It's unfortunate that restaurant staff in the U.S. is dependent on proper tipping to make a living. When out to eat, no matter if the food or service is good or bad, a 20 percent minimum gratuity is considered part of the price of that luxury. Over tipping is a gesture of generosity. Under tipping is cheap and bad manners. People don't forget things like that. How would you like others to remember you? Cheers 😎

I would definitely be interested in hearing about your experience buying a 2nd hand suit. Since suits are so infrequently worn by men today, you could possibly be purchasing a “twice worn suit” at a significant bargain. But man, those measurements have to be close, and definitely build in a trip to the tailor to the total cost.

I'm sorry but there's one thing that I don't agree not even a bit. At least in my personal opinion. Smartphones are not the reason that going to a bar alone is a lost art. I always loved to go to a bar by myself, and I don't lost that art with smartphones. It was the smoking ban that killed it. Yes, having a drink by yourself is a major part of it, but smoking is also a big part of it. Even when you don't smoke!! Smoking had somekind of a lonely purpose that makes you think. The non smoking bar is just something that don't make any sense for a lonely night at a bar. The smoking ban was what killed going to a bar alone, not the smartphone. And the smarthphone is not a replacement for the 5 minutes alone with yourself that smoking gives you.

I never try to make anyone feel bad but if someone feels bad because I dress better than they do, I don’t care. It isn’t a competition and if the other guy is that insecure, maybe improving his style is what he needs to do.

Biggest downside when dressing sharp is the fact that every time before you leave your home you get the feeling of always having to prepare yourself to put up more of a shield or guard to protect yourself from the possible malicious behavior you might encounter from public society (Southern California). Thankfully, my slim kind of muscular look helps give me the confidence to protect myself both physically and mentally.
