As a non-Christian, I used to despise Paul for many of the reasons stated here and elsewhere, but today I have the greatest respect for the man with the beaten and scarred body who left behind a legacy unequaled in history. Truly, he was a great credit to Jesus and the Gospel.
Hi Eric!, You've asked me for the sources of Marcion's ridiculous argument. You can see Markus's vinzent works, as well as David Litwa's interview with Derek Lambert and perhaps also the scientific data argument.
Have you ever done a video about point 21 of "Jesus and Paul taught mostly the same thing". That is, that "Kingdom work is accompanied by signs and wonders (2 Cor. 12:12 // Mark 6:7)" Or indeed about the opposing views against cessationism?
Many skeptics either dont know what a contradiction is, or they are feigning ignorance. Im not obligated to offer rock a solid explanation for every apparent contraction. One possible explanation of a apparent contradiction is enough to make it not an actual contradiction. Thats the way I've heard it explained.
I can't wait to dig into this, just heard one of the dumbest arguments against Paul ive ever heard that "the dragon in Rev 12 was talking about Paul when he persecuted the church." 🤦🏿♂️
Syria just south of Damascus was considered the northern edge of Arabia in Roman times. If you went south from Damascus you would pretty much be in “Arabia” you shouldn’t think of Arabia as the country of Saudi Arabia.
I used to dislike Paul (eventhough I'm a Christian). I thought he was boastful, had no chill and was (what I now know is called) "the Patriarchy". Luckily I've learned his introductions where his CV, not him boasting. And I have learned that all God's Laws and Rules are for our own good and not to suppress anyone. Poor Paul, he gets blamed for everything😂
How old was Mary? Old enough to be considered eligible for marriage in 1st century Galilee. Certainly older than 6 or 9. How old was Rachel? Physically big enough to water the livestock alone. Old enough to send off with a stranger to marry a far off relative.

I’m really enjoying your longer content I listen to it while I’m at work and it doing a great job of educating me on Christian apologetics.

So, "Liar, Lunatic, Lied to, or.... Laudable"?
Essentially, yes.
@@darkwolf7740 how about [legend] and [myth] 🙄
@@benclark4823If he wrote fictional myth or legend: liar. If he believed fictional myth or legend: lied to.
@@benclark4823No, because Paul was a historical person, and anyone who even attempts to deny that needs their head shaking.
@@darkwolf7740 so was Muhammad but you don’t see Christians worshiping Allah 🙄

Paul was the 1st Official Christian scapegoat. I respect the guy for going to such lengths for his faith, even if he might have been mistaken. 👍

Mary was likely around 14 to 16. As for Rachel, she was of legal age but her exact age is up to speculation 🤷♂️
@darkwolf7740 That was the point of my comment. Mary could have been as young as twelve or in her early twenties, but your figure is MUCH more likely.

@@darkwolf7740 and you Christian’s have the audacity to call Muhammad a “child predator” 🥰
Ya right, he was deceived into believing he saw Jesus and died for that belief he made up...that makes (zero) sense
