My fourteen has every part, but that one scroll where you loosen the belt period trying to replace my alternator but I can't figure out how to get the belt off 😢
None of this has anything to do with a 2012 Forte, which has electric power steering, a spring loaded tensioner, etc.
did you figure out how to change your '12 Forte?
They moved the tensioner bolt i guess for the 17 so i cant get the belt loose

I was lucky 🍀 they changed my serpentine belt for me for free because they had to take it off anyway because they were charging the water pump.

That adjustment screw on the alternator is the tensioner
just a heads up..2018 is completely different than this set up so don't waste your time
How did you take off the belt on 2018 been looking. We have a tensioner but don't know what size star socket I need to release tension

You don't have any squeaking but you definitely have some knocking.
So like every other shit Kia? Just too bad I replace my 2013 engine a few months before Kia issued a recall to replace the engines.

No thats just a Kia thing, my cousins has sounded the same for the last 70k miles.
+DamienInc piston rods are fucked engine is on the way out ask any elantra/forte owner
For 70k miles lol? No. Car has 92k now. It doenst burn oil and gets driving min 45 miles a day. Its most likely injector tick exaggerated by the mic he is using.
That's every Forte like this, bro. I've had two 2012's, an EX and an SX, and they both did it.
Incidentally, "piston rods are fucked" makes absolutely no sense. I'm going to take it you're meaning the connecting rods, which it's the BEARINGS that do sometimes fail in these cars.
yup....my Cerato 2014 also have the same noise, even some other owner have too, been 7years so far so good
