This is the most amazing youtube channel for young men curently, so glad i found it. You are doing a great job teaching the youth to be gentlemen in a world full of rude and obnoxious people. Cheers friend, all the best :)
Thank you very much! I'm very glad to hear that. Thanks for your comment
I'm female, but I'm old and know that you should always start with a navy blazer. It's required dress at many prep schools. A tweed blazer can't be worn in the summer, whereas, navy can be worn year round. Your second blazer should be the Harris tweed or equivalent.
That's funny because my first blazer was a navy blazer with gold buttons, and my second a Harris tweed! I suppose I'm playing by the rules haha
6. An E-Type Jaguar.
That would be a beauty! My first car was an XK8
I owned two classic euro sports cars both 1972 (P1800 & Karmann Ghia convertible). I got more compliments from women than men
@@Poodleoop there’s definitely a difference between the kinds of car that women will love and men will love, although there’s also some crossover
Indeed...
I was just going to offer the same comment. You beat me to it. I have been looking to acquire one of these since I was 22 years old. Now I am 67 and still looking. Some day.
There is no substitute for good manners. It costs nothing to be polite.
A gentleman is not defined the content of his wallet or the cut of his suit but by the content of his character and his manners.
I love the way these videos go straight to the point and no random filler mumbling about sponsorships or other things.
Definitely want to hear more about manners and etiquette.
Ok, thank you!
Thanks from New Zealand😊
I'm an older gentleman and have subscribed to Antonio's channel for years. It's nice to see a younger demographic attempt to educate your peers on style. Well done, sir. New subscriber!
Thank you, Scott!
Manners, etiquette and social graces are very important. I would love to see that video.
I am new money and grew up quite poor. I love beautiful items and especially cashmere and merino.
Shoes - they MUST be clean and lightly polished. And in a good state of repair. Renew the heal and soles at a good cobblers and try not to wear them more than a couple of times per week to allow them to dry out. Shoe trees are great for keeping the shoe in shape.
But I really must agree on the bit about manners. Sadly lacking from most people right now. Great video, sir.
Good advice on the shoes, thank you
The "old money trend" is hilarious. As far as looks go, I prefer subtlety to flash. But insofar as the idea is to give the impression of wealth (without wealth), it's as much a pose as is slathering oneself in designer labels. Reminds me of that old Dr. Seuss story about the Star Belly Sneetches.
Highly recommend always dressing up and going with old money look. It's classic. I always dress up and my wife and her friends always compliment me. It boosts confidence too
I don't know how I ended up on your channel, but I really like it. I totally agree that manners really make or break a person, thank you for mentioning it 😁.
Antonio Centeno! How kind of him to reach out to you, well deserved! He really is one of the best in the game as you say, he was one of the first channels I discovered when I was learning how to dress, and he completely revamped my style, along with Aaron Marino at Alpah M, Ashley Weston who is now calling her channel Men's Fashioner, and Raphael Schneider over at Gentleman's Gazette. I have since seen a video Courtney Ryan made reacting to a pretty damn sexist video Aaron Marino did some years back, that he still hasn't apologized for to my knowledge, so now I have mixed feelings about Aaron. However, the rest of the time he's so fun and so gracious, and seeing him with his wife, he's the polar opposite of a true misogynist. All the same, I don't find myself watching him in recent years. In any case, thanks to Antonio and the company, I adore the menswear TH-cam space. The video format is truly the best way to learn about style since style is a visual medium. I now own a handful of books on fashion and menswear, I own a pair of double monks, and various other things I never even wanted before I encountered menswear TH-cam, and I consider dressing well to be a way to bring happiness into strangers' lives. It sounds corny but I know it's true for me, when I see a good outfit it makes my day better. "In a world full of Logan Pauls, be a Cary Grant." Ha, YES. 👏 Another great video and another great outfit. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Cheers to your style.
Hi Jeremiah! It seems like we share a lot of the same favorite TH-camrs! I agree, TH-cam is a great way to learn about style, so it gives me so much fulfillment to grow my own space here. Thank you for your comment as always
"The Sartorialist" is a great book to see various combinations men use throughout the world with accompanying discussion.
@@williamkazak469 Cool, I just pulled it up on Amazon, and it looks good. I appreciate the recommendation!
Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for some book recommendations@@williamkazak469
Love the channel, well done!
I like this video.😊😊😊
Hi1 Old guy from the Netherlands here. Great video. Except from wearing a sweater directly over a t-shirt.
Hi, I’m 50 now, Watched some video’s already from Antonio, like the content and so on, but the type of video you make I like way bether. Good work!
I love a nice blazer or sportscoat. For my work, wearing a suit and tie everyday would be overkill, but I still like to look professional and well put together each day, so for most days, blazers paired with open collared shirts and complementing pocket squares are the perfect compromise.
I started off with mostly blues and greys, but recently I've also branched out to earthier colours like brown, forest green, and rusty red, and often in textured materials like wool or linen.
I love Antonio's channel.
Amd i feel like every guy can benefit from all of the items in this video. Good job.
Thank you, John!
Very nice video....# 5 is key among this group.
Your outfit looks great. The grey t shirt under the cable knit is perfect
Thank you! Honestly wasn't sure about that but I don't have a huge collection of T-Shirts so I'm glad you think it worked
Glad to see the channel growing!
Thank you for your support!
I'm a senior and very much appreciate your good work. More men should follow your channel and adhere to your teachings.
Take time in production. No need to be in a hurry. You're doing important work. Edits are distracting. You really don't need them. Focus.
I recently subscribed and started following your channel. You're doing great...keep going.
Yes, a collaboration with Antonio would be a blast.
Raj, from Malaysia.
Really enjoy watching your videos. Doing a great job. I have the same sports coat like you do. Mine one is from Brooks Brothers in Harris Tweed, I think your is also from BB.
Thank you! Yes, mine is also from BB in Harris Tweed
It’s very interesting you pointed out eye contact, ive been doing this for years. Surprisingly most dont return eye contact. Great video.
You could also mention the essential sportscar, preferably a vintage model with full history, polished chrome, leather seats, wood embelished dashboard and steering wheel.
You are correct! I own a modified 1981 Corvette and my wife loves it when we dress up and go out.
Oh yeah, you definitely need a steering wheel!, that's a must have !😂😂😂
Lovely! Thank you
WOW! I have 5th essential nailed already. Just need the other 4 lol
Great videos. Just subscribed. From New Zealand.
I definitely prefer the lighter hair colour which you have in these more recent videos. Looks great!
what an excellent video! All on point in terms of that 'old money' gravitas. You mentioned at the end of the video you were considering producing a video around general good manners and etiquette. I think this is a wonderful idea. There is a book 'Essential Manners for Men' by Emily Post. It's literally an A-Z on simple manners and etiquette in all situations and circumstances. Like all good manners its pretty much common sense but its a great read and its been a best seller for years, for good reason!
Thank you, that's a great suggestion and I definitely look forward to exploring this topic further!
Love the channel, good luck!
Thank you very much!
well done-- manners are both free and essential
Thank you!
Manners make'it the man!
Your channel will be huge. And I will proudly say I was here before the 10k
Thank you, sir! I’m glad to have you as one of my earliest supporters
Just scrolling through, and came across your channel, so glad I did. Your best advice is "manners",, you can dress like a king, but still be an arse, I was taught from an early age that "the cut of the cloth doesn't make the man". Looking forward to more from your channel 👍👍
@@anthonyharrison8584 thank you! I totally agree with you
Inspiring...TY.
Manners…yes!
Style for high value men, nicely done.
The recent trend for short, close fitting jackets does not make you look fashionable. It makes you look like Norman Wisdom.
Might be a long shot, but if you need an etiquette expert, I have to recommend the hilarious William Hanson.
Very informative as always, some great tips here :)
Hahaha yes William's videos are great! Who knows, maybe by the next time I'm in the UK we'll have grown this channel and he'll want to come on!
True, the blazer are the gentlemans handbag.
I would love some videos on etiquette.
William Hanson does a good job of etiquette also.
The free thing should be the first for everyone. Manners are foundations, no matter how you dress you cannot truly well dressed. Ill manners will show through sooner or later. Love the tweed herringbone jacket!
Even though I left it until last, I agree it is the most important! And thank you
Hi, what is the difference between the coat/jacket sold as a part of a suit and a blazer?
Hey, awesome picks as always, could you include sites/stores that have international shipping/ship to Europe, or even better, are based in Europe? That would be greatly appreciated!
Hey, sure! Will you let me know which of these sites are not shipping to Europe?
Also check out Paul James and Arthur Beale jumpers, Made in England!
One of my rules which elevates anyone's style in almost all situations is when in doubt wear a 'jacket' . It's versatile and a subtle cool messaging about your intentions, just ask detective Frank Bullitt .
Very good tip!
an overcoat such as london fog is definitely classier than wearing a ski parka.
Yes! Please create some etiquette videos! This is a dying art and I’m sure it would benefit a number of people.
Thanks for the excellent content.
Fountain pen, cravets, dress watch. One navy one grey suit. Two white shirts, one with cuff links one buttons. Two light blue shirts, one cuff links, one button. One pair black Oxfords one pair brown brogues. Basics. Your welcome.
@@ARedcoat Thanks for the tips Malcolm. Do you know what etiquette is?
@@FormTrends I like to think so
Next to high quality materials it’s all about the colours.
Good manners are more important than clothing although their is some connection. And, good manners don't cost anything.
I would love if you made a video about your hair style and how you do your hair like that? I find that the way one wears their hair is just as important as the clothes one chooses to wear. Also I am a fan of that style of hair do, the one you have. What is the name of such a hair style? How do you get your hair like that? Thanks.
Thank you! I'm going to film a hair tutorial this weekend :)
I’d like to hear more about etiquette in a video
I really love the grey tweed blazer you wear in the video but seems to be sold out in Brooks.
Can't find anything similar?
That's unfortunate. Now summer is coming, many stores will have cleared out their tweed. Try eBay
@@Gent.Z Ah of course - that explains it. I just think the thinner fabric blazers they sell now looks more formal. Like the casual look of the one you were wearing, but need to wait until autumn then.
what about full leather sneakers in black?
Hey man nice jacket, where did you get it from?
Thank you! It's Brooks Brothers, here's the link go.shopmy.us/p-3385389
I do wear vintage family pieces. If you have a glamorous aunt you may ask for an old pair of earrings, she will be flattered. Have them made into beautiful cuff-links. All ladies will notice and comment.
That's interesting, I never would have thought of that! Thank you for sharing
Bring on etiquette people!
An etiquette video would be great
Will do :)
is your watch worn upsidedown?
Etiquette videos would be appreciated.
Yes sir!
Cardigans 👍
#1 old money.
Time to do a video on casual and dress watches ( see the urban gentry or teddy baldsarre)
My gos this is pure dynamite and I’m 49
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
An often made mistake is a t-shirt under a polo shirt.
Some restaurants in Paris don't believe a sports jacket or blazer is elegant but I disagree
Dress shoes are uncomfortable compared to sports shoes. You have to discuss this issue. Especially American men that weight 200-300 lbs can you imagine a guy like that wearing dress shoes?
I've got the old money dress style down pat. Now all i need is the money😂. Jokes aside, it's refreshing seeing a younger gentleman putting out content like this. Great stuff. Keep up the good work, good Sir!
100% agree that men who wear sneakers with a suit look very immature.
I live with my great-grandfather.
I would say "classy style" not even "old money"
In this video he seems to be closer to an old money style idea
All Blazers are dark blue or black
I would only disagree on the shawl cardigan... I always had many of them, cashmere or knit, but without a shawl. I do not think they look feminine, this, like everything else, will depend on the rest of your outfit. They seem appropriate enough as well with a blazer and matching Oxfords, in my humble opinion.
How would a gentleman dress with diabetes? Would have to have a spare pump, CGM, Glucagon Pen, Insulin and snacks. I have a Diabetic sling bag to carry everything.
It may be a little retro and a bit passe, but the family crest on the breast of your blazer is rather amusing.
😆
still says Blazer when means Sport Jacket.
tweed jackets are considered country casual NOT dressy
derbys aren't formal, either. the oxfords shown would be DRESS shoes, yes
leather sneakers aren't dress shoes, either, btw
I criticize Antonio's advice pretty frequently, too.
Ask him which Blazer you should wear with your biker outfit, anyway.
Great video! It starts with self respect.
Posted my comment first couple of minutes in, however you need to delve into those topics a bit more
A linguistic faux pas is pronouncing the "s" in "pas".
Manners etiquette ethicsand on a lighter note table manners and how to hold your fork spoon and knife, your not in prison
The rudest people I have met have often been old money. Old money brings a sense of entitlement and, with that, arrogance and lack of consideration for others. Obvious, and well documented examples of this are Princess Margaret and Prince Andrew.
That's royalty, not old money!!,
If you have to be taught these things; which are very basic, then you clearly don’t know and will never fit in. Fact.
