Fun fact: That really round building is from Hong Kong near the dock area has a tiny pool on the top because there were concerns that it looked too much like a cigarette. This would interrupt something called “feng shui” which is kind of like positioning things around you to get good luck and so in order to put out the “fire” or bad luck they put a tiny pool on the top.

If the city's named Dundee, maybe one of the local brands of is "Done Deal". Or take a spin on that phrase: Dunn Deal, Dun Decal, Dun Decaf, Raw Deal, etc.
Perhaps the phrase arose early in the city's history: the press headline for a shady land deal which couldn't be undone, which left its mark on many things, and which still lives on in family wealth, active social resentments, and other legends.
It could've inspired other things than retail brands: sports team names or mascots (the Dundee Swindlers), district nicknames, festivals, etc.

As usual just a beautiful; build. The entire light rail system in Dallas, Texas was built using previous cargo rai(road rights-of-way. This is a very practical way to add a light rail system through a completely developed city without having to aquire right-of-way from citizens and businesses. I have always been fascinated with Austrailia. Sydney in particular. Someday I hope to get there in person but the thought of making a nearly day long airplane flight has been the deterrent. Also because of the time required to get to Australia from Texas makes me want to see the other major cities. Only problem is with the size of Australia it's like coming to USA and wanting to visit New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas and Houston. Which are thousands of miles apart. Even Dallas and Houston both in Texas are 4.5 hours apart. I've never been to Australia but it is definitely on my bucket list.

It would be cool if you could maybe get buildings like a state parliament or old Victorian customs house that basically all Australian cities have. Maybe a mini rocks historical district like Sydney has would be really cool. It would allow to see how the city evolved.

I think it would be very interesting if you started to experiment with "third" world - Latin American cities like Mexico City. It always surprises people, and I feel it would be an interesting series, mixing the pre-hispanic with the colonial with the modernism of the last century with contemporary architecture and urbanization.

I kind of imagine this island is like a piece of Zealandia, in an alternate version of the ANZAC family, and so perhaps the rest of the world is also a bit different, and the global chains, fast food, airlines and companies are also different. I could definitely see GTA type knock of brands working well. (not in a cheesy way, just something quirky :D
