I’m planning to move here too. What part of Pittsburg do you live in?

Did you move yet? I'm moving to Penn hills and I'm gonna need friends, lol.

Thanks so much for posting. My partner and I are thinking of moving to Pittsburgh from Salt Lake City. We were wondering if people would be friendly, and you have answered our question! We were also wondering if it would be acceptable to bring food to neighbors to introduce ourselves and make friends?

Thanks Rylee, 3 months to go and we’ll be there, I’m a huge outdoor person, any good backpacking and camping? How about hunting and fishing?

I might end up there next year sometime. Is 120K realistic for an OK smaller house in the burbs or is that way under budget? I've looked and there are some available, I just don't know about the neighborhoods. Thanks.

That's my exact budget as well and I have been looking. I don't think it's impossible but its tough. Whenever something comes on the market under that price there is usually some obvious reason why. Maybe flood risk or no parking at all (if that's important to you) and of course the real gems sell right away. That is really the biggest issue. If something in that price range hits the market and its actually in decent shape, good area, good schools, all that, it will have multiple offers day one. For lower priced homes the market is still insane hot.

San Diego sales tax is 7.75%. Seven percent is reasonable.
