    Need to talk about flooding on Mon warf parking. Cars get abused with bumpy and pothole and salt causes cars to rust out. Growing up cars rushed out before being payed off. Big change for me living in South cars last longer. Commute are longer but take less time. Heating is alot less. Alot people burn coal for heating more BTU per dollar compared up gas electricity oil. Duquesne light has one highest rate per kilowatt hour compared to Penn electric and west Penn power. High water and sewage and gas. Mam with all do respect. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh since 1959. Our winters are rough and the rains come and go like anywhere else. So i say if you don't like it here move. I live in Allegheny County. I love working in Downtown Pittsburgh one bus. True everything has changed since the pandemic but light up night is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. Im very greatful to still live here. Id rather live here than in Dallas. I miss the older Pittsburgh with Horns Kauffman's and Gimbles. This is a georgious city. So god bless you and have a great day. Peace.

      That varies widely with the size of the home, construction style/age of the home, what type/quality of windows, whether the house is insulated properly and what type of insulation is used, if it’s gas or electric heat, forced air, baseboard or hot water heat, etc. When you are considering moving you can typically call the gas or electric company and get an estimate of the high and low bills on that property.

      The moisture funnels up from the Gulf, hits the cold air from Canada and the mountains. Boom! It condenses and you get clouds and rain. You get a lot of that in the spring, and, in the summer, early evenings. Fall is, usually, dry and sunny.

    • @Pants5739
      @Pants5739 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pittsburgh has more rainy/snowy days than most cities in the country with an average of 154 days per year of snow or rain. It’s right on par with Seattle, WA (156 days per year) and Portland, OR (153 days per year). In 1950 Pittsburgh received 48.4” of precipitation and 69.7” of snow according to Extreme Weather Watch. Compare that to 2022, where we saw 42.5” of precipitation and 49.2” of snow.
      Pittsburgh does not, however, have the most trees as she suggests (it ranks #34 out of the top 50 cities with the most trees in the US).

    You totally dropped the ball on this one because you didn't mention it. Yeah the winters can drag on. And it rains a lot. But the worst thing, more than anything else, is the humidity. It makes the summers unbearable. Way worse than winter. Just yesterday it rained and it was hot. A hot rain. Just ugly to be in. I can't even roll my windows down while I'm driving in my car on a sunny day because if I do, it'll be like I just got out of a sauna when I get to where I'm going, because I'll be all sticky. Humidity is the worst thing about Pittsburgh and it's not even close.

      have another perspective. im sure you love how green it is there. the foliage and trees and etc. I'm coming from the western US. It's bone dry. and hot. and it is miserable.
