If this is 2017, you shouldn't have to replace the expansion valve. That system is brand new. you said you didn't replace Condenser, so that mean you did not replace the drier which is for me more important. I have Kia soul 2012 and compressor is leaking oil. Everything is working perfect, just dripping some oil when we use the A/C. I bought a brand-new OEM, waiting for next year to see what I will do.
No need to replace expansion valve, it's too damn new. That's why you did not replace condenser, so what is the point of replacing the valve? You only replace expansion valve if the compressor broke completely, but if it is leaking and still working fine, just change compressor and no even O-rings need to replace, they are too new.
And never, ever trust those Compressor has oil in it. Always empty and measure. add the amount of oil need it, so you are 100% that has oil. a lot of missed information here.
That was the best instructional video I’ve seen. You were very clear. Is it the same procedure for a 2007 Kia spectra 5?
Really appreciate that thank you
It maybe about the same, not to sure tbh the compressors look about the same

What was the total shop hours?
1.4 hours plus "evac and recharge"
Not bad
