day
Plz fatty liver ka bi diet btay
Hello mam, please make video on insulin resistance, non alcoholic fatty liver and pcod......

Mam workout kaise kre ispebhi vidio bnaiyena
Thank you..
What about dinner what to eat dinner
Ma'am please make a video on milk is it good for health or not
Mam aapka diet plan kaha milega we want to meet you please let me know how.please
Satvic moments jo chal raha h aaj kal kya uske bare me bta skte ho aap plo
Mam kbhi oats breakfast pe bataiye
Hi Rujuta Ma'am 😀
You are a wonderful speaker. I do enjoy all the very beneficial knowledge that your share with all of us and end up giggling a lot. 😀
I hv tried this tym gapping fasting thn I faced bad sleeping pattern n tiredness all through the day...thn I hv started brkfst, lunch, dinner bt I do my dinner till 8 n now I m quite more satisfied
i loved to eat vegetables pratha in breakfast ,but after second delivery ,i suffer from gas acidity so feeling blotting most of the time , less energy .... so finally have to skip breakfast , and take proper meal afternoon .
Please do make a video about milk tea.
I totally disagree intermittent fasting doesn't mean you eat ridiculously during your eating window or you stuff yourself with costly drinks or processed foods it's just discipline I normally eat dinner by 7 and when I getup in the morning I don't feel hungry so I eat by eleven when I'm actually feeling hungry
We just eat breakfast in the morning out of habit whether or not we are hungry
Just want to say intermittent fasting is great we Asians we eat a lot!! Full breakfast heavy lunch full dinner whether or not we are hungry we just eat just because it's bfast time it's lunch time it's dinr time
I always love watching ur videos.
Hey rujuta mam
Mai abhi aapke suggestions ke saath hi weight loss karne ki koshish kar rahi.
I loosed 2 kgs within 10 days. Sab kuch khaati thi par wheat roti ki jagah Oats/buckwheat roti aur white rice ki jagah Brown rice. Mai cheeni wali chai bhi piti hun because agar mai use na piyun to Mera pura din kharab jaata hai. Filhaal to mujhe nahi lagta ki mai sugar chod paaoongi. Par phir bhi maine 2 kg loose kiya. Beech me 5-6 days me junk food bhi khayi pat weight gain nahi hua.
Aur ab phir se diet pe aa gayi hun. 🙂
Aap gud powder le sakte ho cheeni ki jagah
@@monik5182 nahi
Mujhe nahi lagta ki sugar itni jaldi chut paayegi .
I eat lunch at 11 and dinner by 6pm. Should I avoid this? I don't eat anything in between and don't crave. I am 36yr
